They aren't actually glued on, they are preasure formed on. The soles is injected into a mold/last as a liquid and bonds into the fabric of the leather. So there is no adhesive layer to fail
Have you ordered the same size like your Redback boots? I would like to order the same Mongrel boots, currently I'm wearing Redbacks (size 7), and I wonder which size should I get?
Hey mate. I'm a loyal Mongrel boots user and liked your review however you were incorrect about the innersole writing. It does not say NOW leather lining, it says NON leather lining. And you said you were a stickler for details....
I see what you are talking about. I am a stickler for details and that's why I said "now". Now that you point it out, I do think they were trying to say "not". However, that N on the insole was badly printed and it does look like more of a W than an N.
Crikey!…You should always wear a sock in a boot. Hard to get them off when your foot sweats without socks and not really that hygienic. These are not a high end product, but interestingly, I have just bought a pair because the leather won’t crease like my RM Williams boots do. I noted this when someone else was wearing a pair of these Mongrel boots at a conference and I asked him how he found them. I’ve really bought them on a whim to try them out against the RMW’s I have…but..please…wear socks!
Compared to Blundstone these are most definitely high end. Probably aligned with Redbacks which are about the same price. I'm not sure where RM gets its leather but I'd say these guys use Indian hides.
@tomskimcdouglegaming806 not sure what region or pricing you are comparing with, but in Australia, these Mongrel are definitely cheaper than Blundstones. Comparable models: Blundstone 062: AU$215 Mongrel 805070: AU$189 Mongrel 816030: AU$135
How did they go three years later? Be great to see a review now!

That’s correct.
Nothing more Australian than putting your feet on the table when you are having an interview 🇦🇺
where did you order these from? and how are they holding up? also how do these compare to redbacks blundstones?

@@leventetoth3125 i’m not sure on the sizing to be honest with you. The boots fit a lot different.

@@jdog6200 Its fair if you misread it but it definitely says NON
Definitely ‘non-leather’ lining is what I read when the insole was shown…
Rms aren't glued though
Actually u just said that haha

it looks like it says "NON LEATHER LINING"
its LEATHER LINED AND STITCHED..... the insole is what he [pulled out which is padded and contoured.
Mate, what are you wearing. Are they pyjamas?
Yes sir! They are hockey playing moose pajama bottoms. They are more like lounge around the house pants. Good eye!
