Yup, 8 years is about right. Shot my first wedding (my sister's) in 2007 and my last around 2015. Flash photography is so fun. Really opens up the possibilities!
hey man, i follow heaps of photographers on youtube. Most of them have way way more followers than you, but your videos are just as good, if not better. Keep up the good work and the recognition will come. Peace xx
Hi there! Awesome video! I just got into flash photography and am now trying some stuff with the x100vi. I noticed that the TTL is pretty slow - the delay between the first metering flash and the photo itself is about half a sec... is that normal? When using my external flash on my Sony, you don't even notice the first flash because the second one is nearly instantaneous..
Nice video. My favorite flash by far for small cameras like the GR II and X100v has to be the Flash Q, Q20ii. Super small footprint. Worth checking out.
Great video my dude. I got the silver and black x100v and thinking of coping the LightPix Labs FlashQ Q20II for some flash photography. From what I’ve seen it’s super light weight.
Process on my brother ❤️ It can be difficult sharing your work on video when you know if you were given the time you could do better. Taking pics on cam is hard!!! I appreciate your channel and especially relate to the positive vibes you throw down.
I understand the Amazon associates thing but also consider a used canon or Nikon speed lite for $45. Been banging them at least 12 years on all brands of cameras and they’re trusty and reliable.
Kinda curious about the built in flash, I’ve seen other peoples videos where they got a similar overexposed fill flash Polaroid type look from it, but maybe a dedicated flash is better for lower light settings where the built in one doesn’t have enough power
Whew! Pretty rough tech talk. Not good terminology. Not sure you really know how this all works. Maybe investigate the inverse square law and learn exactly what is going on re: flash to subject distance, and background distance. Also you use the word focus when you mean the lit subject. Not the same as focus.
So y’all flash photography lovers or what?! Lemme know 👇👇👇

Definitely love this harsh flash effect on portraits and it's something that I've been trying to improve for a while now. Thanks for sharing!

Used is a great way to go!
Where did you get the wireless connector to connect the Newer NW625 to the X100V?
It was an older connector that I borrowed. Let me see if I can track it down :)
is the x100v built in flash is not enough?

I've played around with it a bit but def am thinking about another video just focused on perfecting the built in flash.
... There is a next time ? Hahahaha just joking, thanks for sharing
