I remember when these cars ran at Westborough speedway man they put on a good show miss the old track lots of fun use to look forward for the weekend work hard all week and then you had so much fun on the weekends here's to the good times 🍺 might be gone but never forget 🏁😎🇺🇸👍🏼
this is great footage i was born in 69 use to go to thompson as a kid i remember the sand bankings i was there the day fred desarro died we ran the street stock 21 scott bauder who has won at thompson
I'm pretty sure I was at this race. I would've been 14 or 15 yrs old. Got my dad to bring me down w a few friends. He was bored stiff but we had a blast.
Most of these cars had straight axle front ends, and it was very common to run a much smaller, in both diameter and width, tire on the LF. That was a handling trick back then, as well as the fact that in the turns, the LF was hardly touching the track to begin with!
