You can give your child a variety of foods. Give him veg Khichdi with moong dal and rice,chappathis,veg parathas,,curd, milkshakes,Ragi health drink (kanji) I have given the recipe on my channel.

In Karnataka also they prepare Balekai palya but we cut into pieces VC instead of grating

Yes Kartik . That does happen. You can try applying some oil to the sides of the vessel. It might help
