    Unfortunately with the premoves, it's hard to see what actually happens in the last few moves of the game. Even the end position is tough to make out because that big "You Won!" square instantly obscures much of the board. Then in the postgame review we see how Stockfish would have done it, not the way it was actually played.

    1:19:55 Nelson, this is by far not the first time you blunder because you're overfocused on attacking.
    2:00:56 I didn't like g6 in that position. But if so (your bishop was in trouble), then at least put your black bishop on the long diagonal - that would have definitely prevented the loss of the game the way it ended. Your mind is only on attacking, not enough on defending. g6 severely weakened your dark squares around the king. According to your own tips in almost all your videos it was necessary to defend these black squares because of the white "black" bishop.

    After observing your play style for almost a year now, I’m here to say I think the reason you’re struggling to improve your rating is your play style.
    You spend a lot of time calculating sacrifices instead of just playing the solid move. I know you can do it. I’ve seen you beat cheaters. The way you play when you know someone is cheating is the right approach to take with every game. I believe you will climb if you take this approach

  • @williamsquires3070
    @williamsquires3070 Месяц назад

    (@2:49:33) I’d try 1 … c5. If white captures en-passant, 2 dxc5 Rxd1+, 3 Nxd1 (or 3 Bxd1) Rxc6 and you have two rooks on white’s e-pawn. If instead white pushes past with 2 d6 Raxd6 lining up your rooks on the d-file, and attacking the e-pawn. Even if white trades, 3 Rxd6 Rxd6 doesn’t change anything; you still have control of the d-file and the e-pawn can’t really advance due to your knight on g6. If white plays 2 b4 you can pin it with Rb6. You could also try 1 … Ne7, blocking the e-pawn and controlling the d6 square with your two rooks and the c-pawn., but then white can just play 2 c5 themselves. 😢

    13:25 you have this game won. Qe3 white cant trade queens because you get protected passed pawn on the recapture. He will have to keep his king and rook guarding them. You then push the 2vs 1 on the queenside to victory. If he doesnt trade queens his rook is badly out of position and you can push the d pawn to victory.

    Hello Nelson,
    Could you please tell me how some players manage to achieve an Elo rating over 2000 just a couple of months after creating their account? I've come across some whose profiles I've checked, and I'm sure they are cheaters. Faustino Oro only gained 4 points at the Ibero-American Championship and defeated players like the three-time Spanish champion, who even cried during the game due to frustration with Faustino's play. How is it possible that so many non-professional players reach such a high Elo in just a few weeks or months?

      Yes I also want to ask this

    • @eminem5521
      @eminem5521 Месяц назад

      they are good players and start with the rating of 1200 or 1600 I don't remember. And if you want to increase your ELO fast, you have to play the tournaments instead of 1vs1. Because in tournament format, you meet players higher rated than you and gain like 10+ elo per match if you manage to win, but if you lose you don't lose much elo because you're lower rated than them

    • @nugsnothugs
      @nugsnothugs Месяц назад +1

      Chess rating gains and losses take sample size into account. The more games you've played, the higher chance they have a pretty accurate idea of your rating
      If you've only played 10 games or 20 games and you beat a high rated player you'll gain a massive amount of Elo in comparison, because the rating system is still trying to figure out where exactly you fit
