Josefa and Agapito are saving for change

Savings for Change (SfC) is part of Oxfam's Hakbi'it program in Timor-Leste, which uses a savings group methodology designed to strengthen women's empowerment by increasing their financial assets, resilience, participation, and confidence.
Through the Hakbi'it program, Oxfam is working with local partner Kdadalak Sulimutuk Institute (KSI) to tackle the economic inequalities faced by many women and their families in Timor-Leste, particularly women living in rural areas.
Oxfam acknowledges the support of the Australian Government through the Australian NGO Cooperation Program (ANCP).
