Fantastic - I immediately started my own spreadsheet with the ideas this inspired - love your videos - always a positive boost in my day
I once had a session where a small village the players were staying in collapsed into a sink hole, leaving them stuck in the depths of an unknown cavern system. All over the cavern walls grew a a fungal-like moss that glowed with a green light. So I turned off the room lights turned, much to the puzzlement of my players, and I snapped half-dozen green glow sticks to simulate the glow within the caverns, renewing fading ones as the time went on. So the whole evening in the caverns was spent playing by the light of green glow sticks. Props, I love 'em.
That sounds EPIC!
Thanks Man! I really was needing this video!
Greetings from Brazil!

I haven’t watched the whole video yet but I already know it’s gonna be super cool and helpful!
I freaking love this tutorial. I'm definitely gonna do this for my players!
I am inspired, I really want to make my own items now!
Can’t wait for the final product! It’s very cool seeing your creative process for it like this!
Just found this channel today. Art and DND content on the same channel! Instant subscribe!!!
Glad you found me!
I feel like you'd be an epic DM to play with man. Any chance of you running a campaign with the Shredquarters crew? I think Andy would be particularly entertaining considering you can't even predict what he'll say in real life 😂
I do run a game for Andy, Sam, and Ryan Chambers. Don't have the confidence, time, or resources to live stream it though! Maybe someday!
@@JPCoovert Oh man PLEASE try!! 🙏🏻
I love it
Thanks for making another amazing video! I'm currently working on a campaign and your videos really help :)
Well, you made characters pics, minis, maps, now some magic itens and cards for your zine, soon you'll make your own book with your own game! hahaha
And so much more after that!!! 😎
I so want this guy to be my GM
I hope these introductions & you making things become a weekly thing, I really love to watch these :)
That's the plan!
@@JPCoovert awesome! quick question, how do you give that texture to the brush? isn't it the original hard brush from photoshop?
@@WhoisThatFreak It's a conte brush from the Dry Media Photoshop pack. If you click the menu icon (top right) in the brushes window and go to "Get More Brushes" it will take you do the adobe site. Sign into you CC account and you can download A TON of awesome brushes from there!
@@JPCoovert oh, okay, thanks :) also, I have to mention, I once wrote you on insta but I wanted to wrote from here too, you're one of the artists that I really adore & to reach your standards. I think our styles are similar but you're steps ahead of me :) Thanks for sharing your work with us
This video is so fun!
Amaziing 🔥
Love ur videos man 👍
Awesome
I love seeing how the game becomes another way to create art. I can barely draw a stick figure but my daughter is super creative. Maybe we can tag team where I write the stat side and she draws the cards. Right now I’m just handing out post it’s. Ha
Looking forward to the zine!
That sounds like an AWESOME idea!
JP, love your stuff. Technical question - what resolution are you working in for these ?
I'm working at 600 dpi on these, just in case I need to blow up their size at some point. I could increase them by 200% and drop the resolution down to 300 dpi and they'll still look good!
Are you using a pen and tablet with Photoshop in this video? Great stuff. I haven't made the jump to digital for items yet; I'm using hand drawn and laminated.
JP can you set up a newsletter for the zine? I want to be on ground floor for when that puppy drops. I’m sure I’m not the only one who would like something like that.
If you follow me here on RUclips. Or on Instagram or Twitter I'll be posting about it none stop. Also, keep an eye out for ZineQuest 3 on Kickstarter!
hey, can i draw this on paper ( no print )
So cool! What kind of brushes do you use in Photoshop? I think they serve this handdrawn look so much! (Edit: found a comment underneath - i will check the adobe suite! :D. )
Check out the "dry media" set from Adobe. Click the menu button top right of the brush window and go to "get more brushes"
@@JPCoovert thank you so much !!
What do you call a movie watched by a group of stag beatles...
How does someone in minnesota join your campaigns
I only play with my pals, BUT this Dragon Town zine will be a great way to play a campaign like the games I run.
