Nearly every video on RUclips is an advertisement. TV has been doing it for decades. I don't understand why some of you are getting so butt hurt over the fact that it's an E-bike. I personally do not have one but they are amazing to ride for a good time. So are dirt bikes. Plus, the title describes old trails and new tech. Guess what, E-bikes are part of that new tech. @gmbn , I love your content. Keep it up.

Wow, you guys are really flogging the AMFlow having had three videos, so far, on EMBN with Mr Jones and now GMBN going full guns with an equally polished video although Neil was sent to an excellent old school trail centre in Wales, Steve took a crew and more drones to sing its praises in Europe. As I have pointed out in the comments on EMBN, a bit of transparency wouldn’t go amiss considering the input put in with AMFlow pre-production never gets mentioned since …….. 🙄
I think that it’s just the case that a company from outside the industry was far more technologically advanced due to them having to concentrate on power and weight in drone design and manufacturing and that you can copy geometry.
Coed y Brenin is amazing. Hopefully they can figure out a way to keep the visitor center open. I rented a turbo levo at the bike shop there last month and had a blast!
Despite the bike being an E bike, it looked great on the trails and the scenery looked fantastic. A bike like that with a rider like Neil at the controls with trails like that, it would naturally result in a great video.

Interesting how is the sizing, the seat tube seems very high up, so may be if someone is between size should consider the smaller one? Is it possible to put in reach adjustment caps? What is the head tube standard?
Bosch systems use plastic gears as well. Also to note they use them only as first stage, where torque is low and weight is key to allow fast reaction time.

I've been riding Coed y Brenin more or less since it opened and I love it (long may it stay open - incidentally the original funding for the centre also came from EU regional funds). Sharing narrow single track with eBikes is annoying. I'm getting on a bit but still pedal myself around. I see guys 20-30 years younger than me on eBikes...why? I guess eBikes are OK if you have a note from your doctor explaining why you need one...
@@timmayers4965 I've found it's not as simple as that, you have a few different sets of people on e-bikes, those that were already riding but can now ride faster and keep up with their fitter mates, those that just want to ride further and it be easier, then you have the new to the sport and getting into trouble some of these are even on illegal bikes, I think it's those that cause the anger with some people. Personally not a single e-bike made yet ticks the boxes I want a bike to be I'm all for them though especially as the previous poster pointed out it means in the future as I age I'll be able to carry on the sport I love for longer.
Those are some beautiful trails. Guess 160/150 is because it's a trail ebike and the extra weight? That was/is considered enduro range travel. Neil, how did running the Maxxis tires feel compared to your usual Vittorias?
We've got a soft spot for Coed-Y-Brenin for sure. We think the 150/160 combined with this bikes geo definitely puts it more in trail bike territory. The Maxxis were good yeah. We don't tend to get a chance to switch out for out other partner brands when we're dealing with a press bike for a branded piece such as this
Emtb’s turn trails you found torturous on an analog into pump track style riding fun and that’s my experience on a trek exe so that thing must be ridiculously fun, I’m not rushing out and buying one though I want to see them in bike shops and what other manufacturers do in response..
Excellent test with appropriate bike and trail info. The bike should I buy an ebike will be my first choice....owing to its lack of weight, the advanced motor/electronics, the way it rides with the Fox items back and front. All in all a great combination of design and function.
37 mins of riding and 64% battery left? This was the 800wh option bike as well. Yeah, sure going all turbo spamming, I guess with 1000wh it draws more power. Technically you could do so for an hour with a 1000wh battery. Just curious as to how much riding time you get if you spend time in the higher assist mode. Wasn't the turbo suppose to give 850wh of effect? So that would mean less than 1 hr on a 800wh battery? I just got an eMtb finally, Orbea Wild with 750wh battery. I'm a 240lb fatass, but still get around 30km going full boost, wonder what fuill assist on bosch cx4 puts out in terms of wattage. Its supposedly 85nm, which is lower compared to Amflows 105/120nm. Also wonder what assist mode you have to be in to get the sweet spot of assist and range for the Amflow bike.
Sounds like some bikers here are still living in an analog world. A bike is a bike, whether it’s downhill, trail, or electric: you’re still pedaling like crazy and ripping it up on the trails! I’ve got an analog 27.5, an electric mullet, a lightweight e-bike for commuting, a gas dirt bike, and a couple street motorcycles. It’s all 2 wheels to me and all for different use cases. The more flexible your mindset is, the more fun you’ll have and he more you’ll be out their riding all year long!

@hughjanus7354 I've updated my 2018 super silent, smooth and powerful 1.3 Brose Levo with a Rohloff manual change hub,170 mm Fox 38's 150mm cranks, 9piont8 steering head slacker kit + fox DPX2 shock. The silence is golden and goodbye derailleurs for me. A brand new spare sealed, updated motor and two 500wh batteries are the go for me.Going backwards with updates gives me what I want until they can come up with something as silent , smooth and reliable. E=mtb² . But is the Amflow E=mtb³ ????
That battery consumption is pretty weak. I have a trail I do regularly. It's 1000m altitude gain with a 9%(Average) Incline, and cca 11km long climb. I weigh 90kg and my ebike is 26kg with the 800Wh battery. In Turbo mode I finish the ride with 40% battery left. So as said the consumption of the Avinox is pretty high or let's say appropriate to the power.
Why there is no any info about the geometry, no info about suspension works. Only about motor and touch screen with app. I don't need all this stuff ') I just want pedal assist to climbing

you know, double tapping the power mode button should switch the buttons to a throttle, so the rider could ride up certain sections uphill without pedaling
@@gmbn maybe just a programable button that delivers a set amount of power for 10-15s without pedaling - repeat if re-pressed. I thought of this when steve was going through this crazy section and I thought he would appreciate not having to pedal for that particular bit.
There's nothing game changing in this bike... e-Mtb must have a gearbox transmission aluminum frame and removable battery, these are the main characteristics that make difference.

Sams bikes and rob rides ebikes amongst others also doing the same, they have all had the bike for some time before the launch I imagine

How are the plastic gears going to hold up over time? Please, revisit the durability of this motor 6 months from now.

250W is nominal. 1000w is peak. Different regulations for each.

you know, double tapping the power mode button should switch the buttons to a throttle, so the rider could ride up certain sections uphill without pedaling
The laws in a lot of countries prevent companies from adding throttles to their eBikes!
@@gmbn maybe just a programable button that delivers a set amount of power for 10-15s without pedaling - repeat if re-pressed. I thought of this when steve was going through this crazy section and I thought he would appreciate not having to pedal for that particular bit.

There's nothing game changing in this bike... e-Mtb must have a gearbox transmission aluminum frame and removable battery, these are the main characteristics that make difference.
