Thank you for this gorgeous work of art! 😍 What breathtaking views as the train clangs and puffs down the track through all the beautiful angles of scenery. I felt like I was there! The scene at 5:30 almost made me tear up as it evoked pleasant memories of my first train ride earlier this summer 🥹. I hope some day to visit south FL and ride the Sugar train ! ❤🚂
I sure can't wait to see what the future has in store for 148 as well as US Sugar's plans to operate 148 & 1504 over their system. I've already gotten a liking for them both since 148's return to steam in 2020.
@@evanf1293 that’s alright. I think you mixed up ACL 1504 with ACL 501. We all make mistakes. But I definitely agree with you. Two Pacifics cruising through the plains of Florida. Never thought I’d say “plains of Florida”.
This new whistle equipped on USSCO 148 has a rather haunting sound. My opinion spoken. Not necessarily a bad whistle. I’ll miss 148s original whistle. I hope she gets it back.
Interesting to see the cab interior, though only on the one side. A few differences from her sister 113 that I used to run. Different brake equipment and I don't see the hydrostatic lubricator anywhere. How are the valves, cylinders, and air pumps lubricated if not from a hydrostat. Don't see any tricocks either.

I LOVE steam locomotives!
Very nice done video :)
Thanks
148 is a beautiful engine. She looks similar to S&A 750!
Are both 148 and 750 sisters? And would S&A 750 run again soon?
Both are FEC pacifics. The 750 isn’t being rebuilt
Well at least we got 148 to represent her. But I wish they would do something about S&A 750.

that whistle sounds like NN 40
remind me of it too
@@atsfevan0242 You said it
Both of their whistles are Powell 3 Chimes
I love sound

Reminds me of Hawaiian Commercial and Sugar Company on Maui Hawaii.

Such a beautiful sound! What's her voice on this occasion??
Is 148 a cousin to Nevada Northern 40?
No, different builders
Wouldnt S&A be a closer sister?
Depends which engine
@@DynamoProductions-trains she used to be florida east coast 90. then S&A 750
Yes those are sister engines
