I wish we had this in the US. I saw where there were a couple of Teremok restaurants in New York but the local inspectors were hostile towards them. Unfortunate. Russian and American people get along just fine when we meet one on one. Our governments are the problem.
bubbles are carbonation. Never be ashamed of your English. You sound great and I get a lot of interesting information about Russia from your videos. Thanks for sharing!
Hi Ksenia. I love watching your videos. Thanks for giving me (an American) a peek into a typical fast food restaurant in St. Petersburg. It’s so interesting! The food looks tasty, and now I want to try it! More videos like this please! 😁
Interesting, thank you! Do not worry about your language skills, the more you practice the better you will get. My friend Elena, from Moscow, has been working with me for 5 years and she speaks almost fluent English now, when she began she struggled. She also inspired me to start learning Russian language this year and videos like yours help me to learn and understand Russian culture which helps me to learn to speak Russian faster. Большое спасибо!
From the outside, it looks like an upscale restaurant. I was amazed at that menu with so many offerings. Thank you for showing us this place. It is a much better place than McDonald's.
Your explanations are good. Your use of pictures and written words when you cannot think of the English vocabulary works well. Thank you for showing another part of St. Petersburg.
Ksenia, speaking about bakery.... "Sladkoegka" (means "Sweet tooth", so that your English-speaking audience would understand :) bakery chain is pretty good, have you chanced to try it out ? One spot is very close to the location you made this video at: right near "Mayakovskaya" metro station. To my opinion, it's got a wonderful interior and menu :).

I am from Germany, and I have been to Russia a couple of times. I tried Teremok two years ago, it was the very same place as in the video!! I loved it. I don‘t have much money, but this was the perfect place for me to eat out every day. I especially loved the borshtsh and the blini.
Soda and Kvass is said to be "carbonated," because they have carbon dioxide in them. Teremok is serving what we would call crepes, which are very thin pancakes. Filling them with sweet things is common. It is also common to fill them with chicken, with ham and swiss cheese, or other meats.
Please do not be ashamed of forgetting words- your mastery of English is incredible! As someone who speaks just enough Spanish to get by in a pinch (and that is a language that uses the same Latin alphabet!) I can't imagine the complexity and difficulty of not only learning a new spoken language but also an entire new alphabet so that I am unable to use visual references as a linguistic crutch lol! You rock!
Don’t be ashamed, your English is great! I love watching your videos they are so interesting getting to learn about what life is like in other countries is cool. Also food, learning about new foods is always good!!
