Just got a new computer and was looking for video on how load Inkscape on it. I ran across several videos and WOW, yours was by far the best and easiest to follow. Thank you, Thank you, Thank you!!!! I'm a subscriber.
I have an older Inkscape installed on my computer that I use, and love and need to learn more. But my question is, do I need to uninstall the older version first and if so will I lose and designs I have saved in Inkscape. Love your videos. Please make more.
Great question - no once you save your images (like an SVG file or a JPEG file), they are saved on your computer until you delete them. Uninstalling Inkscape won't delete stuff that you made with Inkscape. Hope that helps, thank you for the feedback!
Will start to use Inscape today, great video. Have a question, maybe the answer its obvious, sorry for that: for POD images, i can use any fonts, type of letters, that came for default in this and others similar softwares? or its necesary to cheek somewhere if the font/letter type is in Public Domain? I know i can use Dafont for free fonts, but dont know about permission of the default type of letters in the softwares. Thanks Zen
No it's not obvious at all, it is a really great question (and it's complicated). A font is a piece of software, so you are really just buying a license to use the font. So if you are using Inkscape, it will just detect the fonts on your computer. (Same as Word or PowerPoint for example). So I always try to use free commercial fonts or buy the font from a site like Creative Fabrica (because their fonts are all good for commercial use).
You want here: inkscape.org/release/1.1/windows/ For 32 or 64 bit: click Windows Start button and type "system". You want to look for "system type" (it will either be 32 or 64 bit). Hope that helps!
I have the latest version of Inkscape installed on my computer and the computer I use at work has an old version of Inkscape installed. If I have a SVG file from Inkscape 1.2 version, can I open and edit it on Inkscape 0.91 version? Thank you very much for your help.
@@craftystax Thank you for your reply. I am a new user for Inkscape. I find this software is interesting and useful. Need time to sit down and learn. Thank you very much again.
@@craftystax Thanks for your reply. Can you make video on this whole how to record, edit(noise removal etc). Also this will increase your channel viewers too because beginners demand such videos.
I am definitely not an expert with Chromebook - this might help? chromeunboxed.com/install-inkscape-latest-version-chromebook-chrome-os-linux-crostini-how-to/

Yes you absolutely can separate out the colors - I have a little video in the works to show this!
Thank you so much for sharing this software tool and making the process very easy to follow even for a novice like myself.

You should be able to! An SVG file is pretty standard and can typically be edited by any vector software tool.

Tell me how you voice over the videos, how you record voice over.
I use a Blue Yeti microphone and record the screen... and that's pretty much it.
