I bought this baby . Thanks Unique. My Grandfather had a New Yorker ( mid 60s) with the SAME interior! His was Dark green exterior and interior . So when i saw this Leviathan i must say, nostalgia took over and sealed the deal. U only live ONCE!
This is the car my father purchased new in 1968 in Montana..We then took it to Las Vegas, Disney Land, the Red woods and back home on a family vacation of that same year.. The nation has changed a lot since then and not for the better..
What a beauty. I understand that from 1955 through 1975, Imperial was its own brand. Although Chrysler was the parent, these cars didn't have that name on them, just Imperial Crown, LeBaron, etc.
That’s because the IMPERIAL Automobile was not a Chrysler. It’s not even VINed as a Chrysler. All Chrysler models (New Yorker, 300, Newport) carry a “C” make code in their VIN numbers. IMPERIAL does NOT. All IMPERIAL models (Custom, Crown, LeBaron) carry a “Y” . If the IMPERIAL was a “Chrysler” , as some people so vehemently CLAIM, Wouldn’t it ALSO carry a “C” make code ? But it DOESN’T…because it’s NOT a Chrysler. It’s an IMPERIAL….PERIOD. WHY do people continue to perpetuate this obvious LIE ? WHY do they CONTINUE to call a car a NAME that ISN’T EVEN ON THE CAR ? Why do they call a car something that it’s VIN DOESN’T even SAY that it IS ? BECAUSE THEY DONT DO RESEARCH!!
I recall, a dark brown car model, a little different, I'll never forget one Sunday evening, that similar car crashed into a building of a liquor store we be going to in an L.A. neighborhood I miss living in!
I've posted this comment before other places, I'll do it again here. I've always thought that the '66-67-68 Imperials were the best looking cars they built.

Damn straight - beautiful car .
It’s brilliant. I hope you’re enjoying it! However, how is it to park, and how’s your gas mileage? 🤣
@@OmicronVolkIt probably gets gallons per mile instead of miles per gallon.

I use to drive one of these, was my grandmothers. A real tank of a car
I think the 440 is the most highly respected engine Chrysler has ever produced.
Beautiful car. Cross country trip would be comfortable in this one for sure!
Looks like a neat survivor. Probably my all time favorite body style.

Haven't seen one in many years. My great uncle Louis owned one.
You probably could find the trunk thing where the key goes in either on EBAY or Hemmings
How do you correct the off-centered steering wheel?
I draw the line at popping the trunk with a screwdriver for $19,000. Maybe on a Dodge where that was OEM,but not an Imperial.
Just Gorgeous …
Awesome Chrysler Imperial 😎👍
Kind of reminds me of the 67 monaco
Car 🤟 for a president, wow what a car stunning thanks
I believe Jay Leno has one... m
Damn !! Very nice my friend...👍
Not for me, but I'm sure there are some guys in the city that would lov to drive this beauty around.

Beautiful Car, Love it. ❤
Gorgeous.
Masterpiece!!!
The “Chrysler” name is NOWHERE on this car .
I wonder how hard it would be to get the trunk lock fixed
Or to fill it up!!
Land yacht. Big old cars floated down the road.
And Jay Leno's is 67
It's an Imperial, not a Chrysler.
This is not a Chrysler. It is an Imperial.
IT'S NOT A CHRYSLER.
Its still not a Chrysler
