Thank you for the tour, was very interesting. When I was a university student i read a little book about the night watch just before an exam, to relax. That’s why that painting is very deep in my memories
It is so freeing to see borders such as this It doesn't even feel like it's a border No fences No soldiers Hope the rest of the world comes to this one day🕊✌🏻
I agree, the freedom to go wherever we want is in my opinion the best thing the EU has done for it's citizens. I remember when I was a kid there where still passport checks at the border to the netherlands. Later the border guards were still there but mostly didn't bother stopping anyone anymore, until one day there where complete gone. But it is a constant struggle, there are always people wanting to rebuild fences, corona doesn't help either..
Amazed to hear that the Germans cooperated with the Dutch guards to preserve those priceless paintings. I always heard that they used to steal the artworks.
Hoi, Noraly, you just cost me 25,000 euros for 2 bikes my Wife and I used to ride in Noord Brabant in the 90s and 00s ,we moved to Ireland and took up Scuba diving ,now after watching your videos ,we are buying 2 Yamaha t700 to see the World ,love it thanks tom and Maddy
Just showing how beautiful Europe is as well. The free borders is a great thing, especially after seeing this Armenia, Azerbaijan area where you can't go if you have been somewhere else before. The people you interact with are friendly as well, of course different to seeing a visitor/stranger once a year :)
AMAZING, AMAZING, AMAZING! Great drone videos. That lone tower shooting up in the middle of the forest at 3:20 reminded me of a scene in one of the Star Wars movies. Thanks for the Geology and History lessons. The underground tour and it being used to save people was a joy, however, not too thrilled with what the Nazis did with it and people's possessions. 🙏🏼 Thanks to the ingenuity of the Dutch guards these items were preserved. Thanks for your time and sharing this information. Looking forward to your next one. Take care and ride safe. 🖖🏽🤟🏽🇨🇦
Ok it’s 2am here in Australia and I have got to comment before the thousands others. Great videos seen them all even convinced my wife to watch. Keep them coming 🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺👍👍
After Noraly talked about the distance from nearly one end of The Netherlands to the other, it made me smile. It just brought home how huge this country is and how far the distances are we travel from day to day down here in Australia. Friends of mine travel 300km round trip each day for work, and that's nothing exceptional.
As a veteran of the U.S. Navy for 22 years, I have travelled all over the world. I never visited the Netherlands, did get as close as Belgium though. I love all of your videos, many of the places you visit I have visited as well just never your home country. Thank you so much for the videos, please keep them coming.
The moresnet story is very interesting. On belgium TV there was a series '''Publiek Geheim'' (public secrets) they had a awesome docu about the mini state
Like everyone else here I'm so grateful you are still making these videos for us to enjoy. It doesn't matter what sort of a day I'm having, as soon as I click on the upload and hear "Good Morning Internet" a smile breaks out on my face. Thank you so much!
Thanks for the awesome history lesson! My grandmother was born in Maastricht. She is a descendant of the Bisdom von Vliet family. There is a museum in Maastricht that is about the history of her family. Thanks for your amazing videos and keep doing what you do!!$
Whao ! Amazing stories ! Never imagined as I contemplated The Night Watch hanging in the Reijks Museum that it spent three years rolled up in a lime pit, fascinating ! Its a pleasure viewing Holland in all its splendor and beauty, so much culture, civility. Thank you again
Noraly, again you showed us an interesting part of the Netherlands with a high quality video. Thanks for that and also for your wonderful geology lesson.
Noraly, you amaze us more every week! Who would’ve thought we’d get to visit three countries without having to show a passport? The underground tunnel tour was absolutely fascinating. Of course, there’s the bonus of riding along with you seeing the city and countryside. Big thumbs up! Stay safe and healthy and, of course, see you in the next video!
All the countries of the EU, soon to exclude the UK, have open borders - you don't need to show a passport if travelling on land. Air travel is different, because they need to verify who you are before flying.
I'm sorry tessellater but I have to correct you, the passport free travel area has never been across the whole EU only the countries signed up to the Schengen accord. Also the UK has already left on 31/12/19, it is currently in a transition phase, but since it was one of the countries not in the Schengen zone you have always needed travel documents to go there.
1815, The Battle of Waterloo, The Last Battle between France and Great Britain before The Battle of Navarino 12 years later. Of course, The Napoleon Wars after Napoleon took over France in 1799. Of course, France supplied French Ships and Munitions to Separatists during The American Revolution, and Nathaniel Rothschild connived his way into winning the bid on the loan for The Reparations of France during The Battle of Waterloo in Belgium in 1815. Of course, Nathaniel Rothschild's brother, James Rothschild, supported Napoleon while Nathaniel Rothschild in Germany backed The British. Of course, King Frederick II married Princess Mary, the daughter of King George II who supplied over 30,000 Troops that occupied The Delaware in Trenton, NJ when George Washington crossed The Delaware. They also occupied Newport, Rhode Island as well. King Frederick II, brother of Prince William Landgrave IX, sons of King Frederick The Great. Mayer Amschel Rothschild was an agent of Prince William Landgrave IX, Nathaniel Rothschild's father. Of course, I can provide sources on that info hardly ever mentioned. Of course, The Rothschilds worked their way into The United States through August Belmont in the early 1800s, and Forbes Magazine reported that Trump's Right Hand Man, Wilbur Ross, was a chairman for The Rothschild Banking Barons for 23 years & The New York Times reported that Lady Lynn Forester de Rothschild funded Hillary Clinton's and the late Sen. John McCain's Campaigns. Of course, there is a lot that happened after The Rothschilds worked their way into The United States through August Belmont. Oh...secret things that shouldn't be secret. Of course, it is sad that so many secrets are kept from us all especially when The United States wasn't based on secrets. Of course, there were no walls under The Liberty Tree in Boston, MA and no secrets. President Jimmy Carter wrote about Baron Lionel Walter Rothschild who signed The Balfour Declaration of November, 1917 that led to the re-establishment of Israel in 1948 after The British fought the Ottoman Empire for control over Palestine before Israel was re-established in Palestine on May 14th, 1948. Of course, The Balfour Delaration is also mentioned on Winston Churchill's Website along with Chaim Weismann, a Russian Scientist, and The Rothschilds. Of course, I know history a little bit more than others since my direct ancestor is one of the reasons for our U.S. First Amendment (Establishment Clause). Thank you Noraly for your tour. I just though you should know a few important facts when it comes to 1815. I could mention more, but it might become censored.
Bedankt voor dit RUclips-bericht. Ik ben geboren in Aken en opgegroeid in de Euregio, waar ik als regio erg van houd. Vooral Maastricht vind ik geweldig.
Noraly, thank you for a wonderful video and trip across your homeland. I think it would be fantastic if every comment ended with a flag of the person writing the message. I’m sure you have so many friends all around the world. Cheers!!! 🇨🇦
Hi Norally, ... following your adventures since the start ... and now... now you actually came about 500 meters from where I live (9:18 near the cave house), would have been something if we would have met and chatted a bit and Lima could have had a chat with ‘Doerak’ (my gravel grey ) Himalayan (yep indeed) ... would have been fun. The dwelling (entrance of the cave ) is actually a real cool livinghouse of the former ‘cavesupervisor’, grotopzichter .... he lives there indeed... it is the so called Geulhemergroeve and that one hides a very, very unique geological spot, quire far away in the hill you will find the only place where you can really observe (and touch, but we don’t do that) the K/T frontier... the exact sepparation between Krijt (Cretecious) and Tertiair, hence K/T It is to found right under a collapsed ceiling and marks the exact geological spot where the dinosaurs became extinct. It’s just a few centimeters thick of gray clayish stuff,: Below it cretacious and dinosaurs, above it.. nothing anymore.. It is not open for public but there is a nice way of getting there (requesting it politely), unique in the world because of the fact that it is underground and not contaminated... if you ever come back to south of Limburg, lets have a chat.. And let Lima tell stories to Doerak.. keep up the great work. Thank you.
Even for a Dutch guy I have learned new stuff about my own country. Thanks for this, keep on make these beautiful video’s. They are good and professional and informative. Hope that soon you can return to Peru and continue your trip to Alaska with Danouh.
It is incredible that you passed by to Germany, you travel all over the world where the indications of the roads do not exist and at home you continue on the wrong path, greetings from Chile
Even as a Dutchman myself, learned a thing or two :-) Never heard about the fourth country at the "drielandenpunt" also the caves were very interesting.
been there i hitchhiked from uk in 1965 i was 16.very nice people .and now in my 70+.happy memories.but now i feel bad going for a ride on my chines 250.it will get better.be safe.
Noraly, your "underground" explorations are fantastic! I'm catching up...watched your silver mine visit last week. Keep up the fine work. You are taking travel dispatches to a new level.
You are a modern storyteller fairy and just with a selfie stick you are able to dig out stories from the past like these messages written in a cave 40 years apart by the same man. Your open-minded way to show us every part of the world you go to is a blessing. Thank you Noraly.
The tunnels are such a cool part of the Netherlands. Went on a tour of them myself about 7 years ago and felt the same. I didn't expect much, but it was a great experience. And both Maastricht and Vaals are cool places as well. .Thank you for sharing them the rest of the world!
Terrific show! So nice to be able to tour in places I have never been and knew little about. Thank you for producing this. Another fine work! Peace and joy in your travels.
A very interesting lesson about a small group of people trying to preserve the best of humanity in the face of the worst in humanity: Art vs. war. Thank you Noraly for the history lesson. As you know, events in WW2 resulted in we Canadians sharing a special bond with the Dutch people. Love and Respect from 🇨🇦.
I'm in Germany...I missed the last cutoff. three countries in three steps - fastest border crossing you have ever done. Yes, a fascinating tour and history lesson.
Hello everyone, here's Noraly travelling from Chile to Argentina to Chile to Hang on, it's even better... Netherlands to a wrong turn and dip into Germany, then back to the Netherlands with as much hassle as we get riding from Staffordshire into Shropshire into Wales and back into Shropshire and Staffordshire. You make it look so easy. I loved the ride with you, sat amazed as we entered and toured the tunnels with you, learned a lot about the geological landscape and marvelled at the easing of lockdown during this strange and, for some, dangerous time. How lucky we are and how grateful I am to be able to still be here to enjoy it. As ever, Noraly, thank you for your video, ride safe, stay safe and big hugs and thumbs up from Staffordshire, UK. 😷👍👍😷 Geoff
I wasn't sure how you would be able to make interesting videos while not being able to travel abroad. But you are doing it!!!! Your personality just shines through and brightens up wherever you are.
A friendly „Good Morning Internet", an enthusastic „Let's Go" and Itchy Boots goes 3 countries and underground - a very nice, impressive, interesting and educational excursion! By the way, i never thought a quarry could be so beautiful!👍
Here's another beautiful quarry for you. Poland, Krakow - it's almost in the center of the city - 2.3 km from Wawel Royal Castle. ruclips.net/video/mS9ssm_1-K4/видео.html or ruclips.net/video/gkHS54kM668/видео.html
Wow! I got a little bit emotional about the 'Nag Wag" by van Rijn, seeing where it was kept. When I was a child I traveled with my parents to Holland and they could not get me away from the 'Nag wag'. I cried when they wanted to move on. Hi from South Africa, I'm watching all your videos back now. I've already watched the Southern Africa tour and Guatemala to USA, which I am also watching as new episodes come out. :)
Nora is always a history class! Very cool to know more about Holland. Interesting how quarantine has made us think of new possibilities. Thank you!!!!!!
So excited to see and hear someone talking about geology. I also studied that so particularly love those sights and commentaries. Thank you for the tour of your home country. I’m happy you were able to “scratch the itch” and show us your familiar surroundings. Perhaps you saw them in a new way, too. We often take for granted the familiar.
I went through Limburg as well and suddenly found myself in Duitsland. Freaked me out a bit but it's easy to do. This episode brought back memories. Thanks ever so much.
Your channel is, quite simply, some of the best entertainment available today. Informative, educational, yes, but with dazzling style. So much personality! Many, many thanks!!
Wow that was a fabulous tour, That is a miracle that all the paintings were preserved there.. Thank you so much for showing us all that magnificent place.
What a fascinating story OMG i bit not many people know any thing about those underground history! Anyway thanks for lovely educational video ❤️from 🇮🇷
The night watch is an amazing painting. I was mesmerized when I saw it in Rijksmuseum. Rembrandt's use of light on a close gathering of people was unique and impressive. I remember reading about its vandalism by a visitor but didnt know it was kept in a vault during the war. Thanks for showing the vaults. Great things to learn about.
Thank you for the memories . Limburg and Maastricht were some of the destinations on my Bicycle tours from Oberhausen ( Germany) between 1950 and 1960 before I went to Canada . Most of the trips were " Hamster Reisen " for Food, Coffee and Chocolates. Be well. Eugen Schlaak
I’m from Kansas in the USA. My relatives are Volga Germans. Our elders also dug the limestone up in KAnsas to build each new village’s Churches. We visit a place called Monument Rock near Scott City, KAnsas. It’s amazing.
@Itchy So very nice to see you in my city. The South of Limburg is a fantastic area for making beautiful motorcycle-trips on small roads. Too bad that one of the best motorcycle-trips, the Mergelland-route, probably will be closed for motorcycles because of "noise-pollution". Very proud you made this video. Do you know how in Maastricht the "Helpoort" got its name? In medieval times at sunset all the gates to enter the city were closed. If you wanted to enter the city as a merchant with horse and carriage you were allowed to do this at this very small gate. Trying to fit through this entrance was like hel. Hence the name.
I'm so fascinated by your videos about the Netherlands, that my family will travel from Germany to Gouda next week to stay there for some days and explore as much as we can in our week of vacation. Amsterdam, Rotterdam, Utrecht, eat lot's of cheese, meet interesting people... I also have the Drielandenpunt on our list. Can't wait to sit in our car and enter the Autobahn, we'll wave to every motorbike coming along... :-)
The history of the limestone mines and tunnel system and also the vault pulled together so much history and actual events. Very interesting The point where the Netherlands, Belgium, and Germany connect must be on a few people's must-visit lists.
Thanks for share these videos!!! Here in Argentina we are in some kind of "quarantine" and can´t go out with our motorcycles. I travel with you in every video!!!
How cool! Thanks for taking us inside the vault - so much history in one place! Love when you give us some facts and history about the places you visit =)
We love watching your videos. We get to travel to places, when we are now in our 70's, that we will never get to see. Thank you for your efforts in making them.
Knowing/Seeing about that vault is worth all the trip... that's the kind of things want to see from differents countries... history is HUGE... lets discover... Thank You!!!
Second thumb up 😉 .... I wish I could give👍👍 Very interesting .... AGAIN ! I don't know when you recorded this, but it must have been early this week. Now we are back to more typical Dutch wheather. Cheers, Nard
This was very interesting Noraly! The undergroung vaults built to maintain those pictures are amazing. Glad you showed us the caves and vault because I am claustrophobic and will not go into caves. Thank you for the amazing videos.
Many thanks for going to the highest part of the Netherlands for me (for reference: see my comment on your first video). This is a really interesting video.
We had been to Maastricht many times while living in Germany but never visited the cave system, a great reason to go back again. Thanks for the information given in your usual brilliant fashion. 'Keep the knees in the breeze'
Very cool. I love how the Feller in the tunnel Came Back 40 years later and signed the wall again absolutely awesome.
Thank you for the tour, was very interesting. When I was a university student i read a little book about the night watch just before an exam, to relax. That’s why that painting is very deep in my memories
Freaking incredible vault. And The Night Watch lying there for 3 years! Incredible story. Thanks so much, Noraly.

But no breakfast :(
Here's another beautiful quarry for you.
Best thing to do in quarantine watch your videos, perfect!
You actually passed Andre Rieu’s house, it’s a little further down the road at 7:12
Nora is always a history class!
I've been enjoying these videos of the Netherlands, a beautiful country to see and hear about, so thanks for sharing this with us.
Ook deze is weer helemaal top! Kijk al weer uit naar het volgende avontuur van Noraly met Lima.
That tour was amazing. Thank you for taking us along . From Canada.
I went through Limburg as well and suddenly found myself in Duitsland. Freaked me out a bit but it's easy to do. This episode brought back memories. Thanks ever so much.
Those storages of painting it so amazing...
Awesome!!!
We are missing your south american tour, but thanks for the videos you are currently making & keeping in touch with us.
I’m not missing anything, because the current videos are great. Keep going. Buck
Seems like yesterday Noraly was 20m from anywhere a few miles high with ice sculptures on the roadside.
Love your videos!
Swansea, Wales.
Your channel is, quite simply, some of the best entertainment available today. Informative, educational, yes, but with dazzling style. So much personality! Many, many thanks!!
Cool tour of the vault. Never thought there were underground tunnels in Holland. More like dams and levies. Thanks!
Wow that was a fabulous tour, That is a miracle that all the paintings were preserved there.. Thank you so much for showing us all that magnificent place.
WHAT A STORY, Thank you so much for this video....
What a fascinating story OMG i bit not many people know any thing about those underground history! Anyway thanks for lovely educational video ❤️from 🇮🇷
3 countries in 3 steps, that must be the fastest border crossings you've had on all your travels.
As someone from the EU, this concept is nothing new. 99% of border crossings are like this.
Beautifully! Interesting! Thank you for the video!
Thank you for the memories . Limburg and Maastricht were some of the destinations on my Bicycle tours from Oberhausen ( Germany) between 1950 and 1960 before I went to Canada . Most of the trips were " Hamster Reisen " for Food, Coffee and Chocolates.
Be well.

overwhelming vlog. really got an opportunity to know something interesting about The Netherlands :). stay blessed
Yes , thank you , Noraly , the province where i live and grew up , beautiful ( and so is the rest of the Netherlands !!)
Thx for all your hard work :-) - stay safe :-)
Roma Maastricht that’s so interesting about the helpoort! :) thanks for sharing!
Love the Limburg area, I was lucky enough to be stationed there for three years!
He dare everything wil com to normal and can go on , stay safe. Greetinghs from a belgian guy
@@Loodgieter4 Yes, we need just wait. In Buenos Aires we will exceed 100 days with restrictions.
Stay safe, the virus is still there, it's only social distancing and not moving around that has slowed the spread.
Thank you for sharing an important part of the history of the Netherlands
Geology! Yay! In your travels, the landforms you show really rock me. ;)
How cool! Thanks for taking us inside the vault - so much history in one place! Love when you give us some facts and history about the places you visit =)
That was fascinating! I'm enjoying these video's of your homeland very much. Thanks for sharing. Ride Safe.
I think you are an amazing teacher. Thank you, Noraly.
3 countries in 3 seconds. You're a fast traveller.
In some parts of the world in 2020, that will just mean 42 days quarantine :P
If you rune really quickly you can 150 bordercrossings in a minute xD
I guess Noraly has got border crossings down to a fine art with all the practice.
@@stevecade857 Yeah, that is something for sure ;)
Ginger Ginger I totally agree with you
We love watching your videos. We get to travel to places, when we are now in our 70's, that we will never get to see. Thank you for your efforts in making them.
We are exploring Germany, Nederlands and Belgium. 3 in tree seconds. I hope the whole world will be like that in some years.
Daimus Domergu - if only the whole world is as equal as Germany, Netherlands and Belgium
Knowing/Seeing about that vault is worth all the trip... that's the kind of things want to see from differents countries... history is HUGE... lets discover... Thank You!!!
Second thumb up 😉 .... I wish I could give👍👍
Very interesting .... AGAIN !
I don't know when you recorded this, but it must have been early this week. Now we are back to more typical Dutch wheather. Cheers, Nard
Haha yes I recorded it on Monday.. 2e pinksterdag!
Thanks Noraly, you just get better and better.
Dammmn your two eyes really make me feel better everyday
Impresionante la historia de esos túneles .!!! Muchas gracias Noraly x compartir este video!!
This was very interesting Noraly! The undergroung vaults built to maintain those pictures are amazing. Glad you showed us the caves and vault because I am claustrophobic and will not go into caves. Thank you for the amazing videos.
Nederland is renowned for their mountains and snowy mountain peaks. excellent climbing equipment and other items related to mountain climbing.
