Russia is a fascist state. Acknowledging that fact would save us countless interviews with intellectuals. It is a fascist state. So it does facist things. And the west basically tolerates this and hopes others will do the necessary job at a rather low cost.

It comes back to the simple reality that Ukraine needs quadruple the long range missiles it actually has at its disposal. The notion of a ground based counter offensive is ludicrous. It has to be done from the air, using all available air assets. Ukraine simply cannot afford to waste ground troops on fruitless expeditions like this. They don't have the force projection capacity. Western allies absolutely must quadruple defensive missile asset production. That means new fully automated factories. That is the only way to be able to supply the required defensive precision missile / drone capacity.

This is the "If I was you I would not start from here" answer. Whatever the mistakes in decision making amongst the NATO members, Ukraine has to fight now, not in 6 months time when air cover may be available through donated planes with NATO-trained Ukrainian airmen.
Ukrainian military has shown amazing adaptability and ingenuity in overcoming its inherent disadvantages. They must do the same again until conventional air cover is available. UInless, of course, russian escalation brings NATO into direct participation. so, blow up the Zaporizhia NPP, or perhaps the chemical plant in Crimea, and NATO planes with NATO pilots may enter the fray. Short of that, Ukraine must suffer the losses, mitigate its disadvantages, innovate and gradually push their invaders out until russian implodes militarilly, sociallly and politically. That may not be too far off.

It's really hard not to think the Russians wouldn't have been able to trench and fortify their lines in the east if our western governments had released the necessary arms on an urgent, rather than piecemeal, timetable. Our side was intensely worried about Russia escalating to nukes. As in all history, our caution failed to hold off the threat we were obsessively focused on. Because irony rules the world, not foreseen consequences.

as so many military experts not beholden to the koolaid of US propaganda have stated. the US and NATO have no capacity to defeat a military peer like Russia in a conventional war. NATO doesn't have the weapons, manufacturing capabilities, the resources necessary for high through-put weapons production, nor the technology... The US still cant create a workable land based hypersonic missile... Russia has several generations already and its avangard and sarmat missiles haven't even been used... these can go up to 20 mach and NATO has absolutely no missile defense system as a countermeasure..

Milley, a Trump appointee, has been a disaster. Even France wants to bring Ukraine into NATO more rapidly than the US! The $ amounts have been over counted (replacement costs overestimate the amount given tremendously!)(big fuss over 1.3 billion, but a US baseball player is negotiating for a 1/2 billion $ salary) I will be contacting my congresspeople again. The fact that the UAF does not have air superiority definitely makes their task more difficult, and therefore requires them to devise more creative ways to forge ahead w/an effective counteroffensive. There is also their allies' prohibition against Ukraine being allowed to use their more effective military weapons in Russia proper. Therefore it makes no sense to compare this counteroffensive to any other, especially the ones mentioned here, as they weren't saddled w/such formidable handicaps as is the case w/Ukraine.
It seems to me that, under the present circumstances, the UAF is performing quite admirably! Heroyam Slava!!! 💙💛

There's no handicaps on Ukraine. The US has given Ukraine lots of stuff. And the US has fought wars without outside assistance as have many countries. All these countries were more handicapped than Ukraine.
If they don't like the restrictions required to keep America safe with our weapons, they are free to stop receiving weapons to do whatever they want. But they are not entitled to our aid, and there is no handicap.

At times his vehicle is stacked with diapers even for adults as well. He will offload it and head straight back home in a remote part of Russia, load his vehicles with fresh veggies (bought locally from families), medication, tinned food and some tools. He leaves again very early in the morning, unpack all the food. He then sleep there, start working early in the morning in repairing all types of things. According to him the attention he give to these people is what they appreciate the most. He got in contact with a Ukrainian soldier and the soldier thanked him because that is a part they can't reach. The other teams concentrate on other parts in Mariupol.

the young people have never experienced soviet restrictions. They must be in shock. The elderly know of Stalins times and know how bad that was. They must know all of this is bad for russia.

It seems Russia is incapable to take the storm missiles down. It must be their speed or their trajectory that they can't see them Maybe can't react to them.

    Storm Shadow!
It didn't take the Russians long to learn to deal with that.
Sales abroad will be about as good as the discredited (but horrendously expensive) Patriot missile system.
A defense industry that puts profit first gives you the Patriot and a lot of marketing hype (lies).
A defense system that puts its job first gives you the S400 which India bought despite the huge risk of sanctions from the USA for not buying Patriot. Imagine having to threaten countries with economic damage in order to sell your stuff? (and still failing!)
