This guy’s epic Vegas stays are legit legendary.
Thanks. Just trying to make each stay and video better than the last...
@@Coolist I've just binged like 10 of your videos man you're awesome keep it up!
My boy grinding with these videos you growing a nice fan base bro keep going. Been here since 400 subs
Truth. Kenny is an OG
You are correct in that the pool should have been twice as big. That said, Treasure Island's appeal is to the Forgotten Visitor - those more middle class visitors who want a decent room at a decent price, a casual casino with a wide selection of games (slot and table) and casual dining like Gilleys and Seafood Shack. The property is generous with room comps and Mystere is still a great show.
Thanks for the great reports!
Thanks David - great take.
Ok boujee
I stayed at the treasure island in October 2020 I agree with everything you said it’s a hotel for older people on vacation only it’s good but boring
I always enjoy your videos. Thanks for sharing your wonderful experience with us! 😀
Love your takes and content, I watched at least 20 of your vegas videos... awesome work..keep it up !!
Thank you MM
Thank you for the video review. My wife and I will be at TI on Wednesday for a week. We understand the check in line can be a problem and the normal rooms are dated but we are excited either way.
Super helpful insight. I've booked based on your recommendations. Thank you
Keep killing it James!
I like TI as a home base because of the location. I always get comped and haven't paid in almost a decade. The pool is small but pre-covid they had a fun atmosphere with a cool dj. As far a dining I always bounce around the strip. Like you said TI is good for budget minded guests. A lot of times I was able to bounce from TI to Venetian or Wynn properties by combining comp offers. TI comps also offer no resort fees... nothing beats a final receipt totalling $0 from them.
TI for free is very compelling. Why wouldn't you?
@@Coolist I stay there at least two to three times a year. Always get 3 nights suite comped with $300 free play. As long as you always utilize players clubs you get the best deals...unfortunately in my experience the best usually offer the worst comps.
Any tips for getting comps for first timers? Or do you need to build up rapport first?
@@chrischan3199 Get a players card first and use it. After your first visit you'll get offers within a few months.
I agree, just stayed there over the Thanksgiving holiday on a comp/promotion. It is on the strip, good placement and the more expensive rooms are fine. There is a direct tram to the Mirage and I like having the CVS, I don't swim in public pools, and I like to have my funds to gamble. I love his reference of Mirage "lite" I agree. I have plenty of high end dining options at the other hotels.
Great review! I remember back in the early 2000s when they re-branded to TI, it was a popular hotspot for the party crowd. The pool was much more exciting back then. It definitely has become the value hotel on that end of Strip. The slots and drink service were always good to me when I was there recently. I hear that Mystere is a great Cirque show there as well.
It's probably the best show
You really kept it 💯 thanks bro 😎
Literally stayed at Encore last month because of all your reviews. Spot on. Problem is now I want to go back and try somewhere new…not sure anywhere will compare. Even the security there was at a top notch level.
You'll like my next hotel 😎
Stratosphere go on at least 1 ride on the 105th floor
I'm literally on earth right now
I’ve stayed three times. They comp pretty good. It is a fantastic location. Dated? Yeah, a little. But that doesn’t bother me. Agree, the pool is nothing to write home about but it didn’t bother me either. The sun is out all day like he said. Gilleys at night can be fun. Watching people get up and do karaoke on their large stage is pretty hilarious. CVS connected to it is worth everything. Great review.
Thanks Rick
Nice room, love the two baths
Great review Mr James ! I am adding the Seafood Shack to my to do list . I have strolled through TI a few times and had drinks at Senor Frogs 🐸 and agree it is an underrated property. I wish they had kept the pirate show they used to have . I never got a chance to see it but it looked like a good time . Thanks for your awesome work in this one 😎😎😎
Anthony!!' What's up man!? I never got a chance to see the pirate show either and now that it's gone I really wish I would've.
I don't know about senor frogs man... was it fun?
@@Coolist On the weekends it’s pretty lively in Senor Frogs . Not sure about during the week . They have decent margaritas.
Appreciate your honest reviews. Park MGM only gave one towel on our second day at their pool this summer. I also thought “WTF?”
If you are in your twenties and are just going to Vegas with friends to party and are on a budget then I would definitely consider giving hotels like Treasure Island, Flamingo, Bally's, Harrah's, Linq and Tropicana a look. They are all centrally located mid strip or mid south/north strip, and affordable.
They are all solid and nice but unspectacular. Especially if you are mostly going to be off galavanting around Vegas then save the money on the room and keep an extra $200-$400 to gamble and party with. Rooms and Casino/Hotels all look the same when you are drunk at 3am and sharing a room between 3 friends. Trust me as a frequent Vegas Traveler.
Save the Bellagio or Wynn trip for when you are older and have the means or looking to impress a significant other.
Haha the best comet already, i think same!
Treasure island is the best 👌
My wife and I love ti. It's just the right size. Doesn't overwhelm with its size, and its location is perfect. Seafood shack is awesome and I like the pool area, it's pretty chill. Don't win much there but I'll take the tram to the mirage to do that.
Good synopsis.
Coolist thanks bro. Love you're work. Keep it up
Been waiting for your next video bro. Doing 21 nights 6 hotels in 12months for my most spectacular vegas wedding!!!!
7 not 6!!!!
In order will be:
Delano
Luxor (stay here before)
Marriot Grand Vacation
Bellagio (stayed here before)
Palazzo
Golden Nugget (stayed here before)
Mirage.
Start training now...
TI is great, reasonable room rates, every room has a fridge, 24-hour CVS plus take the escalator up near CVS and there's a giant high-end mall north across the bridge.
You would love Sahara Las Vegas I know it! . Great videos. I love Vegas. Especially the cool 90s boom built hotels lol
I've never been to TI either, but when you said you heard it was one of the best pools in Vegas, I couldn't wait to see it. As soon as you showed the pool, I was hoping you were gonna say it sucks too XD
Cool place! 👍
The guest room entertainment is terrific. The ITV menu is very unique and very soon they will introduce casting
I absolutely love your videos and reviews...I live vicariously thru you my friend lol you're the coolest 😎...I'll be at the Ballys for New Years Eve...I learned a lot about Ballys from your review...btw I'm not trying to be nosey but how do you afford these things 🙃...is this your only job bcuz if it is I'm soooo jealous 😅
Excellent video! New subscriber here. I think this is where we are going to go and the biggest point was CVS connected to it so that we feel safer going down there to get some supplies. No other video had mentioned that. Thank you for this professional video. Regarding the swimming pool, when you filmed it, it was practically empty so I don’t know how much bigger you would like it. We do not plan to use the swimming pool, but for one hour or two it looks fine. The important thing is cleanliness. They are certainly cheap with the towels. Good to know.
Was there last month, I'll be happy to return.....
TI is definitely a bargain, family-friendly place. The pool is good enough for the kids, plenty of fast food places nearby, CVS on-site and the Mirage, Fashion Show Mall and Venetian shops offer family-favored attractions. Thanks for sharing your experience with Seafood Shack, I would definitely go there. I’m still sad they took out the nice deli TI had previously.
Funny that a steakhouse named after hotel owner Phil Ruffin sucks so badly. He owns both TI and Circus Circus. That steak looked awful, very disappointing.
Looking forward to catching up on your latest adventures!
Yet, THE Steakhouse at Circus-Circus is outstanding!
Hi , I have been to TI quite a few times but I loved the pool on Saturday’s . It goes a bit crazy . Having said that it was pre Covid . Could you tell me what days you stayed there . I travel to Vegas from Australia.
Thanks . Love your reviews
Great thorough review, thanks!
Thanks DC
TI is absolutely a 'no frills' establishment but as I am always comped there and enjoy the low key atmosphere it is fine with me. Senor Frogs gets absolutely packed out on weekends but I am too elderly to know what it's like inside :). Food in Pho's Coffeeshop is basic but really good and the Johnny Rockets is decent fast food. The basic rooms could do with being refurbished but you could say that about a lot of Strip properties. It is the cheapest place to stay at that end of the strip and a good base for exploring unless you are physically impaired and want to get to Mandalay Bay or something.
I know its probably not your bag, but the Avengers Station at TI is a very cool exhibit. Great for kids and kids at heart. Can't wait for the next property tour.
It was wildly popular.
My first trip ever to Vegas was in 1995 and I stayed at Treasure Island, besides the pirate show not running anymore it doesn't seem like it changed much, it's definitely not a high-end place that's more family-oriented. Other trips to Vegas I have dropped by for Senor Frogs, and that's about it.
I really appreciate your review of TI. Normally I stay at the more expensive places across the street. During the time of the year when the pools are either closed or limited, those don't make as much sense. Venetian, Palazzo, and Wynn charge for both parking and resort fee even when pools are closed. The TI no resort fee deal looks like a good value. You can always just walk across the pedestrian bridge to dine and shop more luxuriously if that's what you're after.
Ways stay at TREASURE ISLAND, Alwas receive free rooms, 2 nights, sometimes 3. Get 200 to 300 in free game play, like the free valet parking, location is excellent, place is nice, rooms are fine, ive never in all the years ive been going ever had a room thst wasn't clean. The vibe there is good, and dinner at Gilleys is always fun and very good. I also enjoy the old Hilton, CIRCUS CIRCUS, the Tropicana, WYNN, and the FLAMINGO, which has a fun vibe. Will be at TI next month for my birthday!
Great video my friend. I'm planning on going to treasure island in May with my wife, do you recommend to rent a car or no.?
Thanks for the great video, I am really enjoying all your reviews! Someone also told me the TI pool was nice!! So glad I did not book it after seeing this review, I would have been very disappointed!
Just goes to show that you need to be carful who you listen to.
Can you tell me if the pool has a hot tub/jacuzzi? I'm told it does but didn't see it in the video. I'm guessing it's so small and hidden? I've never actually stayed at TI, but have at Venetian, and Venetian has to be my current fave.
awesome video….. just in my opinion a constructive criticism…. just like in the description you layout the videos for other hotels… if you put the name down of the restaurants i think your viewers would love it…… i remember having to go through like 5 of your videos to finally find bavettes (which i went for my birthday this last week) and GREATLY appreciate the recommendation
Great video. EPIC TRUTH I AM
It's probably just me but would have been dope to play an acoustic version of "State of Massachusetts" with the opening. Kinda fits the pirate theme the hotel originally had.
I’m going to be staying there next week for a few days by myself as well. First trip to vegas. Probably won’t remember it! 😅😂🤣
I used to like the arcade in the 90’s at ti.
I like your videos. I like your energy. I like that you're not here with a goofy schtick like a lot of people on YT. Just a regular dude with honest opinions. Subscribed!
I stayed at TI a few years back. Clean, comfortable room with a fantastic view of the Strip. I also enjoyed the Seafood Shack. I had a really nice meal there. Lovely spot! I would play poker at Venetian across the street, so TI was a great spot. I miss the pirate shows, though. And the cowgirl BJ dealers.
You need to go back to Gilleys post-pandemic on a thurs-sat night. Sooooo fun, the music is great and I’m sure you’d have a great time even if you aren’t a big country fan. Really friendly crowd, bull-riding competitions (including a bikini one), and overall an super fun night that IMO is better than the club scene
I'm not a big country fan, but I'm a fan of the energy, ambiance, and camaraderie. Same goes for me and Nashville...
If you have a bad meal, do you bring it to the manager's attention and give them a chance to make it right or at least provide some accomodation? This would be helpful information.
I stayed here back on August 1998, May 2006, July 2012, and October 2017
We recognize some music in this video, do you per chance use LumaFusion to edit your videos?? :-P
I keep seeing comments about the comps at TI. I feel like I need to visit.
Apparently they are quite easy to get.
20 dollar trick works every time!
They do have Penthouse Suites, which are their very best.
if these hotel woud have the pool of the mirage it woud be a hit
Anything on the casino or sportsbook?
What’s the song at 6:57
How much was the room
I mos def would use both bathrooms
I sure did!
CVS is clutch
The best experience being honest I like it at night. Only thing I’d warn you about are the timeshare merchants. Don’t tell them you’re not from the area, they SHAMELESSLY lie about local attraction pricing to coax you into buying a package.
So wait, how did you reheat your Gilley's food?
reheat? 😎
How on earth do you eat and drink that much all the time? are you like 6'4 and work out every AM?
I've stayed at Treasure 5 times. Always loved my experiences but the last time we saw either ketchup or bloodstain on the carpet, the wall, and the ceiling, big enough to right away when you come in. We contacted the front desk 3 times and, and even go directly to the front desk to inform them. They kept saying they will send someone to clean, but 3 days, nada. After that, never going back
The rooms are so cheap that there isn't any Margin to cover cleaning extracurricular costs like that. Clearly They'd rather lose a customer than lose $200.
That room would be the cost of breakfast, lunch, dinner and gamble for a day..
good vid. spend a little more on your microphone tho
Room looks cool but yeah that pool looks depressing haha. You should do a Resorts World review.
RW will happen, eventually. The property isn't fully operational yet..
Stayed at TI twice in the last year. Theres definitely better hotels, more conveniently located that are cheaper. Basic rooms are outdated & in need of general maintenance.
Ain’t nothing wrong with a specialty cocktail brother
Like your reviews, but bro I got to correct you, it's not pronounced jilley's ...it's guh..Gilley's. Mickey Gilley a famous country singer from the seventies, that's his restaurant. It's okay though you young guys get em wrong sometimes. Keep the reviews coming.
I think the only thing that the treasure island hotel has for it is its conveniences
How do you go on a 22 vacation in vegas. That is the real story lol
Price, price . . . NO PRICE ! 💀
He’s cute as F
Hi . Think I'd give T.I a miss not impressed at all looks dated and I wasn't blown away with the the room .if I was to stay there it would be in a cheaper room so I can only imagine what that would be like .and last of all if the best thing about it is that it as a C.V.S it's a BIG NO from me . Keep up the good work 👏
No trumps hotel yet?
If you come across any swanky barbershops could you do a hot shave video? Might be out of your realm or not your style but it could lead to a really cool video.
I've actually thought about doing some barbershop videos. I just need to think about how I'd film it because of the ones I've seen, they all had a camera man.
Bro fix the dam mike muffffffls
Maybe you should talk about no sulfates fast hair growth shampoo.
