Chops in the Groove Position! Ahh man, one of my favourites! There are countless drummers who are absolutely incredible at this type of thing, take Steve Gadd, Zack Grooves, JP Bouvet, David Garibaldi, you name it!
This lesson is an introduction to adding 32nd Note Chops in Grooves. All 3 Patterns are Linear, and each requires textured and precise drumming to pull off.
Download the PDF and practice each pattern slowly until you're feeling comfortable with it. Then, put on a metronome and practice them at 30 BPM. Build up the tempo by 5 or 10 BPM at a time, until you've got them at your desired tempo! Once you've mastered each pattern individually, try and put them together and see what you come up with.
Any intermediate drummer will be able to get this down, and advanced players will be able to take this lesson to new heights. Linear drumming is one of those clever ways to be able to play fast, because no 2 limbs play at the same time. I can't wait to hear what you do with this and leave a comment if you have any cool orchestrations that you'll try with these!
Have a wicked rest of your day and much love,
    Enjoy the lesson!

Hey man, really dig it! Linear drumming is one of those things I really slept on, so, much appreciated!
Let me be a smartass in return. xD As a videographer, I'm all too familiar with that flickering light. Consumer grade LEDs are the bane of our existence. ^^ If you can set the shutter speed on your camera manually, you could try different speeds, sometimes that's the trick, but I fear you'll have to switch lamps if you wanna get rid of the flickering. Sorry for monologing here. xD
    Anyway, earned a sub! ✌

Haha not a smartass in the slightest, I appreciate the support! Man, that light has been the bane of my existence, lol. I used to have it to the side of the Kit but the flickering drove me nuts so moved it. And then, typically, I decided to start filming here in front of my laptop and of course the flickering has returned 😂 I have mucked with the shutter speed in an attempt to get rid of it, but couldn't make it work without mucking up the video. Anyway, I have a new solution: TURN IT OFF 😂 I'm half way through my next video (where the lamp is off) and I'm actually quite proud of how I've shot that scene. Hopefully it's better. Looking forward to you seeing it and let me know what you think!
