at this point, honestly, the Royale High devs keep saying EVERY SINGLE YEAR "oh, we're gonna do better to communicate with our players." "we're gonna make better updates." "we're sorry, we'll do better." and EVERY SINGLE YEAR nothing changes. they just keep messing up and coming out with updates that make the game worse every time. honestly, it's getting ridiculous at this point, and I'm really, truly, thinking about just not playing the game at all anymore. I haven't been in Royale High since last year in December. over it.

9:31 the cherry blossom set is a culturally inaccurate, sloppy mix of vaguely “asian” concepts done with a lack of intent to make a set that actually represents a culture, plus the chopsticks in the hair is stereotypical and (afaik) offensive, which is why people take issue with it

Honestly, this update was a huge mistake for the rh dev team, they already have people crying about the 2 sets being removed, and the creator of the 2 sets didn't get notified about this. Also, we are still begging for the cherry blossom set to be reworked..Royale High has a LOT of work to fix up...

i’ve been playing royale high for as long as i can remember, and this is super depressing just seeing this golden game fall into ruins because of overpricing, and developer laziness i’ve actually stopped playing it about like 2 weeks ago bc of how expensive the starlight set was and how there was barely any new updates even though the developers would apologize and make the most blank promises to help make RH better i’ve started playing Astro Renaissance, a game SIMILAR (not copied) to Royale High, and I’ve also noticed how POORLY RH represents different cultures and such.

fr I was playing RH since 2017. And I don't even lie, I played it since it appeared. it was a regular dress up game where you needed to approach the pedestal with hair go equip it, its even sad that callmehbob deleted the old version of a game because it was sooo nostalgic. I still can't believe its been 7 YEARS! Thats my childhood actually. I don't play it anymore and I don't plan to because it because an unplayable piece of shi that breaks my pc and CPU.

REAL! I started playing RH a few months after its release and I played for a solid 5 years in a row. I fell out of love with the game because of the lack of updates and content even though I still love fashion games. It's truly a shame that the devs are so incredibly clueless of the mistakes they are making. The least they could do is give Matt the opportunity to rework the sets before removing them completely. It's like burning a piece of art because it doesn't fit in your house anymore. I hope that the devs realize their mistakes soon.

Found this when looking up if you can copyright clothing. Copyright protects the creators of intellectual property of works of art, which means your design cannot be reproduced or duplicated without your permission. However, clothing is considered a "useful article." This means you cannot copyright the clothes themselves, or even the design. So makes no sense for them to delete it if there reasoning was because of copy right.
This might depend on what country you’re in. And while an article of clothing generally can’t be copyrighted in the US, you could copyright the patterns used on the clothes, you could also use other protections like patents or trademarks, so there are still a lot of legal issues when you re-create already existing things. I think this whole issue could’ve been avoided easily if rh didn’t accept designs that were straight up copies of already existing designs and only allowed for things that are inspired but not copied directly. It’s disappointing that this situation even happened in the first place tbh

The fluttering butterfly was literally my first bodice! I literally only have *ONE* bodice now because it is very hard for me to do anything on my PlayStation because on mobile my game instantly crashes! I used to be able to play royal high Ipoh mobile with no problems at all! Now it is so hard to afford anything now. I wish Royal High gets the update it needs, because it used to be my favourite game. And not telling the creators is crazy!

My FIRST corset and my FIRST heels got removed I played royals high with my friend all th time she got deer dolly heels and corset we saved together it was so fun now I don’t have any of those items anymore
I gave a little over half of my inventory for the enchanting heirloom corset when it was still here and I had an old account now to know it’s gone I don’t even want to get back I’m on my old account and transfer items over because now I have practically nothing of value

My friend quit due to royale high deleting her favorite item.. (it had smth to do with Melanie Martinez). The sad part is that they barely even gave her enough gems to make up for it. That item getting removed was her breaking point, so she quit the game due to all the problems she listed to me. (Believe me, there were a lot). It’s honestly sad at this point because royale high has so much potential, and great aesthetics, but the devs absolutely suck at managing it. I get it if they’re busy, but they could at least *update* us on what’s going on.

Tbh Royale High is actually broken when campus 3 came out like the dorms update to spend more diamonds on expensive stuff for a nice dorm and some players are low on diamonds but like,spend robux to buy x2/x4 diamonds per lv up or whatever has ruined the game a lot but if you're a veteran in that game or an old player of the game and has a lot of diamonds, you're lucky enough and the new set is kinda expensive in my opinion (all of this are my opinion on the game but I still play it bc I like to grind diamonds and play it in my free time)

Matt was literally working w royale high since like 2018 and was considered as a developer. He was literally in events as an npc but he was suddenly discluded. I've always felt that matt was slowly drifting away from rh and i thought it was just me but they're clearly showing no signs of acknowledgement to a fellow developer who helped this game to be where it is now (not including the bad.) I haven't played rh for like a year and for me, The new developers they've hired are like so not in touch. Wannabe professionals, Just dropping hints and leaks of updates here and there. Most of them are so young working with a middle aged woman. Why can't barbie just hire someone her age? IK it's seen in talent but it's kinda weird. This is purely my opinion! Plus new devs just makes overpriced sets like gaddamn. We need a sukimeki comeback. Reasonable prices for quality sets ‼️‼️
Nah I took a break from royale high (when dorms just got released, I dipped) just to see THIS!? Not only do they take 2 sets away but I just learned you have to pay for dorms and for new dorms you can’t even reuse items you already paid for!? People spent like over 100k in some cases! It’s getting so bad, people including myself are creating and developing similarly styled games because rh is just getting this bad, examples Ik of on TikTok are Sleepaway high, Eldritch High, Heavenly heights and prolly many more. It’s just sad tbh. Eldritch sleepaway and Heavenly are focusing on gameplay and role play aspects unlike rh. But they also have pretty, gorgeous even, maps and this is just getting depressing dude. Rh is digging their own grave especially with the new doll.

i've been playing royale high for 5 years now and i spent majority of my time during covid lockdown playing the game and making friends with people in the community. i have to say though, ever since the new school was released, royale high just hasn't felt the same. the updates are underwhelming, the community is slowly diminishing and the game is more about who can get the highest value items rather than the gameplay. i'm starting to wonder whether i should quit because, like you said in the video, the community is in "shambles"

Royal highs downfall is so bad that they are charging up to 300 Dollars for virtual items, and their players went from 200k to 14k. And the only time i see RUclipsrs talk about it, its always bad news. Royal high had SUCH GOOD POTENTIAL But it fell into the wrong hands, instead it fell right into the hands of money-hungry and greedy people. At this point the game is done for and they should just sell it. I'm so glad I quit month back 🙁 its so sad to see a game you loved to play afterschool to roleplay and have fun turn out like this..
I have been on a rh break for a few months (ever since December I lost my 749 day log in streak I gave up🤭) and I had no clue what to expect for the update or that there was one until Bea posted a video. I read the title and RAAAANNN to rh, when I got there I was compensated for the sets and I didn’t think much of it except maybe a few ppl being upset. However, I was not aware that they didn’t tell the creator not to mention all the other small details like the dorms. I feel like even the “new hair friday” is falling apart too because every time they reuse the old hair styles and just add a different little spin with new art. They could easily take inspo from the roblox hair catalog. What is happening is not an issue for me (other than the dorms) but nothing compares to that halo….idk who made it or why they made it because I thought that the Everfriend was supposed to be for valentines+Easter+spring all in one- I’m not criticizing the creators work of it other than…I want to know how and why they thought of that design. It seems very basic and bland. The flowers aren’t even detailed flowers..it’s like it’s just a child’s drawing of squiggles and flowers and was rushed. They could have at least added some detailed flowers..

I quit Royale High, after my devices which are NOT old ( my moms iPhone 15 too) kept crashing due to the amount of data and lag in the new campus. I missed campus 2, it was so good. But seeing the Butterfly heels, my first pair i spent weeks grinding without any gamepasses just get removed just hurts.
I quit royale high a few days/weeks ago because it wasn’t fun anymore. All people did was bully me for not knowing much and being poor . I hated what power I chose when I first started and couldn’t change it and even when I discovered the human arms and bodice I still hated it. It’s just greedy and not properly playable anymore :(

I didn't even get the 'notification.' I just joined the game and I had a ton of diamonds and some of my stuff was gone. Not only was this update annoying, but some people didn't even get their diamonds back or get notified about their stuff disappearing. 😒

I just started royale high 4 days ago and I’m level 31. I honestly didn’t care that much myself since I have no heels, corsets, sleeves, and skirts. But I really feel bad for everyone who lost the heels they grinded for.
Honestly with how bad Royale High has gotten it's not even worth supporting anymore, they will never change and they will never see that the problem is theirselves.
If anything they should of done a rehaul or overhaul of the game. Like remaking items, but keeping the old items till they had fixed it. Then when all the items are reworked and improved, they should drop the update. That's what I'd try to do, just to try to keep my fans and fellow creators happy enough for said update. We all know it's hard when things get reworked and all because of copyright, but it's better than downright deleting them into the void never to be seen again. Hopefully they remake and revive how the old royale high felt, without full on reworking the whole game so it's forever different and boring. Reworking a whole game I get, and sometimes you have to do so. For tech or other reasons, but downright deleting works and items that players earned and would've loved to see revamped in the creators styles is just sad.
I think it would just be best to boycott royale high for a while. Devs have said multiple times that they’re going to do better for YEARS but they never have. If they’re not going to take responsibility they don’t deserve their platform imo.
I love how royale high knew after they got rid of the two most influential people to play royale high in this day and age and knew people were mad about it and knew that people were trying to warn royale high that if they didn’t do anything about this that royale high was going to die; but royale high still made confusing dumb updates and thought it would bring new and some old people back into the game. Honestly, this update was a huge mistake for the rh dev team, they already have people crying about the 2 sets being removed, and the creator of the 2 sets didn't get notified about this. Also, we are still begging for the cherry blossom set to be reworked..Royale High has a LOT of work to fix up...

i’ve been playing royale high for as long as i can remember, and this is super depressing just seeing this golden game fall into ruins because of overpricing, and developer laziness

REAL! I started playing RH a few months after its release and I played for a solid 5 years in a row. I fell out of love with the game because of the lack of updates and content even though I still love fashion games. It's truly a shame that the devs are so incredibly clueless of the mistakes they are making. The least they could do is give Matt the opportunity to rework the sets before removing them completely. It's like burning a piece of art because it doesn't fit in your house anymore. I hope that the devs realize their mistakes soon.

Copyright protects the creators of intellectual property of works of art, which means your design cannot be reproduced or duplicated without your permission. However, clothing is considered a "useful article." This means you cannot copyright the clothes themselves, or even the design.
So makes no sense for them to delete it if there reasoning was because of copy right.
This might depend on what country you’re in. And while an article of clothing generally can’t be copyrighted in the US, you could copyright the patterns used on the clothes, you could also use other protections like patents or trademarks, so there are still a lot of legal issues when you re-create already existing things. I think this whole issue could’ve been avoided easily if rh didn’t accept designs that were straight up copies of already existing designs and only allowed for things that are inspired but not copied directly. It’s disappointing that this situation even happened in the first place tbh

My friend quit due to royale high deleting her favorite item.. (it had smth to do with Melanie Martinez). The sad part is that they barely even gave her enough gems to make up for it. That item getting removed was her breaking point, so she quit the game due to all the problems she listed to me. (Believe me, there were a lot). It’s honestly sad at this point because royale high has so much potential, and great aesthetics, but the devs absolutely suck at managing it. I get it if they’re busy, but they could at least *update* us on what’s going on.

Tbh Royale High is actually broken when campus 3 came out like the dorms update to spend more diamonds on expensive stuff for a nice dorm and some players are low on diamonds but like,spend robux to buy x2/x4 diamonds per lv up or whatever has ruined the game a lot but if you're a veteran in that game or an old player of the game and has a lot of diamonds, you're lucky enough and the new set is kinda expensive in my opinion (all of this are my opinion on the game but I still play it bc I like to grind diamonds and play it in my free time)

Matt was literally working w royale high since like 2018 and was considered as a developer. He was literally in events as an npc but he was suddenly discluded. I've always felt that matt was slowly drifting away from rh and i thought it was just me but they're clearly showing no signs of acknowledgement to a fellow developer who helped this game to be where it is now (not including the bad.) I haven't played rh for like a year and for me, The new developers they've hired are like so not in touch. Wannabe professionals, Just dropping hints and leaks of updates here and there. Most of them are so young working with a middle aged woman. Why can't barbie just hire someone her age? IK it's seen in talent but it's kinda weird. This is purely my opinion! Plus new devs just makes overpriced sets like gaddamn. We need a sukimeki comeback. Reasonable prices for quality sets ‼️‼️

i've been playing royale high for 5 years now and i spent majority of my time during covid lockdown playing the game and making friends with people in the community. i have to say though, ever since the new school was released, royale high just hasn't felt the same. the updates are underwhelming, the community is slowly diminishing and the game is more about who can get the highest value items rather than the gameplay. i'm starting to wonder whether i should quit because, like you said in the video, the community is in "shambles"

Royal highs downfall is so bad that they are charging up to 300 Dollars for virtual items, and their players went from 200k to 14k. And the only time i see RUclipsrs talk about it, its always bad news. Royal high had SUCH GOOD POTENTIAL But it fell into the wrong hands, instead it fell right into the hands of money-hungry and greedy people. At this point the game is done for and they should just sell it. I'm so glad I quit month back 🙁 its so sad to see a game you loved to play afterschool to roleplay and have fun turn out like this..
I have been on a rh break for a few months (ever since December I lost my 749 day log in streak I gave up🤭) and I had no clue what to expect for the update or that there was one until Bea posted a video. I read the title and RAAAANNN to rh, when I got there I was compensated for the sets and I didn’t think much of it except maybe a few ppl being upset. However, I was not aware that they didn’t tell the creator not to mention all the other small details like the dorms. I feel like even the “new hair friday” is falling apart too because every time they reuse the old hair styles and just add a different little spin with new art. They could easily take inspo from the roblox hair catalog. What is happening is not an issue for me (other than the dorms) but nothing compares to that halo….idk who made it or why they made it because I thought that the Everfriend was supposed to be for valentines+Easter+spring all in one- I’m not criticizing the creators work of it other than…I want to know how and why they thought of that design. It seems very basic and bland. The flowers aren’t even detailed flowers..it’s like it’s just a child’s drawing of squiggles and flowers and was rushed. They could have at least added some detailed flowers..

I quit Royale High, after my devices which are NOT old ( my moms iPhone 15 too) kept crashing due to the amount of data and lag in the new campus. I missed campus 2, it was so good. But seeing the Butterfly heels, my first pair i spent weeks grinding without any gamepasses just get removed just hurts.

I just started royale high 4 days ago and I’m level 31. I honestly didn’t care that much myself since I have no heels, corsets, sleeves, and skirts. But I really feel bad for everyone who lost the heels they grinded for.
This is the same reason I stopped playing royale high 😭😭😭 they dk what to do anymore fr and all the new sets cost an arm and a leg too

If anything they should of done a rehaul or overhaul of the game. Like remaking items, but keeping the old items till they had fixed it.
Then when all the items are reworked and improved, they should drop the update. That's what I'd try to do, just to try to keep my fans and fellow creators happy enough for said update.
We all know it's hard when things get reworked and all because of copyright, but it's better than downright deleting them into the void never to be seen again.
Hopefully they remake and revive how the old royale high felt, without full on reworking the whole game so it's forever different and boring.
Reworking a whole game I get, and sometimes you have to do so. For tech or other reasons, but downright deleting works and items that players earned and would've loved to see revamped in the creators styles is just sad.

I think it would just be best to boycott royale high for a while. Devs have said multiple times that they’re going to do better for YEARS but they never have. If they’re not going to take responsibility they don’t deserve their platform imo.

I love how royale high knew after they got rid of the two most influential people to play royale high in this day and age and knew people were mad about it and knew that people were trying to warn royale high that if they didn’t do anything about this that royale high was going to die; but royale high still made confusing dumb updates and thought it would bring new and some old people back into the game. as someone who used to play royale high and kinda gave up because the farming was ridiculous, i can kinda understand the girl that was crying. i mean imagine, you play almost every day for months (if not over a year) and spend so much time working towards getting an item in game, and its just removed ? just like that ?
honestly i think they should atleast give the players compensation but even then its so random and just so inconsiderate to the community to take away an item with no prior notice
