  • SpaceX Tested Ship 26 On NEW Flame Trench but What Happened After? IFT 4 License Approve
Starship 26 performed the first-ever ship static fire on the new water-cooled flame trench at Massey's test site. Was it successful? The latest reports from there indicate that it was successful, but SpaceX has yet to comment on this.
Starting with the preparations for Flight 4, the Cameron County website shows that tomorrow's road closure has been revoked, but possible closure dates are scheduled for June 6th and 7th. It is likely that the launch will occur on June 6th, with June 7th serving as a backup date in case of any unforeseen circumstances. A Notice to Mariners (NOTMAR) has been issued for possible closures on June 6th or 7th, 2024, from 7:00 am to 11:00 am.
As for updates from SpaceX or Elon Musk, SpaceX mentioned a June 6th launch three days ago, pending regulatory approval. On June 1st, Elon Musk shared that Starship Flight 4, which includes many improvements, is aiming to launch on Thursday. The main goal of this mission is to penetrate deeper into the atmosphere during reentry, ideally through maximum heating. Yesterday, he announced that the Starship is ready to fly.
Regarding the FAA Starship license, Christian Davenport reported that the FAA is ready to issue the IFT 4 launch license to SpaceX very soon, unless SpaceX makes any last-minute changes to the flight plan.

When landing booster in water at correct depth ,the water would be similar to landing on moon, couldn’t you just land on sea bed?

If Booster 11 has successful splashdown, is it recoverable, or need to be torpedoed to sink?

My guess is that it will be recovered (it should float for quite awhile if landing intact) but not reflown. Starships are being iterated as fast as they can be built and are all but obsolete the day they are flown.
But I have no connection to SpaceX so take it for the uneducated guess that it is.

Crew dragon is flying missions. It has taken crews to the ISS about 8 times. I believe once a space craft gains a human rating they don’t change to design.

I wouldn’t fly on anything Boeing built the AA doesn’t give NASA a hard time like they do Elon Musk. They need to send that thing up there without anybody on it just to make sure it works just like they did Elon. I pray for the souls that get on that ship .

If there's that many "ifs" be prepared for anything, and move those fuel tanks away from the OLM before they decide to move themselves. You've been warned.
