@Andrew LeRoy i hope they make a next generation for it, maybe improve a few things, and have a higher refresh rate, maybe a better camera, I'd gladly pay 400 for a higher refresh rate version of this product, the new media tek chips and future ones will support this too

@@NinjaMonkeyPrime Its a great device. The keyboard is the only drawback in my opinion, not the easiest to type on, but useable. Other than that, extremely happy with it. For such a cheap device, its no slouch either.

@@raulmiranda7419 I just got it today and I'm really torn. Seems like a nice device but the ultra small backspace and apostrophe (of all things) is driving me crazy. And as I suspected I'm not used to the simplicity of a clam shell design. I do see why this is a well liked device but it might not be for me.

I gave one of my HP 14" X360s to my husband's granddaughter last month. I always like to have a backup handy and I was so pleased with this particular laptop, I felt that gifting one of them made sense. Now I need another backup, and will settle for nothing less than a 14" 2 in 1 with a touchscreen and a backlit keyboard. I need to take a second look at this video so I can write down the device names I might be interested in, then search previous videos in order to get a look at the product. With prices going down for Black Friday and the holiday season, now is a good time for me to pick up a second laptop. Thanks for the list. It will come in handy.

I bit the bullet and ordered the Samsung Galaxy Chrome Book. It arrives tomorrow. I found it on sale for $849 on Amazon and couldn't pass it up. Battery isn't an issue for me as the only places I use a laptop are right next to 110v outlets. For the balance I can tun off Bluetooth, cut the screen brightness etc. and survive for several hours. With that screen, lightweight build and beautiful looks, I couldn't pass it up.

I have just recently started to use Chromebooks and my Chromebook of choice is the base model Pixelbook Go. This device has been more than able to get me through my everyday workflow and has very nicely satisfied with my personal needs. Before buying my Chromebook, I had been on the fence about them because I wasn't quite sure what you can do with a Chromebook.
I started watching review videos or comment videos like this one and as time has gone on I became more and more interested in them. As I became more interested, I then began to ask myself what do I use the most when working on my desktop, and the conclusion of that thought left me with Chrome. I use Chrome on my desktop to access media, work, and most recently cloud gaming.
Since coming to the realization that I use Chrome the most out of any program on my desktop, I purchased my first Chromebook. Since owning my Chromebook, I absolutely love the device. The Chromebook is fast, quiet, long battery life, and I love, love the typing experience on the Pixelbook Go. I started with the base model, one because of price and I thought that if I tried the base model and found that it didn't meet my needs I could always move up; rather than if I started from the top and found that my needs could not be met, then I would be left with no options in my experiment and also I did not want overspend on an experiment.
The Pixelbook Go has been great at multi-tasking, completing my everyday work on teams, and zoom, and an advantage over the iPad is the price/keyboard/and using Zoom while still using Chrome without freezing my video feed. Also while using the Chromebook, I have found that I do not need a full desktop, I can edit my photos on my iPhone, and offline gaming can be accomplished using my Nintendo Switch.

Just ordered a Lenovo chromebook duet because it's on sale at Best Buy right now, 128GB version for $250! Can't beat that. I had the Samsung Chromebook Pro since it came out (watched your video on it too) and Chrome OS was great but very limited, there were some things that I couldn't do for school but I ended up using it for the 3-4 years I had it. I gave it to my mother and moved back to the Windows World with a Dell XPS 13 9300. It's great to have everything again but I've been wanting a secondary device that supports a pen (for notes) and something bigger to use for media consumption and this definitely stands out over the iPad and Surface Go 2. Thanks for your helpful video on the Duet!

I'm seriously thinking about the Galaxy Chromebook. I'm plugged in nearly all day working, so the battery thing would not be an issue.

It reminds me of an OG Pixelbook with a better display, worse battery life, and a more reliable manufacturer. If you're good with the battery limits, I'd say you wouldn't regret it. I have the Pixelbook and it's amazing.

    • @hsv361
      @hsv361 3 года назад

@@whiskeyshots I wonder if that's why GOOGLE decided not to bring out another Pixlebook - because the Samsung Galaxy is pretty much what that would have been. Would make sense.

Good video. Can you imagine if they redid the samsung galaxy? Same build but with a 1440p 16:10 screen. Snapdragon or exynos chipset. That would fix both battery and heat issues and it could properly use Android apps. There would finally be a compelling and fully functional chromebook

Samsung should do a mid-range Galaxy Chromebook with an Exynos to get the price to $600-650. I bought 2 Chromebooks (Go / Duet) and sold 2 Chromebooks (Thinkpad 13 / Toshiba Chromebook 2 2015) this year.

I've got the Pixelbook and concur. I didn't think I'd like the 3:2 when I bought it and now 16:9 looks so damn small.

Bad news on the Samsung Galaxy Chromebook front. Mine arrived yesterday and I found the screen completely out of calibration. The contrast is a disaster and areas that should just be shaded are pitch black. It is like watching the subject in a spotlight surrounded by blackness. It makes videos and photos, not to mention games, basically unwatchable. I jumped on reddit and found that I wasn't the only one. Apparently Samsung is aware of the issue but no fix yet. Someone made a software overlay that helps tremendously with the contrast but washes out the screen a bit. The screen is the highlight of this machine so you shouldn't have. to suffer a slightly washed out look just to make the viewing tolerable. I returned it today with great sadness. Everything else they say about this machine is true. I was even getting 7 hours of battery. The perfect machine, except for the screen.

Hi! Do you think it's worth a mention that for the Lenovo Duet, since the processor is neither 32 or 64bit (it's designed for tablets, not laptops), some apps like Stadia or Linux Python will not work on that device? Just something to mention so that it does not surprise a buyer like it happened to me.

    • @RuslanSendecky

What's a Linux Python? Linux works perfectly on ARM chip, and everything else that comes with it, including programming languages. I do Go development with Docker on my Duet - no problem at all. Most of my annoyances are due to the lack of ram and nothing to do with the ARM chip

I got the acer chromebook touchscreen 315 32gb 4gb ram , intel n4000 damn this is one bad a$$ first chromebook. The screen is great the speaker's were actually pretty loud , it was better than the acer aspire 5slim speaker's . The keyboard does feel a little cheap but is good enough. The track pad is where it's lacking but I just use a mouse anyway so I don't care. I got this for 220 after taxes and shipping it was 250 .
