Excellent series. Very hyped and skeptical of this $5k e-moto. I’m certain they are running this motor at 8-12kw baseline. The qs273 can take much much much more abuse than other motors because of the amount of current and heat dissipation it can endure. There are also a variety of motor windings that affect the gearing, typically 3.5T or 5T. Also with Flux Weakening, you can push the motor faster than the stated max rpm of the motor, simply by being inefficient with current usage. I imagine they are going with very high current, low turn (for higher speeds) and Flux Weakening to get their specs. 0-60 in 6 should be fine at 400amps and a light rider
Just leaving a comment to show some love. I bought into the hype before seeing your videos, made my payment a week or so before thanksgiving 2021. Thanks for all the info, all four videos. Hope you named your plant Stimulatous

it's time you got a prototype. I pre-ordered the EU version from Germany on the US website. I hope someday something will come to me that works and complies with German laws.
I ordered a while back, hoping for a late September delivery (my B-day). The tech and batteries are there! The motor could easily be up graded by the time it hits the production model. They have already upgraded the seat, charger and added passenger foot pegs. Why would they do that if they have no intent to deliver. I am a little skeptical about a cast aluminum frame though. Cast aluminum is great for weight savings but tends to fatigue if not reinforced properly. I would have preferred a mid drive over a hub motor due to un-sprung weight issues but not being a dirt bike or performance bike it should be acceptable for what it is. I am going to use it for a commuter and I have some pretty decent grades to climb so I will definitely share my results with the community. I have been shopping pretty hard the past few months to source parts for a build and this deal is pretty hard to beat if the support and development are solid. Best wishes everyone. And good luck to all of us that bought in to the hype!
I agree with you, no way to know which alloy flavor the frame will actually be. The swing arm looks very chunky, but over time, will it endure ? Same for the steering head tube... But take heart, many bikes built with today's modern mfg process far surpass what was once said to be built of "un-obtainium". Compare to the bikes in the 90's. Honda, Buell, Suzuki, put out "space-frame" bikes. Then the Italian trelis became all the rage... Every bike becomes trapped in amber, based on the tech of the time when it was built. The metacycle will be no different. But by virtue of it's modular design, if something breaks, more easy to repair/replace. (assuming you can get the replacement parts). I echo your sentiment. Good luck to us all, and, it is what it is, eyes up, rubber side down. GL

Glad you enjoyed, thanks for the feedback! Sprocket ratios would affect a bike with a mid drive or non hub motor, but because this bike has a hub motor, the gear ratio is fixed or denoted as 1:1 vs. a bike like the Zero which has an electric motor connected to the rear wheel via sprocket and chain.
The F77 performance specs dont jive with its looks and design IMHO. I like the 2-3 swap-able batteries and more advanced brain vrs the metacycle. Dont like the 45mph claimed top speed and unknown if it will even be available in the US during 2022 ... The price point is in the ball park tho' ...

Another detail is the motor power cable, shown routed behind the swingarm, vrs hanging underneath. This was one of the first things I did'nt like about the press bike. Did'nt want to nit pick, but now i'm very happy to see the cable tucked away where it wont easily snag on anything.
Please do a review on the xion cyber X next
I've already got the test ride footage of riding the CyberX Prototype. I just need to package it with a video about the company and bike. Will work on it this week
You're making me want to ask for a refund 🤦♂️
Just want you guys to know what you're essentially betting your money on. I hope it helps.
DIY guy got a garage built motorcycle with QS 8kw hub motor over 65mph a year ago..... So there's hope
Loved the simulation @trowan ! How much can sprocket ratios affect these factors? Also have you considered covering the Ultraviolet F77? It's supposed to compare more to the Metacycle than the Damon Hypersport in price.
I hadn't heard of the F77, will definitely check it out!
I'm going to get the second run so hopefully all the flaws will be gone
The flaws may not be gone by then, but at least you'll have more info and less un-certainty. Plus, 2022 will see more choices come to market as covid eases and global supply chains straighten out.
Does a rough estimate of 200 mpg jive with the specs of the 7,x Kwh batt capacity ?
Great video. Ordered mine the day I got the email saying I was eligible to. Definitely expecting it to be different from the prototype. But as long as it has a better top speed than my Onyx, and a similar level of a durability/reliability, I'll be happy. Do you mind linking to where you saw the pics/info on the upgraded charger and foot pegs and what not?
Found the info for anyone else who might be interested: electrek.co/2021/05/07/exclusive-sondors-metacycle-electric-motorcycle-updates-better-seat-passenger-footpegs/
@Brett LaGrange Are you trying to get me divorced?? Two was hard enough to justify ("We can ride them together, honey!"). Three would be a stretch :)
@@MrJunk78 Just tell her the 3rd one is so you both can go riding with your girlfriend LOL!
the sondorsx.com website has new content showing the charger and other goodies.
@Brett LaGrange I agree, there's an abundance of waiting time until the big box arrives. Yet, I remain uncharacteristically optimistic that it will show up in late September.
great looking bike, just a shame that it doesn’t look like you can take a pillion rider on it!
They offer pillion foot peg accessory. But, yes, it looks more suitable for solo rider.
Your plant is named Stimpy.
I'm on payment number 3, I'm guessing it will be delivered around Christmas
I hope that you get it before Christmas, but I guess Christmas would be better than next year.
You may want to review your partial.ly contract. I sorta recall that it must be paid in full (including freight) before anything ships. I have the 7 payment schedule. 5 done, 2 remaining. Guessing Oct...
@@garylinnert1574 Hey do you have any updates regarding this? I put down the deposit but have yet to hear from Sondors about payment options. Are they sending you any sort of updates?
@@aashilr only auto-mail from the payment app. I suspect next month there will be a flurry of emails about shipping and delivery... Contact Sondors directly if you are worried about your order status
I ordered a Sondors Mad Mod and I’m wondering is it possible to do a video about it ? Thank you sir, respeq!
I can look into doing this, sure. Thanks!
My metacycle is #777 so hopefully that will bring me luck and get it here asap
Chromakey needs work. Try Davinci Resolve. It's free. Add a backlight. Have a look at any "3 point lighting" video.
Your plants name is Patty now, you are welcome.
Nice bike unfortunately it will require a license, not customisable, and can't tour with it...guess I'll be getting the traditional gas bike plus my fur boy gonna love it.
Oh no, you chose plant as foreground to green screen. My condolences
Edit: also I'm mod on r/metacycle. If interested I'd add you as mod since you're knowledgeable
R.I.P. plant 🪴 it died a digital death 💀
Just got my refund. Getting a used Zero. Goodluck guys
Great video thanks. The problem is;Will there be any Metacycle? Sondors was ment to make also an electrical car.It was same history.Do you know of any?I don't.So.....untill we see some on the streets ...

Plant :rootbound ! needs a bigger Pot . Wonder how much a bike would cost to put all the Metacycle's power plant on something like a $400 stealth bomber frame . Still Meta is a great deal and should change pricing in the industry imho
I think you would end up with something very much like a hot rod Delfast 😊
Plant's name is Carlos.
Name the plant Mr. Green
As someone that wants to use this as more of a scooter 🛵 what is the realistic range if used between 25-45 ??
rewatched it I missed the test parameters
Jeff aka JEB the plant :D
I just need it to go 55 or so for 20mi round trip
I'm in the same ballpark, if it'll do that I'm golden.
I'm in here like Jerry curl juice
Lmao we talking 1980s Rick James jheri curls or 1990s Ice Cube?
@@trowantechworks sleeping with the cap on to keep them curls tight juice. Cube's curls started to get a little lax over time 😆.
I wanted to buy one, But 5K is just to much for me to gamble with right now. I'm hoping it turns out to be a good, So I can get one later on.
All first delivery reservation holders received confirmation for the Q3 delivery yesterday. It's happening.
Caution don't pay 5k in advance.
Once in a while I’ll look to put my girl on this thing with me. I’ll to see a video of that.
Have you seen how mad the community is about the madmod?
Your plant will never be momo
Seymour?
And what about "The Guy" ??? No news from him/her... 😥
I would cal your plant = "The Hyper-Super-Mega-Meta-growing's One" :p
Could you link us to your Python scrip ??? (Loved it)
Any News???
I see, honies, have gained some weight throughout the Decades 😂

Name the plant Jeffrey 🤣🤣
Robert Plant…of course
Name the plant Seymour.

I just want something more reliable than my venom Belmont bike.
EDIT:
I came across this Sonders video recently....
and this does NOT look good:
ruclips.net/video/hLB2ew5c7bU/видео.html
I agree that Sonders is over hyping up this bike. Im a big fan of the design, however I seen enough electric bikes and their stats AND their prices, without being a physics major... to see they are probably making promises that aren't accurate.. I hope Im wrong because it would be awesome to find a decently priced, stylish electric commuter bike that doesnt break the bank. Chinese sourced parts typically underdeliver. Great video... liked and subscribed.
Gd video but now I'm more convinced the xion bike doesnt exist or is a piece of shit so I'm cancelling my pre order
I've got a video coming about Xion. I test rode the prototype in San Diego a few weeks ago. They exist
@@trowantechworks my bad gd to hear just there is a real shortage of information about it and you're review is pretty much the only one out there. Waiting patiently
If yer Gal ain't Petite,don't ask her weight,or you'll be Ridin' & Sleepin',,Solo 😂😆
Meta plant
Marge
Name it Hilbert
So, in short...Metacycle WILL suck 🤔
I think Metacycle should do something about the laws of physics. The controller has gyro sensors to reliably detect curves by analyzing the rotation rate. Here's a fine example speed testing on the highway. ruclips.net/video/P1k5E_tEHNQ/видео.html
