By the way Cuba did at one point did have it but when they weren't allowed the metal in their country this is what they happens.

    You know, growing up in America, I was always taught that Fidel was a horrific terrorist and that Cubans hated him and were basically prisoners on their own island. As I got older and went to college, I found out that a lot of what we were taught in grade school wasn't necessarily true. No Columbus was not a good guy, the Native Americans didn't live in harmony with white people and Malcolm X was not a terrible person. I feel like I've gotten a much less biased education from RUclips than from our great American school system and that's a damn shame. Im glad that we have social media now that connects everyone from all over the world, so we can better understand one another. I know Fidel did do terrible things but he is clearly viewed much differently by a large portion of Cuban people than I was originally led to believe. And I'm glad to get the opportunity to finally understand why some people, particularly of the older generation, view him so positively.

      who was in the Caribbean can compare all the islanders are ,shall we say,lazy , in no particular hurry... in Cuba, poverty is not as bad as in other Communist-free countries in the region. From huge pluses: very developed medicine, it is available to all, in all these slums there is a duty doctor of high class. Many Cuban doctors work abroad for foreign currency. High engineering training-the same Cuban engineers in great demand in many countries.We can laugh at their food cards,but in other countries it is not and there really people are hungry. There are no starving people in Cuba. And let's not forget about sanctions: after all, now the US has simply banned all trade with Cuba, only China and Russia are not afraid..in recent years, Cubans live under constant pressure - but do not lose heart: the Communists do not allow people to completely disappear,if such severe sanctions would be in any other island,there would be a long time all rested. And Cubans are the most cheerful and positive people in the world. In addition, there is a complete lack of crime at the domestic level..safe at any time of the day. In Jamaica or Barbados in the evening it is better not to walk

    I have no real idea if a leader or system is better than the one preceding it, or than those elsewhere, but if the leader is not living like a King behind a curtain of secrecy or security then I will have more time to listen to what he says. It seems that he had more integrity than most and that for all the poverty the people seem notably relaxed, thoughtful and positive. In short I see more that makes me smile than makes me sad, but most importantly little to get angry about. I like Cubans and I hope my impression is an accurate one.

    • @FCBanes
      @FCBanes 4 года назад

      The leaders are murderous thugs who have no qualms about getting rid of the slightest opposition, no integrity at all. The people seem relaxed because they are resigned to their fate and spend all their waking hours trying to survive.

    White people of Cuba make the whites of America look saintly, that is the reason that black Cubans see Fidel Castro from a different perspective, before Castro blacks in Cuba were not in the rear of the bus, they were on the outside of the rear of the bus, Castro made it so that they too can ride in the front seat and the whites hated it enough and the exodus commenced, if there is any doubt out there, just take a look at the black population in Miami or the lack of that population, white Cubans will not hire a black Cuban or black anything in their place of business.

What is free healthcare and education worth if you’re imprisoned? If you need surgery in Cuba, YOU must supply everything from sheets to syringes. They rely on money from Cuban Americans who left and send money to family. Look it up.

    Back in power and receiving financial, military and logistical support from the United States government, Batista suspended the 1940 Constitution and revoked most political liberties, including the right to strike. He then aligned with the wealthiest landowners who owned the largest sugar plantations, and presided over a stagnating economy that widened the gap between rich and poor Cubans. Eventually it reached the point where most of the sugar industry was in U.S. hands, and foreigners owned 70% of the arable land. As such, Batista's repressive government then began to systematically profit from the exploitation of Cuba's commercial interests, by negotiating lucrative relationships both with the American Mafia, who controlled the drug, gambling, and prostitution businesses in Havana, and with large U.S.-based multinational companies who were awarded lucrative contracts. To quell the growing discontent amongst the populace-which was subsequently displayed through frequent student riots and demonstrations-Batista established tighter censorship of the media, while also utilizing his Bureau for the Repression of Communist Activities secret police to carry out wide-scale violence, torture and public executions. These murders mounted in 1957, as socialist ideas became more influential. Many people were killed, with estimates ranging from hundreds to about 20,000 people killed.

    Cuba not only had free and open trade with all nations except the US, but received massive foreign aid, especially from Russia which essentially paid Cuba to foment communist agitation in Latin America and Africa. To blame the failure of Cuba on the lack of commerce with the US is absurd. Cuba is poor for the same reason Venezuela is poor. Socialism.

Trade with russia is very difficult because they’d either have to go through American allied water or American allied air space and the American sanctions dont just apply to America as the us have a policy of if you trade with Cuba u cant trade with us and Venezuela is poor because it relied on oil markets which are a staple of capitalist markets so when the oil market collapsed they lost their biggest form of trade so they aren’t poor due to socialism they are poor due to neo imperialism and capitalist markets

    I was in Cuba in 2017 for 5 days and what I saw was Decay. All building improvements , street repair, park repair, business repair stuck in 1950's decaying. Some sections were a total loss, looking like bombed out buildings. But then you saw the spark of People wanting to grow businesses. American's via taxis were taken to small restaurants who charged us 25$ a plate (just like in Miami Upscale Venues) I felt taken advantage of, but business owners explained 70% of any profit they make went up to the Top Government. Socialism is just that, a corrupt way where Power is at the top and all below Suffer. Cubans were afraid to mention anything about the government. If you want to see how Beautiful Cuba once was, just youtube it prior to 1950 and you see such Beautiful Buildings, Well Dressed People, Nice Cars and a Music and Food and happiness. Fidel , Chaves and now Venezuela just show Socialism does not work. I just hope one day Cuba goes Democratic.

    Dear God🙏♥️💕 in heaven, I come to you in the name of Jesus. I acknowledge to You that I am a sinner, and I am sorry for my sins and the life that I have lived; I need your forgiveness.
    I believe that your only begotten Son Jesus Christ shed His precious blood on the cross at Calvary and died for my sins, and I am now willing to turn from my sin.
    You said in the bible that if we confess the Lord our God and believe in our hearts that God raised Jesus from the dead, we shall be saved.
    Right now I confess Jesus as my Lord. With my heart, I believe that God raised Jesus from the dead. This very moment I accept Jesus Christ as my own personal Savior and according to His Word, right now I am saved. Amen.
