absolutely one of my most fav songs. every time i hear the intro i get goosebumps.
I think this video is supposed to be about Jin breaking some sort of cycle that's causing him suffering. He's accepting himself and being able to move forward from his negative feelings. But I am not completely sure.
I agree! I am still confused if it was Jin 2 or Jin 3 who broke the cycle though 🤔
I appreciate Jin more and more. These lyrics: "the shining me, this precious soul of mine.." sigh. Brings tears.
I've read some comments where people say that the storyline is ending, but the last scene in this video proves them wrong. The storyline feels so unfinished still. It can't be ending.
Counting the Jins in this MV is just too confusing. They are all Jin. Jin yesterday, today and tomorrow. Many physicists believe that time is not linear, that all moments of our lives may exist at once. But our brain processes it in a linear fashion. (Not to get all metaphysical on you.) I just love seeing the storyline as a whole and not necessarily sequential history. In that sense, the most important moments are the ones the boys share together - which is beautiful.
Minidance has some good analysis! Some people dive too deep they lose the meaning. Or some just looks at the surface and say not so important things. But you got the message over all. I think the message is pretty simple. We feel regretful and miserable because we don't love ourselves enough or know ourselves very much. So we want to always go back. But we cannot go back many times to fix our mistakes. But we can learn from those mistakes, and accept and begin to know ourselves more,and then move forward.
Thank you for this! :) I'm not sure if I'll recommend you to watch all mvs so that you can understand it all. But believe me, I've watched them all, but I still can't fully understand what's going on. I think I know what the general message is, but the way things connect is still confusing. I hope bighit does a film about this! They can make a movie that will show BTS universe in a coherent manner, and open it to theaters worldwide or release it on Netflix or something. //sigh
A straightforward movie would be interesting & helpful, also to the casual fans like myself who feel overwhelmed by the amount of background info/analysis out there. TBH I sometimes feel underqualified to post BTS reactions but I still like sharing my thoughts because... everyone can take something away from the BTS songs regardless of the knowledge level, right? Thanks for your comment! I'd be curious to hear your thoughts about Pt 2 of this reaction where I talk about Jin's character too :)
I think Jin can rewind time, so he always rewinds time and tries to fix bad things that were happening to his friends. But now he accepted the love for himself and decided to move on, cause every time he protects his friends, something bad happens to him (girl hit by the car)
Gave me chills to see him reunited with the members after he decided to move on. I am guessing the second version of Jin had the epiphany to stop the cycles?

저도 제 입장에 이입이 되면서 뭉클했습니다. 저도 나 자신을 너무 부족하고 바꿔야 할 대상으로만 보는 게 아닌가... 참 이런 순간엔 (저랑 평생 상관 없을 아이돌 분들이지만 ^^; ) 고마운 것 같아요.

In the opening isn't there a Jin taking something out of the closet to get ready to leave, a Jin on the couch and a Jin sitting beneath the window? One Jin leaves, Jin on the couch starts singing and makes window Jin sad. Then couch Jin picks up the book and leaves in the rain outside. He has his Epiphany and reverses the rain to become dry. Then returns home. After this, I'm confused about window Jin.
I could be COMPLETELY WRONG. That has been known to happen frequently. I just enjoy the song at this point. 💜
