Just wanted to say how helpful your videos are! I just got a Mac back in April for my birthday and I have been struggling with how to work GarageBand since I previously used Audacity. Your video helped me cut my first piece of music on my new computer and I have been able to successfully edit all on my own since. You explained it in a very simple yet helpful way and inspired this young dance teacher to learn how to edit her own music! Thank you!!
Thanks. I learned how to edit my mp4 files I created in 1981 on cassette tapes. I converted to digital in 2004. Me playing guitar and singing for my wife. We we stationed at different bases while in the Air Force for a year. I was able to clean the fungible sound bites.
Thanks for the cut video. I need to take a song with 2 verses and 2 choruses and add a third verse and chorus before the ending of the original song? The original is in my iTunes library.
Would you be kind enough to do a tutorial using GarageBand 10.4.2? I am so new at this and I was instructed by my new iMac to download BigSur in order to download GarageBand. I did both and none of the tips for mixing music works. I can't even drag/drop a song from Music (and my iTunes library/playlists have disappeared too) onto my desktop. It seems that this version is geared towards singer/songwriters rather than those wanting to mix songs.
Are you only using songs that do not have copyright protection? My garageband doesnt recognize a lot of my itunes songs. Supposedly its because there's a "protection" on it
Thank you so much! I rewatch this every time I have to edit, you’re a life saver! Please never delete it or I will be lost lol 😆
Thank you so much for making this! I was wanting to trim a song for my first dance and was able to by watching your video. I am so happy!!

Excellent tutorial--THANKS!!!
Thank you! Do you have any tutorials on how to edit together a medley of different songs?
It's basically the same process, but you add the different songs as tracks then fade them using her methods.
THANK YOU UR A LIFESAVER
Can you do an updated version Of this tutorial ?

hi could you do a tutorial on how to change the speed of a track in this version?
hello i need help its not allowing me to paste the song
sameeee
The problem is when you export the song to itunes, the sound is lower than the original for some reason. Any trick to fix this?
do you know how to fade out?
Everytime I drag to cut it drags the whole track

Hmm I have never had that issue! Maybe try updating the version you have?

Audacity is what you may want to use for such a simple edit. Check it out.
