100%. And the exterior designs were basically adding a twist to the existing 2000s modernism, not over complicated bullshit. These days they all ran out of ideas so they keep getting lines and cuts, even fake grills to fill the quota.. Sad times indeed

They go for fairly cheap nowadays (the 2011’s at least) Mines got 80k miles and still only valued at like 35,000 USD. You can get your average brand new semi nice starter cars for that these days
@@mrdukedabeast711If you're looking at getting one, run the VIN through a decoder to see if the engine number is before or after they revised the faulty cylinder head bolts. Also I think fuel injectors getting stuck open is a somewhat common issue. Look for a clean example that has been taken care of and you will probably be ok.
back when mercedes was actually a mercedes with elegant and timeless design, contrast to today's mercedes that looks the same across the range and looks overly sporty
Loved the old 6.2 AMGs, a real V8 engine that breathes nicely and pulls progressively up to redline. Not the generic fart can sounding, heat-soaking, peaky, twin turbo crap like now. Mercedes lost it's classic character and road presence, heading severely downhill trying to copy BMW after this generation, in my opinion.
@@cocoshenel Well, that depends... I don't use it on racetracks, and i haven't had to replace the brake discs yet. (for an oil change it's around 9 Liters instead of the 6L in most smaller Mercedes engines. Tires are expensive. i wouldn't call 9mpg efficient.😂 i have one and if you really try to drive like a grandpa then you might squeeze 11mpg out of it
I think best cars are at beginning of the 2010's

NOTHING BETTER THAN THE 6.2 M156 V8 HANDBUILT from AMG ❤❤
this era's mercs are something else!
Oh I miss the NA Merc V8 so much. The 6.2 was such a brutal and visceral sounding engine without being obnoxious.
It is a 6.2L youcef. There are no turbos on this engine.

It’s the maintenance that’ll get you though.
@gregg7233 How mutch did you pay for maintenance I know for AMG cars it's expensive but how expensive is the maintenance for M156 and M157?
Sound much better than 2021
The last and best before A.M.G. became a Style option. Also the best looking. 👍🏻🏴
