    Sitting here, moved to tears, when I see this beautiful girl, a razor-sharp, flying dart, once commissioned in our National People's Army shortly before I were born, then upgraded over and over. I spent my childhood with these beauties and started my first pilot training myself at the age of 14 in 1984. It should only last 6 more years before all came to an end and most of our remained MiGs were scrapped as if they were shit or ended up in a museum. I was happy to still see her flying here and there. Farewell, 21! :(
    Thanks for the upload.
    Oh, and awesome air-to-air shots!

    Mig 21 seems to be more friendly to the environment than 29 😂

      +HerrRiebmann Because the Mig 21 has only one engine, compared to the two engines of the Mig 29's.

    MiG.21 is a spectacular flying beast which is capable for any type of Ariel missions, though this vintage era technology has been retired from all of the world but it is still in the service for few third world countries like India dragging this vintage era flying coffin with various added bastardization in to original Fishbeds technology, the latest of it they have converted the MiGs engine on cheap hybrid fuel technology (Aviation fuel & Kerosene oil) Indo air force is now flying Fishbeds more on locally produced Kerosene Oil just for the saving of God damn money but at the cost of their airmen' s lives...

    Next time, please, don't use the stabilization of picture by YT - it's actually damaging the video... which definitely is cool. Very very cool indeed.

    • @FlightVideoPhoto
      @FlightVideoPhoto  8 лет назад +1

      +19Koty96 I agree with you. I used the software stabilization some times but people don't appreciate it, the original video is better. In any case now I have a 3-axix digital camera stibilezer to shot stable air-to-air videos. During this flight in Bulgaria I used a mechanical stabilizer who did a good job but not perfect. I have to publish at least two other videos from that flight... stay tuned and thanks for you suggestion!

      Flight Video & Photo Sounds great :) But I've heard that 21's are retired as of now in the comments below, is that really true? :(

    • @FlightVideoPhoto
      @FlightVideoPhoto  8 лет назад

      +19Koty96 Yes, Bulgarian Air Force retired its MiG-21. They made their last flight last december. What I read is that the MiG-21 are now stored in case it will be necessary to use them again in futura, but they are officially retaired.At the moment combat aircrafrs of Bulgarin Air Force are only MiG-29 and Su-25.

    Nice video. MiG-21 looks a little bit ugly, compared to MiG-19, which is a real bad ass looking airplane. MiG-15 were the first non propeller fighters in mass usage. I think this is one of the many reasons why communists won The Vietnam War.

    • @ioan_1Fl
      @ioan_1Fl 2 года назад +1

      No. Vietnam War was won by the Vietnamese because of lack of training. They got thousands of jets (americans) but can't afford to train the pilots. One or two trainings before combat. The Vietnamese infact had decent training. The mig 19 is a good aircraft but it's nothing compared to the 21. The 21 has better load out and more ammo than the 19. There are many 15's and 21's I've seen and they are beast of planes. I have gotten into a mig 21 and with permission I can get inside a 15. The 21 has better missiles and also has better radar. The 21 is also more maneuverable and faster rather than the heavy girl 19
