This is as refreshing and vital as was the Feat with Tower of Power and the Band with Toussaint's horns. This is as good as it gets thus far in. Thankyou!
Thanks Camdenlurch for posting this great footage: the use of horns is really well done. The Ex sometimes remind me of early Gang of Four and it's good to hear they're still at it almost 30 years after their classic album "Scrabbling at the Docks" was released.
Absolutely brilliant no other words for it, watching this to take me back to ATP 2012, The Ex were the absolute highlight of the festival. Just wanting them to come back and tour Glasgow way, pretty please!
I thank you John. I have just gone out and bought all their records. How I have never heard of Soe'za before is beyond me. They should be household names. A joyful noise and no mistake.
The guitar player in the black T-shirt has a drawing of a trumpet morphed with an AK47 on the front of said shirt. Might anyone know if this is a band shirt or what association it has? I would love love love to know, as that would make a killer tattoo for a trumpet-lover. It shows well at 33:15.
hi there, i think is not the ex shirt, i´ve seen a lot of dessigns like that. here you have one looklike: rlv.zcache.com/gun_trumpet_tee_shirt-r0653ee65249b49bea077350b949bc6b6_jg4de_324.jpg The guitar player´s name is Andy Moor, sometimes called and better find him like "Andy Moor Ex" Greetings
@pedroaragn> I'm moving towards a state of shock, repeats again of what's allready been said, the same mistakes keep hitting us like booby-trap blanks, we still learn nothing, living in tinseltown. My apartment's on the umpteenth block, some neighbours don't tread me so bad, one used to live in a life-size tank, he thinks it's sad that this wall fell down.
Outside they're selling pieces of rock, well - i want nothing of of its daily threat, loads of that scrap in the local bank, easy targets for our wasteful clowns. But hey, one day i'm gonna find this precious frog, might be my princess, maybe her name is fred, those tupid clouds will fade to reveal my thanks, this state of shock is a merry-go-round

It's been scientifically proven that listening to The Ex will eventually make you a better person. Fact.
That's what I thought 👍

CHICAGO loves THE EX forever!
Never heard anything like 'em - a band that actually gets better and better as time goes on
You spoke my mind!
Jazzy colaborations makes their very best :D
@@kibic12 The more unlikely their collaborations look on paper, the more awesome they end up being.
time goes by indeed.. since 1979 ^-...
This video deserves so much more than a simple “like”. This is quite possibly the single best thing on RUclips. Goddamn
one of the most interesting and fun bands playing live,, and keeping punk and world music alive since 1979!

Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh! So wonderful!
This Rules! Thanks dMc Films.
Outstanding concert film. Love the version of "Hidegan" at 37:37, followed by "State of Shock", another oldie from their first album with Tom Cora.
Bloody marvellous :)

Absolutely amazing performance. Bravo!
shamanic !!! thx for this post !!!
Fantastic gig! Loved it!
43 mins, I saw them play this one at ATP this weekend. They were absolutely outstanding, best band of the festival.
Saw The Ex playing with Fugazi in 98..only band that came close to upstaging Fugazi live the times I saw them.
Brilliant horns arrangements added to that rocky EX sound.
WOW, epic membership!
THIS IS THE BEST THING THAT EVER HAPPENED WITHOUT SOC!
Goes unbelievably hard
What a fucking great band !!!

Hi, can you post the setlist for this show?
Siciliano (Manu Chao) on trumpet!
that's "Hidegen Fujnak a Szelek"
does he using a Fender VI strings bass?
no bass, it's a baryton guitar
@@sergerapenne7635 it´s a modifed Jaguar guitar, E and A stings was changed for a bass strings. I think. he changes the guitar in the 6:30 minute.
what is the song from 37:40
Is it a Fender bass VI 15.35?
Simon TONY no, I think it's just a jaguar.. the bass IV is a bit taller and has 3 pickups
but it's far from a regular jaguar though
