    great video as always! I really appreciate you saying that empirical testing leads to a bias in what can be measured: output, and explicit knowledge, which may not be the true drivers of language acquisition though they are more easily measured and quantified. It reminds me of the anecdote of the drunk man who dropped his keys in the dark, but he restricts his search only to under the streetlamp because he can see there.

    this seems to extend well beyond popular language learning youtube advice that popularizes Krashen? Which is that understanding the message is enough for acquisition.
    But from what I understand in your video, You also have to be aware &/or process what you have inputted, even figuring out patterns or as you term it "form/meaning" connections? So While the pure comprehensible input way can be a bit less "conscious", these advancements seem to require more?
