At first I genuinely thought you guys hated each other with how you guys yell at each other, but this has become the one podcast I genuinely look forward to every new episode. You guys for as much crap as you give each other, genuinely are good friends that just like to yell at each other. =)
Trying to pick a winner this week is like picking which Trick or Treat item is better: raisins or pennies. Nobody mentioned Roseanne specials, so in the end one thing swayed me: The Nightmare Before Christmas. My wife and I love this film and it was a recurring theme at our Halloween wedding....but since Dylan's hates love by laughing at Joe's story, the vote goes to Joe. Love always wins.
I was waiting for someone to mention all the wonderful tv episodes that came out near Halloween and then you guys did mention the Office and Community. For tv episode, I always enjoyed the Halloween special episodes from Roseanne, The Office, Modern Family, Community, Home Improvement, The Big Bang Theory, Superstore, and 30 Rock. The animated shows for Halloween episodes, The Simpsons, South Park, Family Guy, The Peanuts, Loony Tunes, Bob Burgers. And actual Halloween themed movies is Trick 'R Treat, Halloween (of course), Trick Or Treat, Hubie Halloween (Adam Sandler flick), Idle Hands, and The Crow which I believe all happened on or during the Halloween season. As far as voting this week. I like a good mix of both of your picks. I might have to go with a tie for this one. Community is good, the Muppets is good, Charlie Brown is good, King Of The Hill is good.
Shoes, you need to see the new SNL movie. The guy who played Riddler on Gotham plays Chevy, and he's hilarious as Chevy from the night of the first episode of SNL.

Sorry Shoes. I hate Halloween and I'm not a fan of Xmas. But Nightmare before Christmas hands down by itself wins the episode. And you can watch it on either Xmas or Halloween. Both of yall are seriously lacking horror, but I gotta give Shoes the edge for Treehouse of Horror alone. Even the man himself Hornswoggle admitted to liking it. Hilloween truly underappreciated, and Muppets Haunted Mansion is bottom 5 muppet programs of all time so this is a Shoes KO.
This episode had more bad draft picks than the Cleveland Browns (It’s my team so I’m allowed to make fun of them). I understand not being horror guys but really? Even so, there were still good horror adjacent picks left on the table. Halloween celebrates all horror movies so plenty more horror adjacent movies would have been acceptable. No Hocus Pocus? No Addams Family? NO GHOSTBUSTERS?! Now, we have Mr. Stay Puft crying in the corner because you did pick one of best horror comidies ever! I originally wanted to abstain from voting because of how bad these picks were. All TV shows from Shoes is a pass for me and Dylan’s picks were bottom of the barrel… until the last one. I cant vote against The Nightmare Before Christmas. First off, it’s a Christmas movie because most of the movie is about Christmas. Why I can’t vote against it is because it’s one of my wife’s favorite movies of all time, along with Beetlejuice (which also would have been a great pick). She loves it so much that I planned my proposal around the movie. On Halloween of 2019, we watched that movie that night (Still not a Halloween movie). During the last scene as Jack and Sally say “Simply meant to be.”, I got on one knee and popped the question. I even got a specially made casket box for the ring that has Jack and Sally on it with that day’s date. Therefore, my vote goes to Dylan.
This is the closest to a tie that I have ever witnessed. Picks 2 to 5 for both of you completely washed each other out. Now where my vote comes down to is the number 1 picks. I’m going with Joe again because Community is such a great overall show and that particular episode is so funny. Plus I don’t agree with Nightmare Before Christmas is a Halloween movie, it is a Christmas movie with spooky characters. If you think this is a Halloween movie I think you missed the plot. Nightmare Before Christmas is a mediocre plotted movie with superbly designed characters. That is what people love about Nightmare before Christmas, it’s the characters not the movie that people obsess about. The Disney merch machine got people believing it is better than what it really is. As an artist I love nightmare before Christmas because of how cool the characters look and I love stop animation, but the movie is just meh and not a must watch. Joe with the squeaker. And word of advice Dylan don’t pick Candy Canes for your favorite Halloween candy because is a Christmas candy not a Halloween candy just like how nightmare before Christmas is a Christmas movie. 😂. And Joe thanks for the toyhio shout out. See you there. Dylan please come back.
