- Hidden Gems: In this series, I'm going to show you pieces of equipment that I think are unsung heroes of the gear world. To qualify for Hidden Gems, the gear needs to be readily available on sites like eBay or Reverb, have a used market value of $100 or less and of course...it has to sound great!
Forget the pedal: that blues line on your Strat was awesome ! !
Great video, and talented player! Thanks for a fine video showing these pedals
Thanx for using different guitars with different styles of sound! Nisssssssce...
Man, this guy can seriously play!! Great sounds mate!
i absolutely love this pedal. I kind of use it as an always on. For a strat i use gain at 9 o clock, level and tone almost to the fullest and control the gain with the volume knob on my guitar. very low when its rythm and full volume for leads. the isf knob gives me more body to the sound at 5o clock. if i'm playing with a band there's no need for that much body so i can roll it down to the left wich gives me a lighter sound. with a humbucker guitar i can really play metal with the gain knob starting at 2 o clock to 3 oclock. past that there's not much gain difference. and again, i always combine it with my guitar volume knob
Ive had one for a long, great pedal and fantastic value.
Sounds great. You're a great player, dude.
Thanks man, I really appreciate that.
This pedal is so underrated. It is truly amazing and I love it.....
Great review man! The sound of that strat tho, amazing!!
Damn Lucas. You are a guitar monster , some hot licks son.
Thanks!
Good sounding pedal, great playing. Well done !
You made the classic mistake of using too much gain when playing AC/DC! Just bustin' your chops, lol. You're a great player! And I love the hidden gems idea! Keep 'em coming!
Please continue with this videos!
Holy crap
Ironically, I have literally just acquired a bunch of pedals to continue this series :P
Please continue with the hidden gems series. We need more reviews like these!!!
Hey Forrest Gump! Nice pedal, nice playing, great review!

I hope you dig it! Thanks for watching and the sub!
@@LucasFowler you are welcome an i an looking forward to getting it
5:29 Looks like a great Metal distortion, what amp do you use on this?
Great Video, Lovely Tee! Cheers from Rio de Janeiro
Thanks!
great video you need more promotion for you site.
Thanks!
Amazing sound of the distorsión
Cool guitarist
Your my new favorite . Thx for doing what you do.
im between this pedal vs mxr custom 78 vs boss MD-2, any thoughts?
I don't speak English Genial video y excelente analisis y tema
Is that the Oblivion symbol on your PRS? 🤘
By The Nine it is!
I allay shy away from this pedal because I already have the Blackstar ID260 2X12 combo amp and was thinking it would sound like the distortion already on the amp. But for the price, I'm thinking I might give it a try and just see if pushes the amp over the top a little more?
Great guitar pedal !
great video, Lucas! I have the Blackstar HT Dual. I use it more as a preamp than I do for distortion It would be interesting to see a side by side comparison of the two pedals. What are you using to film these videos. The quality is good.
The camera I use is a Canon SL2. A big part of the look is the lights that I have off screen though :P
If I come across one of those HT Duals I'll definitely shoot them out! Thanks!
Great stuff! Been meaning to ask, any new Intertwyned stuff on the horizon?
Also, I commented before finishing the video but you nailed that Peace of Mind tone!
@Lucas Fowler. Great pedal. One question, can I run an auto wah with that distortion running? Thanks for a great video, you already answered one of my questions about a good distortion pedal.
Yes! I would suggest you run the guitar into the auto wah first, then into the distortion. That should give you the best results.
@@LucasFowler that was fast. I've been playing both Live Versions of Ramble On & Kashmir. Now I can not read music, so I either have to depend on a lesson, or like for these two songs, I've had to watch the video's over & over to catch the important chords then I can generally figure out how to play the fills. Although Jimmy played his wah wah pedal, I could see him step on a pedal & walk away playing a wah wah, so getting an auto is what I need. Is there one you'd suggest? Or can they be one of the older used ones like you demo'd in your two pedal videos that run under $100. Thanks Lucas for your help.
Actually I'll have a demo of a very cool, inexpensive Auto-Wah up shortly, here is the link to the pedal I'm talking about. It works very well! www.thomann.de/gb/harley_benton_custom_line_aw_5_auto_wah.htm?partner_id=72056
I have this pedal, is a very good amp distorsion pedal but the british side is too much bassey and not very useful. Also tried boosted with a tube screamer and have very good results!! To be said is a little bit noisy!!! Good pedal for the price beats up most distortion in his price range and more expensive ones
Great review! I am looking for a drive/dist pedal for my Stomp HX.
Hi do you still have this pedal? I bought it long time ago, I realized if I roll down the LEVEL below 3 o'clock the sound is significantly low which is totally unusable. more than 3 o'clock LEVEL makes it usable. is yours the same? I use 50W Boss Katana amp
Wow i was looking for a new pedal to play You shook me all night long from AC⚡DC... you litterally just played it in this video. Someone else did too but used Blackstar Boost effect pedal (blue) and its better for that song to be honest.
Help, I also got a lt distortion pedal from blackstar but it doesn't work. I got myself two cables and it still doesn't work.
Can this peda be based in the boss adaptive distortion?
Great !!!
Buying thanks
Boss DS-2 or this Blackstar LT Dist?
In my opinion, Blackstar all day long.
What pickups are in your Les Paul?
Those are Planet Tone pickups. A Full Throttle in the bridge and a 78' Pasadena in the neck. My favorite pickups to date!
Where tf you getting that for $30
A very useful device.
I don't like distortion. I do like this pedal. What the h*ll?
Its a very amp-like distortion pedal in my opinion.
30 dollars? Cheapest i found was 80 bucks -_-
Be patient, they pop up used for around $30-$40 and they're worth it IMO.
I was gonna say the same thing...
Worst pedal ever made...
I don't know but ur pedal tone are fake it's scam guys..
This pedal it's sucks😓🤬😣
Great playing horrible-sounding pedal, so so at best. 2each his own. Love your channel tho!
