Can you help me out? I got a notification that says the iPad software update server could not be contacted. My lab top is connected to the internet but I think my iPad isn’t. I can’t connect it tho
After downloading the update,i get an error message iTunes couldn't connect to the IPad IPad because it is locked with a passcode .You must enter your passcode on iPad before it can be used with itunes
This seems a bit weird to me. When it downloads an update, it shouldn't ask for a passcode as the entire process is ongoing on the computer system. It should start directly extracting the update and start installing it once downloaded. I suspect this might be due to the cable that is being used to connect your device to the system. If it is still not working, my suggestion is to reach out to Apple support: getsupport.apple.com/solutions

Once you see the option "Restore and Update" on iTunes, just click on it. Rest the process will do it by itself.

This is probably because the laptop did not recognize your iPad. Check with the cable is connected properly during the process
