I'll give you an easier method: Go to meet now, start a meeting with yourself and change the status to available. It'll show available as long as the meeting is on.
Where do you go to meet now at?

Not advisable for office laptops. Your employer will know if you run scripts on their machine.
How would they know?

The script works but how to stop it before it reaches the execution time you have given in input?
1) Open Task Manager.
2) In the "Process" tab you should find a process named "Microsoft Windows Based Script Host"... this is probably the process that is executing your VBS Script.
To be sure, or if you have more than one process named "Microsoft Windows Based Script Host", you can do this:
3) In the header bar, right-click on "Name" (the name of the processes), and flag "Command line", so that a new column appear with name "Command line" and shows which is the command line that has started the processes.
4) In this column you should see the path and the name of your Script.
5) Then select the process and kill it.
Or you can simply change your status ....that easy

@@hrahulgupta I do this with a small jar full of coins. Word doc looks like jkfdjkdjklgjfdkljgdfkljdlkjfkl but it does the trick haha. Also I have a separate wireless keyboard i dont use the one on my laptop

I would love to do this but my job has access to my laptop and IT will probably find it.
I did notice that when I had a learning video going from their portal at work, it did not go into sleep mode. Pick a video the length of time you need it and see if it works.
They dont care, or just use your personal PC
Personal accounts will work. But for work accounts the company security will definitely catch it within a few seconds.

yes most corp accounts don't let you run vdb or exe files. they are pretty much locked down
I ran it just fine on my government owned work pc, but your comment freaked me out so I went ahead and deleted the file. Definitely not trying to get a write up etc.
I figured IF they do ask me about it, I will tell them it’s annoying that my screen goes dark after several minutes when I’m calculating figures or writing notes etc. so I tried to find a way to prevent that.

I know a cleaner way, if you don't want a script being run on your machine.
1. Schedule a teams meeting and add yourself to it.
2. Join the meeting.
3. If you want to change your status from "busy" or "in call" to "available", just set it manually at your status.
This way the meeting will keep your machine awake and your status available.

@@syedfardeenali6579 if they go to the lengths of checking exchange then yes. Generally they won't log ticket with IT unless your performance is bad and you're obviously away from your system.

In Unix based systems, just open terminal, type "caffeinate" and press enter.

Just set up appointments in your calander for yourself and call it like “working on whatever” teams will show your status as busy cuz it thinks you are in a meeting.

How to stop the script when not required?? I have changed the time limit to 5 mins...but after doing that this message keeps popping "Forced awake time over, back to normal routine".

Might be legit. Might be a way into your computer too. I wouldn’t trust this unless you know exactly how the script works and know how to check it for doing what it says it would do. Don’t ever download or input unknown scripts onto your machine.
Well if you know anything about VB and read the script you know what its doing, and its pretty simple to read. Its clean.
Yeah, it's so short, you don't need to trust it, you can just verify the code yourself and see that nothing sketchy is written.
Latest new Teams now lets you set yourself as available for how long you like. Eg all week.
