Didnt see the exaust pipe for apu, make sure u get it extended twords the back of truck, also grab a carbon monoxide detector and install as well. Let us know how its working out for ya. Might give green apu a try the next go around.

Hey Justin, how about selling the sun visors with "Justtruckin" on it. Good advert for you :) :). Do them in various sizes, ie, truck or car?
I have a feeling that we as a nation are going to have to learn how to fabricate parts again for our machines.
An AP used is definitely a great investment. But I have learned my lesson I will never have an APU that is tied into the coolant system of the truck. For the simple fact is you cannot run your Apu while you're driving the truck because you have to water pumps fighting each other also if your water pump on your engine blows or your water pump on your Apu blows you are done you're stuck there until you get it fixed. I will only run a stand-alone APU. I've had the AC go out in the truck and I can reach back there hit the button turn the Apu on keep on driving the same thing with the alternator.
Shoot small mini split condenser rotating evap , done 14 gauge wire a fuse panel mount the remote . 2k. They did a nice job but I know you spent a fortune .
Man if everyone was as positive as this guy the world would be a better place

So the black box with the blower motor contains the AC evaporator coil and and the heater core which is tied into both diesel's engines cooling systems? When the thermostat calls for heat, the Kubota APU diesel turns on and the coolant goes through the heater core and heats the cab? I guess the electric fan on the APU blows air across the AC condenser and the Kubota engine. Great design, the Kubota engine powers the alternator to charge the batteries, runs the AC compressor when needed and provides hot water to heat the cab when needed.
Also, the w9 looks like it has a nose that sticks out 10' further than the Volvo !!!!

Nice truck man but the dang squeaky man i had the same problem in my large car seeing it is an older truck took me 3 whole weeks to stop all squeaking and rattling.... i got it done tho!

That Green APU snaps to life really quick it definitely seems to start faster and turn over less than most other APU's
everything works better when it's new ;-) (er, most everything that is lol)

How much was the apu and install?
APUs were just becoming a thing, back in 2006, when I retired.
I always thought it was an awesome idea, to have a separate unit, that could run all the comfort aspects of living in a truck, without using the main engine.
In 82 when I was a driver the only thing you’d see an APU on was the Western Star. That truck was way out of my price range.
Back in the 90s I bought a freight shaker with a Double Eagle sleeper. Back then they called them generators. Very nice to have. Mine had a little Kubota engine in it.

Wouldn’t ever waste my money on an APU, no how, no way, never pay for themselves. I’ve been out here 35 years, and always make a point to talk to other drivers that have them. Never h e anything good to say about them. Do you not check your fuel mpg at the tank, where it is the most accurate?
Maybe from a Fuel savings perspective, they aren’t worth it, but what about from an idle hour point of view on a very pricey truck motor? Seems like the trucks make it further before needing an in-frame with APUs 🤷🏽
@@imatotalrapper the point is, 12,000 dollars up front, and the never ending of maintenance, I know plenty of owner operators, that have them hanging on their trucks, and haven’t used them for three years, just got sick of the never ending problems. Owner operators as a whole always take better care of their equipment, we are paying foe everything. Get a bunk heater, webaso, or whatever, you heating issue is gone, the unbearable hot days, then idle your truck, put the rpms up just a bit. I’ve got plenty of million mile engines. I oil sample every 15,000 miles, if your soot level is good, you have no issues whatsoever idling, but I don’t idle unless necessary, have to use some common sense.

Sorry that’s. A garbage setup he’s got the best Freon lmao using accetelyne which is not needed. There only a hi vilocity system . Could have of saved thousands. Zip ties condenser , evaporator, always heat and cool . Yea if there’s no pressure that means loose cap or leak . That’s not ductwork lol . It’s s hi vilocity system mini and overpriced .

Make sure you don’t let the Beacon put any brightener on the W9. I’d hate see that aluminum turn white.

I’ve had my green apu installed about 3 months ago on my t680 and it won’t heat my cab if the temp is below 20 degrees outside. Coolant temp never gets above 100 degrees to help heat the engine.
I do Hvac if you have questions. I need to get my cdl this looks fun. Dude I would of hooked up a mini split for you. Make you freeze you ass off .6 hours good lord
