'We're not leaving.' Homeless, Tacoma advocacy group occupy Fife Motel

- Tacoma Housing Now, an advocacy group, has occupied a Fife motel since Christmas Eve after booking 16 rooms for 43 people experiencing homelessness. Fife police are looking to find them shelter, but the motel manager feels he is not being supported.

enoughs enough already. seems to me there is enough people protesting for each person to take someone home with them instead of violating this mans livleyhood.
So they show 3 young men who are more then capable of working, 1 sleeping, the other doing the interview and another playing Candy crush.
Get real folks, send those young men to a temp agency so they can pay for the room.
Yeah let’s defund the police and send hard earned tax payer dollars to kids who like to sleep throughout the day and play on there phones.

The city needs to put these kids to work cleaning up the city or digging ditches. Good food and safe housing in exchange for an honest days work. This is not rocket surgery.
Problem is these folk gotta actually show up to those jobs. There’s plenty of farms in the area too that could use a hand I bet but it’s legit hard work and these kids don’t want to do it. I can respect a certain number of these folks have real impediments to manual labor but there’s plenty of data entry jobs could use them. But all in all they gotta show up they gotta actually want to not be wards of the state.
This is like the red house in Portland. Just ask for subsidy on gender studies and how it affects homeless folks. Congress will give tons of $.
My cousins use to told me to go out have fun. They told me that I am worry to me about saving and working too much and not enjoy life. I am glad that I go my own way:)
Did this group pay the bill at the motel or just expect the motel to foot the bill for housing for them?

That’s a nice scam you got there, Hobos. Would be a shame if somebody burnt down your occupied hotel, now wouldn’t it? Not saying it should be done while people are inside, but.... if that innkeeper got fat insurance check AND served these criminal occupiers their just medicine, I think it would restore some balance to this crazy world.
