The phone is telling you something about the tutorial I hope its right lol, let me know if it works. I find also you can turn off Touch sensitivity off if its on. Simply go to settings, Display and find Touch Sensitivity and turn it off. Bonus Tips: Find a Glass screen protector that has Anti fingerprint or smudging features plastic default protector which you most like still have is not as forgiving, Also clean up your phone to make sure its snappy as delays does not help the situation.

Can water cause phantom touches because I dropped my phone is water today and managed to dry it all out and I'm wondering if there is water left that's messing up my device.
i have this too, thought it was a consequence of rage lol. i'm pretty sure it's the digitizer part of the screen that may be broken... but if that's true it's intermittent. It usually works, sometimes glitches out. My grand theory: when phones get older they start to lose the 'oleophobic' coating that prevents oils from sticking and smearing. I've rocked my phone without screen protector long enough for the coating to wear off, but i still have another (Whitestone dome) so i'll apply it and report back!
Soo. I just mounted a new screenprotector 3 days ago and my touchscreen has been working fine, not a single glitch afaik. So, the problem here is the Oleophobic coating, wearing off, causing grease to stick and test your patience 😄
@@insanebmxthomas I figured this and micro scratches on the screen getting moisture/oils in them. Ordered a screen protector and going to see if that helps the latter issue.
@@TheErazar Yes, actually it worked for my issue! I went with a kit that has a liquid glue (Alinsea) and have had no issues since! Just do a cleaner install then I haha.

I found that rebooting my Galaxy S7 clears the problem without cleaning the screen. Also just cleaning the screen doesn't make it stop. But my screen is cover with a screen protector if that make a difference.
What fixed this issue for me was running my fingernail between the edge of the glass and the metal frame of the phone. There must've been a slight pressure point somewhere. The problem went away immediately after this. The 'ghost touches' were only noticeable in some apps, in my case.
This happened to my mom's phone when the corona virus was at its highest peak. She used to spray down her phone down with lysol. 🤦🏾♀️ Can it recover from doing this method as well or would she need to replace her phone?

That worked for me. In my case, my phone fell from my pocket into the lavatory while I was urinating in stand up position. Although I rescued it straight away and cleaned it swiftly and thoroughly, (including my hands), the poor phone started to exhibit kind of "seizures" as soon as I touched it or by itself while it was over the table turning the screen on or with an irresponsive or alternatively over responsive power on / lock button. Poor little thing. After a few days looking up and down for a fix, ranging from resetting the phone to its factory state (did not), to booting it in a protected mode which did neither help, I cleaned the screen and the rest of the phone cover irrigating it generously with alcohol and cleaning everything as best as I could, and after the cleaning I used a small hairdryer to get rid of the rest of alcohol inside of the phone. It worked like a charm, now my phone is completely healthy and the seizures thanks good, completely disappeared.
I have a A02S having this issue, I think it does not have to be with cleaning the touch because the first months of use it worked normally, the problem started I think with some updates, it is the first and last time I use Samsung. but thanks anyway bro!!!
I noticed mine started typically when using Gboard. When I tap a box it will randomly start doing it. Doesn't do it all the time but I found that connection. And a reboot alone typically fixes it. So how would it be fingerprints when rebooting it takes care of it? I believe there is a software bug/conflict that causes it. That being said, I only had one Samsung and I'm experiencing this and I've have dozens of other phones and NEVER had this problem. Its a shame that Samsung doesn't fix the problem.

Had ghost touch for the first time before a system update was required. Its their way to ENFORCE the update on you. They should be brought to justice with no remorse. End them.
What I have notice is that the problem occurred when i set in the sd memory card on the smartphone and table. Smartphone has broken screen but it worked properly until i plugged sd card. Backside is over hitted and phantom touched occurred. Then i card into the new realme tablet and later after a couple of monthes phantom touches appeared on tablet which never fall.
I clean my phone screen several times a day and get nowhere it still does phantom pictures and glitches and whatever it wants like some entity or something is controlling my phone and not me so this video may be correct on some things but as far as the Samsung Galaxy a02 it is not the deal. My phone is only 3 months old by the way and I've babyed it.

I sometimes have to tap my phone several times before it actually clicks. And after that, these ghost touches started to bug me (even called a stranger by accident on WhatsApp). I just want to pluck away my screen card at this point.
I have the same problem as you but when I bought a screen protector I recently haven’t gotten any ghost touch problem. Maybe that will help you or a new screen replacement.

My ghost touch problem on my Samsung Galaxy A21s happens randomly when it feels like happening (like every couple minutes), not all the time.. and it does not happen when WIFI is turned off. No matter how much I search online, there is no solution, and once again.. I am the only one in the world with this problem (specifically ghost touch happening randomly when it feels like happening instead of all the time, and it only happens when there is wifi/internet)...
Did you try backing up and resetting your device. Based on what you have said its either really bad lag from long term use or a virus as it happens while connected to the internet. Its at least worth a try considering the severity of the issue.

And I am trying to avoid doing a factory reset because I have a RSA Token app which my bank account uses and you might be familiar with this bank as well, and whenever I try to switch it to a different device it gives me an error. My god this is so frustrating
The RSA Token app might be the possible culprit behind these ghost touches, because every time I force stop this application the ghost touch problem does not seem to happen anymore, however I can not be too sure as yet, because these ghost touches choose to happen at very random times, sometimes every 15 mins, sometimes every 15 seconds it just can not be predicted, so I can not know if the problem is really gone or its just coincidence. I will continue to monitor my phone.
Did a factory reset but the problem still persists... the android software is still updated to the latest... ughh. I dont even think my phone allows me to downgrade

@rickytlc1985 I've since removed the screen protector and it seems to working ok. I remember watching a video saying this all starting happening after an update was put out last year or earlier. At least it's stopped for now, and I have to be cleaning the screen regularly. Let's see where we go from here.
Even i watch a video it always paused even i don't touch the pause button. It Also when i swipe in fb it always back at home screen even i'm not touching it. I hope it's not my godson(5 yrs old) who died last December 2023.

It should help I find mine happens for periods then I follow the tips as given it it works. If things are really bad and nothing help I then do a reset after backing up.
Hey in my samsung phone i face such ghost touch issue when i connect it with my bluetooth speaker. Whenever i try to play some video while connected, the videos automatic get changed multiple times....and i cant watch and listen my desired video. Otherwise when not connected with Bluetooth speaker it works fine. Pls tell me what is advisable,????
That could be due to your speaker - they often have controls for skip forward/back etc on the speaker - so the speaker might have a fault that's causing it to send signals when it shouldn't. If it doesn't happen when connected to a different bluetooth device, then the phone won't be the problem.

then your issue is either your charger or the battery. You must change the charger first. If it's still ghost touching then change the battery too.

Well, I figured out what was causing my ghost touch issue.. the screen protector. The second I removed it, no more ghost touch

Other solution is: Switch off, Go to recovery mode, first clear catch, then run Graphic test, Restart and see if its solved.

Even i watch a video it always paused even i don't touch the pause button. It Also when i swipe in fb it always back at home screen even i'm not touching it. I hope it's not my godson(5 yrs old) who died last December 2023.

i just got my samsung a11 like it didn't even lasted a month and it already has this kind of issue ( i know it bec this also happened to my J2 prime and ghost touched appeared like 2-3 months i guess until it died like 3 yrs) so i'm asking if this will help bec my mom won't buy me a new one
It should help I find mine happens for periods then I follow the tips as given it it works. If things are really bad and nothing help I then do a reset after backing up.
Hey in my samsung phone i face such ghost touch issue when i connect it with my bluetooth speaker. Whenever i try to play some video while connected, the videos automatic get changed multiple times....and i cant watch and listen my desired video. Otherwise when not connected with Bluetooth speaker it works fine. Pls tell me what is advisable,????
That could be due to your speaker - they often have controls for skip forward/back etc on the speaker - so the speaker might have a fault that's causing it to send signals when it shouldn't. If it doesn't happen when connected to a different bluetooth device, then the phone won't be the problem.
