If you travel to Larne on the ferry and turn right along the coast, you will miss CarrickFergus as it’s further south. Stock up in Larne at Asda & Lidl before you head north along the coast, the next large town along that route is Coleraine. There are plenty of villages along the way for ice creams and emergency items. Along the North Antrim coast mobile phone signal is notoriously poor, but many pub, hotel’s, restaurants and shops have public WiFi. Check out the Glens of Antrim, Cushendall and Cushendun along the coast. The Forrest park and waterfall at Glenarrif are fantastic. Ballycastle is worth a stop for Morton’s Chipshop, stunning beach and Marconi memorial. No matter what you do, you’re in for a treat. Happy trails!
Ireland is great, just use your sat nav on lorry mode, as some narrows roads out there, it’s cheap and plenty of park ups with no issues, campsites was expensive, locals are great in small villages and will look after you also
I'm currently watching JP and sammie in Ireland and they are having a wonderful time. The Slaws had a wonderful time travelling the WAW too. I have a feeling you guys are gonna have a brilliant time👍 at the end of the day, it's what you do that makes it good ❤
Northerners on tour are finding problems for clickbait. Urban vanlife are there and there getting on good. You can park in lots of supermarkets. Stay off the L roads they are too narrow usually end up on someone ones farm. Get to the r roads or motorhomes. Pitch up sites is an online site it's good , I think if you keep to aldi tescos you be fine supervalu is another good supermarket. I was off on my motor home this weekend went to Waterford great park ups and enjoy yourselves. Most of the van lifers get on great it's very mild and the weather has cleared up this weekend. People are friendly and people will help if you ask for advice.
Just go and enjoy yourselves and if you have problems you can return. Yes Lisa and Mark have had problems But it looks stunning. All you can do is make your own fun, the Irish people are lovely. Enjoy yourselves.

We have done 2 month-long trips to Ireland (predominantly Southern Ireland) and could easily have spent another 2 months there to even see a fraction of the places available. The only problem we had was finding a campsite (as we travel pre-Easter). As you say viewing others feedback on park-ups is the common-sense way of doing things. We are in a camper so a little smaller. The roads can be similar to what you find in Wales, Cornwall, Scotland etc. Just need to keep speed down in some places. Our top tips - many of the harbours have taps where you can top up at and make use of the recycling centres to get rid of your rubbish on a regular basis for a few euros. Hope you enjoy the trip and fall in love with the country as we have.

You will absolutely love it. Stay outside of the big cities and travel in. The people are so welcoming you will have a fabulous time. It’s an amazing place , have lived there ( am English) 19 yrs and still have not seen all the beautiful places there are to visit. The beaches are stunning the scenery is incredible. Just enjoy it for yourselves not other people 🚛👍
Plenty of free places, example,waterways ireland have parking with toilet and showers. There's a few overnight parking for 10 euro with toilets and water and waste. Ireland is safe, i wouldn't worry about it 😉. Looking forward to you're post about Ireland, you won't be disappointed. Chicken rolls from deli shop or petrol stations is a Irish staple and spice bag from a Chinese takeaway restaurant is a must 😋

I think you will find the narrow roads, on the west coast particularly, a problem because of the size of your motor home. I also think you will have a blast enjoying the cultural differences and Zach will love the history.

If you get down to the south coast around Cork, there is a lovely little town called Cobh. There's a park up for 10 euros a night. Cobh was the last port of call for the Titanic, lots of interesting things to see. Also lots of street entertaining entertainment, especially if there's a cruiseliner in. Enjoy, Ireland is a beautiful country.
You seem prepared for times ahead in Ireland and welcome here. Check campsites as a lot over here shut in September, there are Aires about ! Check out the irish waterways card as they have parking with water and some have power points. Warren

Getaway Geese did a nice series in Ireland. Prices, food wise, Lidl and Aldi for the basics. Almost every filling station has a hot deli counter, will do you a breakfast etc and lunch, if you're in a hurry or can't be bothered cooking. Diesel about 1.72 Euro/litre, probably not much difference with UK Sterling price. We are scarce on rubbish bins, as Council's tend not to provide big bins for public rubbish. You'll be grand, if you need anything just ask somebody, we're fairly friendly! Riots? One localised location in Dublin, and a few in Belfast.

Coming from the UK you will find ROI more expensive ( about 8% on average). This is because wages are higher. But if you shop wisely, it's fine. Just to note ROI is called Ireland or ROI, not Southern Ireland, southern Ireland is the south of Ireland - Cork, Kerry, Waterford. You will find the weather along the east coast very similar to northern England. The west coast as it faces out to the atlantic ocean is wetter, windier and very changeable. Rain doesn't usually last all day so you can try to plan your activities according to the weather forecast and have a good raincoat! RTE weather is usually reliable for Ireland. September usually brings nice weather to Ireland but this year so far has been dreadful so I'm not sure.
We used to go to StAlbans Christmas market when we lived down South, mainly German stall`s at the time but I`m` not sure if it`s` still going, I`ve actually unsubscribed from Northeners on tour mainly due to the bitching about how hard things are in Ireland, I dont need Vlogs that bring me down I have work for that!

That’s what I love about you. You aren’t influenced by others and you do your own thing. The only thing I will say is the roads can be very narrow, but then again you encounter that at home too. I am excited you are going. I love Ireland.
