As SpongeBob and Squidward welcomed him to the band, he made one request to sing a song, one last final cry to his lost unrequited love, the pair agreed and then at night when everyone all over town came to see the band play. The scene fades to black as they began to sing After the song: The crowd went wild and cheered as the band's road to fame began. Margaret realizing that Mordecai was the one for her, went to stop him from leaving. But as they were entering Mordecai looked at her one last time and looked away, silently acknowledging that he's moved on, which made Margaret burst into tears. The band went on to perform many songs together over the course of 10 years and made alot of new friends on the way, as well as kept contact with old ones, Mordecai ended up getting married and moved back home (Apparently the name of the place where the park is calls is "City"), with his (His wife in the canon Stef) and had children, SpongeBob would go on to buy the Krusty Krab after Krabs went bankrupt and got the formula from him, he then opened up Krusty Krabs all over the sea and currently works at the original Krusty Krab as the manager where he treats his employees better then Old Man Krabs, Patrick has settled down and has had many children and grandchildren as he would tell them tales of him and SpongeBob's adventures as well as his time as a roadie, Squidward never married and stayed in the music business and became a manager of his own company called Tentacles Records, he also spends his free time teaching clarinet lessons (He has gotten better over the years). But every year on the anniversary of their band forming, the four would gather their friends and family and perform their songs from the very first to the very last song they've ever played. This ends the story of the Undersea Vagabonds
I agree you have a great story and if you do decide to do it or know someone who will like to write this, like later have character development like spongebob growing more mature throughout the story, Squidward letting go of his ego, and anger towards spongebob, and for mordecai to grow spiritually to let go of his pain and move on
