ADF Successfully Concludes Exercise Super Garuda Shield

- The ADF has successfully completed this year’s largest ever Super Garuda Shield in Indonesia. 5,000 troops from 7 participating and 12 observer nations working as one to strengthen relationships and build interoperability for future operations.
More than 125 Australian Army personnel including a troop of M1A1 Abrams tanks from 1st Armoured Regiment and an infantry platoon from 10th/27th Battalion Royal South Australia Regiment, special forces and specialist personnel trained alongside partners in and around East Java, Indonesia.
The exercise was comprised of several training phases including a Subject Matter Expert Exchange, combined arms field training, and amphibious operations. The activity culminated in a multinational live-fire training day including strikes by F-16, AH-60 Apache and other aircraft, artillery, HIMARS rocket systems and combined tank and infantry attacks.

Given these two stark disparities.... Yeah, I'd say it's a good reason to work with the Indonesians and very much keep them on side.

Blud did you live under a rock or something? Timor conflict ended more than 20 years ago, even indonesia supported East Timor to join ASEAN while Singapore being sceptical about them. But for you i guess "Indonesia still bad" because Timor.
East Timor now culturally and economically very close with Indonesia...ironically, many East Timorese dislike Australia more because of the oil theft issues.....
