Survival situation is an abstract myth for consumers. Knowledge is the most important. Improve skills and don’t make cult out of items.
Items are good, but ultimately useless if you don’t know how to use them.
Knowledge... and a good fixed blade knife. Matches / BIC lighter are a huge bonus.
@@gorana.37 tools are essential, one should use proper tools and be prepared. With knowledge and wider thinking anything can become a tool.
The channel's name should ring you a bell. Get over it.
Couldn’t have said it better myself, surprised they haven’t made a purse for them yet lol
$1K for a watch?! I could make entire sets of basic survival stuff for the entire family and have $ left over for that kind of money.
$1k for a watch upsets you? Bud then dont look up prices of Omega Rolex Breightling ect. They start at $5k
$1k pocket knives isnt that strange any more as well. And what about flashlights for $500….
@@duartduplessis1046that's not survival but consumerism
1000 dollar watch but no toiletpaper.
@@duartduplessis1046 you definitely a snob
Ah yes. Ill need this for… walking to my car after work.
If that's all you do, that's on you. 😊
Yep I’m the same. But I’ve still got it just in case 🤷🏻♂️😂😊
@@Vartan297 Lol same. I already own that jacket!
Exactly lol
Yeah - and then shit happens and you don't REACH your car.
Very good indeed. There are a few gear and equipment on here that I should consider using when going on my next outdoors journey. Thank you very much for those considerations. I love to go hiking most weekends with my buddies, if it's possible. With how often we do it, wellies are always essential. 👍
😂 This is funny. I was just thinking how hard done by I was when I did my SERE course and I wasn’t handed anything other than a small compass and a bit of a map.
Loved it, add quite a few items to my list for my next outdoors trip.
After watching "The Last of Us" series that made bought the Waxed Trucker Jacket. Glad to know its included here on your list.
I’ll have to make do with my generic beige cotton Carhartt jacket with the cord collar; I love it though.
Instead of a Luminox Bear Grylls Survival 45mm ($995), which is extremely expensive for what it is, you can have some Casio ProTrek for 3-4 times less with as much features...
You can actually find that watch for about 450. Which is a great price for what they put into it. I had rather have it than the 350.00 mudmaster
I would choose the Citizen Bn0150 for $200. Solar powered and 200m. Will last 10-15yrs. w/o. battery. The watch is a tank.
I would go with an Instinct 2x solar. more features f.e. gps
Good list
Thanks for your efforts Hicon , some tricky ideas there for sure
"If it worked in a fictional tv show it must be good!"
Great video
I would add fixed blade full tang, ace bandage, TP, reduce the fishing kit to braided line and hooks. Also food (most people can’t fish), tinder, a couple of bic lighters, more 550 cord, rain fly or Mylar, and water purification tablets. As pointed out, water being the most important. All the best.
I liked this. And Extreme Ratio is awesome! Great video man.
Luminox sux man. Carbinox material. Fancy plastic. Get a gshock. Will be around for far longer.
absolutely this
G shock is nice but the plastic straps are total junk. You can add strap adapters but its still wonky.
If all items ordered day vid cam out $2219 + tax .
🤣
You would be better with an Army surplus parka, a survival knife, and a good lighter, better than some of this stuff. Yes, and a good tarp and parachute cord would help also!
As far as regular survival gear, yup. As far as EDC-compatible survival gear, not sure if a surplus parka and tarp would really lend themselves to EDC
An army parka Rambo ?
Levi Strauss is bigtime anti-2a
Loved the video
Constructive analysis: the audio is kind of weird when you pronounce the s or sh
Great video by the way
Not bad, gear spool for duct tape a good idea and I like the jacket. Bear Grylls watch is a waste of money.
That watch Is a swiss luminox, they are worth every dime regardless of who's name is on it.
@@jaydubya7012 If you have one and like it then that’s what matters. But.. This BG watch is $1100 round our way. There’s plenty of G-Shock and Pro-Trek models that are easier to read, more robust and have compasses or barometers built in. And are cheaper. For around that price you’d get a Marathon GSAR or a Seiko Tuna. Luminox aren’t bad but there’s much better watches at that price. Even a Victorinox I.N.O.X - and the list goes on.
Ah yes, I need all these gadgets incase I get lost in the city.
City boys will be the first the get eaten by the buzzards. They can survive.

Я с Украины) смотрю ваше видео потому что оно актуально в наше время. Спасибо большое за ваш труд
a solar powered watch would beat all odds that a quartz or mechanical watch would face and crash.
And be sure to have your phone to call an Uber.
70$ for a flashlight BROOOOOOOOOOO
whole video just a big add
You don't poop?
I live how all the haters poo poo on this video yet they rook the time to watch it then criticize it. I think its great, simple and quality stuff. Not walmart crap. As for the rest of you, lets see your video. Post the link.
I'm sorry a 1000 dollar watch ?
1000 watch isn’t much in the watch world.
hahaha it is mate... tbh new watch... I'd be looking at Tudor BB as a minimum lol
@@johnnysilverhand1733
@@Vartan297 because people in "the watch world" are basically morons
That is an awesome watch, it's about 450 at some places
I bet they put this together preciselly because of the Last of Us. 😅
2217$ lol...
Lol what a dreamer the gimps that make this sort of shit probably never been out of town 😂 #fondler
Yeah , sure, but not really.
Not sure you can consider a waxed jacked as “technology” 😂
It's tech. Try walking out in the woods and creating the entire jacket and buttons from scratch. It's extraordinarily difficult and tool & time intensive. A fur or leather coat would be a lot easier.
they're all jealous
Nothing lifestraw…. You’ll stuck your cheeks inward before your thirst subsides. Also, that carabiner: I tried starting a fire under controlled conditions….& tried…. &! Tried. :(
A good carpenter…
Just no to the jacket. No cotton. Fleece maybe but that jacket is a waste of money and will keep you cold once it even slightly is able to get wet. Most of this stuff is gimmicky trash
Waxed canvas is fire and abrasion resistant. Everything else will get burned or shredded. Only other equivalent is leather.
@@christineleung9587 Who cares if you're soaked. Cotton doesn't dry fast and it loses that wax coating then its not so good. I'll stick to my poison plastic chemical clothes that actually keep you warm... And wool.
Butane? Please!🙄
Your name fits well as you are just a consumer.
a whatch??? really )?
I feel like I’m just watching an advertisement.
Basically what the entire channel is...
I think an AI wrote this after punching in specs for the items. That watch is a joke. That knife is a fast pass to blister-ville.
This whole video is an uninformed cash-grab.
where are your guns man be prepared for the zombie apocalypse
