Michael puts so much emotion into that song even when he holding a mike he does what none of others seem to do is raise his arm he really is the best Marius he back in Les Miserables now he jokes he's not Marus❤️❤️
Beautiful song Michael is absolutely wonderful. He is perfect in every way, his voice is magical & his performances are superb.. I wish I could listen him sing.
For all the Michael ball haters out there... Michael is amazing and a baby voice like nicks cannot handle this song. Im not saying he's bad and Yes he was good in the 25 anniversary, but compare his version to michael's in the 10th anniversary and there's no competition... oh btw to show that im not some stupid nick jonas hater i LOVED nick Jonas's acting in smash!
This is just amazing. I love that song. And the singing. It is beautiful. But I also like the Nick-Jonas-version. His voice is so calm.. Probably this is how it has to be, but since I've never seen the whole musical and Nick Jonas' version was the first one I listened to, I like that, too.
he's a bit big for a Marius, lol, jk. his voice is amazing, full of emotions. just listening brings tears to my eyes. whoever sings this and brings tears to my eyes are the best in my opinion.
In this version when he sings: "the very words that they HAD sung" he does the HAD a whole step up from the 10th anniversary concert edition. Is it written in the music as he sang it here, or as he sang it in the 10th anniversary concert?
@ThePotsy70 well he does his melodramatic overacting because he feels what he sings trust me wenn you feel the song your singing you sing it so so much better thats how i feel my music teacher feels my singing teacher feel i dont think he does it on purpose :D
He obviously sings it beautifully, but in all honesty I think he lacks a bit of emotion for that part. I can't really feel the sadness that is supposed to be in this part. But his voice range is just awesome !
Yes this is excellent. .. however I think eddies version in the film may be even better. For me eddies had another dimension to it. An extra emotional edge over this. Micheal may have the better voice..but he doent PERFORM the song like eddie
walkernick86 Well this is a concert and Eddie sang it part of a filmed production of Les Mis while in character. Watch Michael’s performance at the 10th anniversary concert, when he is actually in character as Marius,
@Mollichina1000 Except that he really isn't. He's incredibly whiny and nasal and can't hold a note to save his life. He also sings with his nose instead of from his diaphragm. I respect him, because all people deserve respect, but he's NOT a good singer.
The BEST! 🎶😭
Michael Ball owns this song!
he owns it
Best version I have ever heard. Ball is the best Marius, Ball is the best !
linda tsai p
hes still got it.
Heard them all but Michael Ball nails them all the time
Michael Ball is Marius! It cannot be anybody else!!!!
Michael Ball is my happy place :)
Michael puts so much emotion into that song even when he holding a mike he does what none of others seem to do is raise his arm he really is the best Marius he back in Les Miserables now he jokes he's not Marus❤️❤️
Best Best Best Version!! It sends chills down my spine and gives me goosebumps everytime I listen to this version.
Beautiful song Michael is absolutely wonderful. He is perfect in every way, his voice is magical & his performances are superb.. I wish I could listen him sing.
He has the most awesome voice!!
How could I not be outraged hearing Jonas singing this after I first head Michael sang it? Don't blame me.
Love the song and especially when Michael Ball sings it
Michael Ball is amazing!
Wow, I wish I could see him sing this live. Its beyond words his talent.
i went to see him in liverpool a few weeks ago and he sung this song, oh my when you hear it live its something else, what talent
It's Eddie Redmayne who introduced me to this song but Michael Ball is the OG Marius in Les Miserables and will always be the best Marius ever. 😊
Oh Michael! You're support technique is f**king brilliant! "Oh my friends, my friends, don't ask me" at 2:06 was breathtaking
Michael Ball will always be my Marius. I will always compare others to him...
@2seconds2long i agree completely!! Absolutely breathtaking.
he may be no longer marius, but marius is still him
i dont watch it, just listen to it and it really touches me...:'
The best Marius ever. No, he IS Marius.
When is her concert in Miami Florida you have beautiful voice Michael i love you 💕🥰💕🥰💕🥰💕🥰💕🥰💕🥰💕
For me still the best version on this song!
Best version I have ever heard. Ball is the best Marius just like Lea Solonga is the Best Eponine (Samantha Barks close 2nd).
For all the Michael ball haters out there... Michael is amazing and a baby voice like nicks cannot handle this song. i love his singing he is imperssive!
even better then the 10th anniversary
@holalalandpalmer Have you watched the 10th anniversary version that Michael did? He put forth a lot of emotion.
🤗🤗🤗💙
wow!!!!
his shirt fricking sparkles.
Definitely by far the best marius . Definitely beat the Jonas brother in the 25th Anniversary. What were they thinking ?
Listen to Ramen Karimloo …not only does he have a beautiful voice but he is ever so pleasant to look at
Never liked Michael Ball that much, but these performances from Les Mis have completely changed my opinion! What an idiot I was!!
wunderschön
Amazing!

Don't you fret Monsieur Marius
Linda música. Lindo espetáculo.
He was Marius not Valjean
Is this the same show where he sings ABBA's "The Winner Takes It All"?
Marius at it's best ^.^
마이클 볼 최고 !!!
One dislike: Nick Jonas.
Also, I love the emotion nick puts in it. Like he's actually hurt and torn. in Michael's voice, it seems happy?
eddie Redmayne is good in the film but some of the others let the film down (like hugh jackmans voice.) But yes Michael Ball is by far the best Marius
love this.. Love Michael Ball as Marius. Must say that the current Marius, Craig Mather is an equal to this.. Like if you agree!!
the qwner must be the best winner!!
Easily the best Marius. Although Eddie Redmayne was surprisingly good.
Nick Jonas version is nice. But this is wayyy better!!
VINCE SHAW. BRING HIM HOME. PLEASE WATCH.
EPIC with capital E
Still better than Nick Jonas...
nick jonas should continue with his vocal lessons.. he is an alright singer but definitely needs more practice for broadway/west end
*to
@ThePotsy70 well he does his melodramatic overacting because he feels what he sings trust me wenn you feel the song your singing you sing it so so much better thats how i feel my music teacher feels my singing teacher feel i dont think he does it on purpose :D
4 people just don't have ears
I like this a lot, but I honestly like nick jonas's, he's amazing, especially for his age. you guys have to keep his age in mind.
Jackman is technically a good singer but his voice didn't seem to have any "richness" and it sounded really strained.
He obviously sings it beautifully, but in all honesty I think he lacks a bit of emotion for that part. I can't really feel the sadness that is supposed to be in this part. But his voice range is just awesome !
I realize a lot of people like this version, and it's certainly one of the better versions, but too me it just sounds too fast and celebratory.
Legonater this is a concert, go watch his actual show performance for the tenth anniversary
I find Mario Frangoulis' version more engaging and nicer to hear...
Yes this is excellent. .. however I think eddies version in the film may be even better. For me eddies had another dimension to it. An extra emotional edge over this. Micheal may have the better voice..but he doent PERFORM the song like eddie

This. He's a good singer for parts that are in his range (his performance in Oklahoma), but he was wrong for Valjean. He sounded like a sheep
@Mollichina1000 Except that he really isn't. He's incredibly whiny and nasal and can't hold a note to save his life. He also sings with his nose instead of from his diaphragm. I respect him, because all people deserve respect, but he's NOT a good singer.
