Coaching us up on the "stutter step" is something i've ONLY seen from the "Big Dawg" , coach Rolles! This 5 star athelete just made "Hell Week" and had some nice moments thanks to you and these videos! Thank you !!!
Yes Sir!!!!!! That's the kind of news that I love to hear Big Dawg! It motivates me to keep doing what I'm doing! Congratulations and keep working. Don't try to be perfect, but make sure you are always PROGRESSING! Again, Nice Job! And thanks for sharing your results. If you can, keep doing so! 👍🏾🙌🏾👏🏾
Train them up while they are young! If you haven't already, visit our site www.bigdawgfootball.com for weekly pass rush/run game cyber training sessions. We are rolling out a youth football program for our middle school dawgs this week.
Love these vids they even work in pro flag pass rushing, im a natural DB who played SS, but because of my recent weight and strength gain have moved down to DE and weak side LB. I'm naturally a decent rusher because of my initial speed but this bull rush will definitely add some highlights! Thanks!
+Andrew Gonzales What's up Big Dawg Andrew! 4'6-4'7 speed is fast but it's all about the first 2 steps. You have to win that 2 step battle with active and violent hands. With that kind of speed, I would also look into other pass rush moves and counters to the Bull Rush. Thanks for watching and thanks for commenting. What level do you play? Keep me updated Big Dawg! Keep working, 5 Star Style.
Thanks Big Dawg! I appreciate you watching and I'm glad that they are helping you get better. My only motive is to help my defensive players to become the best Defensive player they can be. Thanks again for the comment. Lets go to work!
+Dan Boyle Yes sir Big Dawg Dan! I'm glad these videos are helping. Trust me, I put a lot of work into them so that inspiring DLinemen like yourself have the ability to be great at what they love to do. Keep working until you master. Thanks for watching and thanks for the comment.
What's up Big Dawg! Thank you for your request. I didn't think anyone would have wanted to see the Bull Rush taught but your request was good enough for me to put it together. After making it, several people have messaged me saying that it has been useful and beneficial. So thanks to your request, it has been a success. I hope this helped you in your pursue to be or coach others to be one of the greatest pass rushers of all time! Thanks Big Dawg for your comment and request. Keep working at it until the work is done. LETS GO TO WORK!
+5 Star Linemen and Throwers Academy no problem BIG DAWG! Love the channel really helping me get those sacks but... I don't really know how to deal with a double team any tips?
+Axehead D What's up Big Dawg! The double team video is one of my videos to do. It's very important to know how to deal with double-team because it can come a lot during the game.I will say this double-team take two people if you defeat one there is no more double-team. Keep working!
+5 Star Linemen and Throwers Academy I really appreciate the video, that was my son Nick that sent you that comment. he is nine and this is his first year playing. he wants to get better so he is putting in work. I'm really proud of him. he loves your videos.
+Dan Turner Hey Big Dawg Dan! That is fantastic! 9 years old watching my videos? Ha ha ha! Wow! That is an honor for me as a coach because at 9 years old, he could certainly be watching something else. It is obvious what he wants to be and do. I'm encouraged that I get a chance to be part of that. Tell Little Dawg I said to keep working, little by little and step by step, he will accomplish what he is working hard to accomplish. Thanks for your message. This was very encouraging and inspiring to read. This is why I do what I do. Please keep my updated. Thanks for watching and commenting.
+tony jones Big Dawg Jones coming over to the hunting side. Welcome brother. We'll get you right and ready to go. I'm glad the video are helping. More to come. Stay tuned. Keep us updated with your transition. Keep working to get better every chance you get. Keep your feet moving and your feet firing. Thanks for watching and commenting.
Yes sir.. my son Isa K. Washington class 2018 Brookwood high school Varsity football #54.. NG/C starter..he is ALWAYS LOOKING to get better..check him out. Hudl or his Twitter handle @IsaWashington1 follow him.. he will follow back. I am single parent trying to make surehe gets an education. He Loves EVERYTHING about the game.. Thanks for responding Coach. Wish you had training site here in Georgia.. but for now will keep watching.
+Amanda Washington One of the best gifts a son could ever have is his mother! Hats off to you mom! Especially for reaching on be half of your son. I have family in Georgia. I have and been asked to do traveling sessions where groups get together and we run a 2-3 day workshop during the summer. Or I have athletes travel as far as Florida. Maybe something to think about but I will continue to post videos. I also have blogs/vlogs posting soon that are more detailed in instruction and coaching. I do this to serve those who are looking to be successful. I will take a look at his Hudl. That's what 5 Star Linemen Academy is about. Tell Big Dawg I said, keep working... Man don't work he don't eat. Keep me posted.
+5 Star Linemen and Throwers Academy ..thanks Coach yes sir.. I will most certainly keep that in mind . I am willing to travel, please let me know when and if you come to Georgia.
5 Star Linemen and Throwers Academy I'm 5'9 and im a nose tackle in 335 defense im a fantastic pass rusher at defensive end but my coach wants me to play nose tackle because my toughness and how rough i am but i dont know how to pass rush at nose because of the clutter of lineman at nose tackle i cant do my spin move or seem to get right past the center I'm confused. Any advice.
+Cvvu Vcfub What's up Big Dawg! The fake spin use to be one of my nasty moves for OL who were really good defending the spin move. I can definitely put together a fake spin tutorial. If you do the spin right and at the right time the spin always works but the fake spin would be a nice counter to that. Keep working to be better. Thanks for watching and thanks for your comment.
+Wil Schommer Great question Big Dawg Wil. I do have some tips. First let me say that being a great pass rusher starts with having the right mentality. Your ATTITUDE will determine your ALTITUDE. Great pass rushers are relentless, persistent and passionate. Great pass rushers are not afraid to fail, to them there is no such thing. They don't fail, they FIGURE and they don't lose, they LEARN. They find a way to get there. Being a great pass rusher starts with your attitude. It's in the way you think.
+Wil Schommer I do have 3 things that you should work to master. 1. Stance It starts with your stance. You have to master your stance to maximize power, position and explosion. Work on getting in a right and left hand stance. You have to be balanced. Your stance also sets up your steps. Most of the time, a pass rush move requires a certain stance. If your not in the right stance, most of the time, it makes it difficult to execute the pass rush move. Work to master you stance. 2. Steps Your feet will always take you where you want to go. Your feet work is everything because it delivers unlimited power to move the person in front of you. Not only does it deliver power but your feet directs it. Learn to turn you toe where you want to go on pass rushes. After moves, you have to be able to turn the toe inside and carve corners. Toe to target. Also a good DL gained ground with every step. You can't waste steps. Every step in a pass rush most have a purpose and should get you closer to the QB for the sack. Master pass rusher say that it should take you 5 - 6 steps to get there.
+Wil Schommer 3. Your hands. You can't collect sacks without your hands. Most if not All great pass rushers have aggressive, combative and skilled hands. It is important to understand how and where ( an OL shoulder pads have pressure points)to attack an OL hands and shoulder pads. Have to learn hand to hand combat. Hey to work on 2-1 or 1-1 hand combat skills. Why? Because at 5 Star Linemen Academy we know that 'if you defeat the hands you defeat the man.' Your hands also exude power. You'll never move a linemen without hands on. Hands on means power on. Work your hands....a lot.
+Lorenzo Resendez Big Dawg, I've played against bigger and stronger linemen all the time. This is where I had to learn how to really use good technique. I had to be the stronger linemen with good position , consistent hand placement and great leverage. A linemen can only be stronger than you if you allow him to get hands on you or get in better position. At 5 Star Linemen Academy, we know that if you defeat the hands you defeat the man. You can and you will sit any linemen down. Get off the ball and get the OL moving, shock him with power hands and steps, drive your feet and be ready work off his half for the sack. Every Offensive Linemen has a weakness, you just have to find it and attack. Go get'em Big Dawg! The only person that can stop you is you.
@@FateAiden I’m not fast enough to play DB, nor am I big enough to be a DE, so I’m switching to LB, which is the only position I can get big and strong enough for within a month.
im 5'10, 174lbs in the 8th grade. Football season is over but next year i plan to play d line instead of o line. i bench 225, squat 315, deadlift 335. Should i make the switch?
+Lawanda Holloway Whats up Big Dawg! Though those are very impressive numbers for your age especially, playing Defensive Line is a lot more than how much you can lift. Playing DL has a lot to due with your attitude and mentality. I've coached DL as short as 5'5 that were named MVP and 6'6 athletes that were also nationally recognized as one of the best on the professional level. What made them both great was the size of the fight in the DAWG, and not the size of the DAWG in the fight. If you have a passion to play on the line and you are welling to do what it takes to serve in the trenches, go for it. Whatever you decide to do, do it 110%. Give it all you've got!
Big Dawg, I love questions like this! This is the right question to ask. These are real scenarios that we find ourselves in. I'm actually thinking about doing a video that would answer this question in a little bit more detail. I have been asked this question by hundreds of DLinemen and I'm sure thousands more to come and my answer is going to always vary. There are so many different ways you can look at this and answer. But the first place you have to look to answer this question is WITHIN YOURSELF. What's your best move? What move have you been setting him up with? What move has worked against him so far? By the 4th quarter you should have identified a weakness. What is it? Find your strength and Work his Weakness.
+5 Star Linemen and Throwers Academy Is your speed rush working against him? Is he having problems with your counters? I would even ask... Are you in the red zone, in the middle of the field? Is the ball on the hash, if so are you rushing from the boundary or from the field side? Is the QB under center or shot gun? That is HUGE! Where is the QB? OL take there sets based on QB and Timing of WR routes.
+5 Star Linemen and Throwers Academy Personally, I would probably work a SPEED TO POWER. Why? Because the speed rush allows you to easily transition into any other move. Great question. I hope this helped.
