I think its like in the scene where Ran Vijay says he cut his long hair for Papa , and people ask him what's so special about it. But its so important for Ran Vijay. Not all Real life humans know how to express love. Saying a melodramatic tear jerking dialogue is possible in films because a writer has put his mind and time into thinking that and writing it. But in real life people don't get that much time to compose a dialogue or action to express. Ran Vijay destroyed his own family , his relation with his wife and broke his promise to her to find the person who is trying to kill his father. Even in the end he asks the person to leave his father alone first. People can think its his lust that he has sex with Zoya but in his way he is breaking the promise he gave to his wife and knowingly destroying his own family to save his father. Ran Vijay is an animal, animals don't express love like humans rather they do it in ways they think is love.

I know the film package is mainstream masala movie but even so the sentiment was delivered on point.
It was awkwardly shown as both son and father has a ego clash despite that father was always a hero who takes first and formost place in Ranvijay's mind.
I loved Mr. Sandeep Reddy Vanga's vision and interviews for the movie.

Bilkul sahi kaha.. Animal is not a movie it's a series of shoking scenes/violent emotions jisko director ne peero diya. Koi story hai hi nhi sirf negative emotions..ek bad ek scenes mein jo Vanga Reddy ne imagine Kiya.. Robert Pattinson ka ek movie hai Remember me, jisme ek scene hai school ka uski younger sister ko school me uske classmate bully karte hai.. to uske bad wo kaise deal karta hai , us scene me emotions ko dikhaya, ek brother ka love and care dikhaya ,jisko bolte perfect screeplay and script writing..aplog dekho aur fir compare karna Animal k scenes se. But (Robert)usne jo Kiya uska repercussion bhi dikhaya.. lekin Animal me to Police system exist hi nhi karti bhai..

But vanga also knows it...hence there's a dialogue at the end by anil kapoor saying " tujhe mere naam p jitne gale kaatne h kaat le but tu andar se criminal he rhega" just after ranbir saying agar mera violence na hota to ye ghar abbad nhi hota..also the conversation between father son during anils birthday clearly establishes that ranbir had a craving for fathers love which he never recieved. hence the character turns a little pyschotic from his childhood.. which is again evident from last scene "mai papa aap beta"

I was about to write this.
People need to realize that in this movie Ranbir as a child always craved for his father's attention and validation because he didn't even get the bare minimum a child should get. This slowly reaches the point of obsession and borderline psychopathic behaviour. He never got the chance to have a healthy conversation with his father. This is something people with normal childhood will never realize. It's like one sided love man. Only the Guys who have lived those experiences can feel for Ranbir's character.

And for the character goes all the way to kill the person who was behind all this. And takes all internal damage. Wife leaves him. Isse jyada aur kya hi karega koi bhai..? People just don't have the right emotion to understand this movie . Which fails to recognise the character..

He didnt understand why it was so. His entire childhood act of the movie is meant to show his madness for his father. As a child he did everything possible for a child to express his love. Then it Moves on- meaning he has gotten over the fact that his father will keep ignoring him. Someone who has grown with such childhood would tend to be subtle and highly selective of the actions he takes regarding the most respected person in his life. He will rise to action if he perceives a threat, or else he will tend to keep his reverance close to his chest.

Agar wo pyaar show kar skta tha toh baaki sab usko karne ki naubat hi nhi aata na boss!!
Majority of Indian father's don't show their affection for their sons, to make them tough and strong man.
Tell me how many indian fathers say to his son "I love your" or give them a hug.
    Sons grow the same way!!
    Thats the movie was about!!
Duniya Tumhari "Panchayat" series ki logon k jaisa pyaara nhi he.

Jimmy Shergill bhi toh bolke hi izhar kiya. Both of these character are very different from each other. One came from middle class family who lost his father’s money and may not have gone through father crisis as he grew old. The other is rich kid who barely got his father’s attention wanted to go any limit to get his love. It’s different way of love.

I think in Animal movie, the father-son relationship is showcased by showing how the son becomes a strong SHIELD to protect his father from the ones who wants to kill him.
The son has justified his love by being a warrior who puts his life in line to protect his king.
Every movie has a different perspective of showcasing father-son relationships.
I think comparisons like these are useless.
Animal was a good movie with good actors and good songs.
Talking about violence in the film, I think its responsibility of the parents to keep their children away.
I would like to state that rather than commenting harshly, you must appreciate the hardwork done by the filmmaker and the actors.
Its entertainment industry, I believe it's the responsibility of the people to choose what they need to watch as the board always give certification before the release of the film.

He loved his father and always sought validation for his love. You see the amount of love he has for his father in this song itself, when he's sleeping and Anil Kapoor finds the note etched in his hand as he slept. Sometimes it's hard to express your love in words as you might not be the same with your parents as you're with your siblings. His obsession led him to insanity. Comparing RK to Jimmy Shergill's character is incorrect as both are different individuals and perceive love in different ways.

Yes that's the exact thing I said to my wife in theatre also I expected them to sort his daddy issues by being the best father for his son & Anil Kapoor will also tell him that by connecting the letter "Agle janam me tum mere papa banna aur mai tumhara beta".

Biswapati Bhai, you were privileged to be loved by everyone. You went to good school, good college and your parents would have given you everything which you needed whether it is love or any materialistic thing but when you go through a fucked up childhood then only you can understand the same affection of love as son always carry a scar so he can't express his love but can be felt.

I haven't watched it yet but people said the police are absent in this movie. My theory here is, a school going kid who sees his father as a hero and is struggling for father's validation and also wants to be a gangster (thinks it's cool) 'imagining' this all.'
It is not at all real, it is actually the imagination of a school kid or a teenager..

Mai bs itna bolunga ki jake phir se dekho....You have missed some initial points in the movie. The basic premise of the film is distortion of love for father and it becoming a toxic obsession. The movie is named animal because the motive of the film is to showcase the hero's journey in devolving into an animal due to his ethos and principles. He is not bending his factors and he wants to prove his love for father by learning from his father. Love is lacking in his heart because his love for father is not reciprocated in the initial parts of the film. The monologue in the end establishes it while giving conclusion to the story. The film is story of Ranvijay, not his relation with father.

bro thats why is realistic and subtle , he loves his father like every child , but because of the practicality of life , he was always apart from him , he was a loving son , not a sincere son , the story is not about the bond , its about lack of bond , its about lack of love

    Absolutely true

  • @kshitijvedak02
    @kshitijvedak02 15 дней назад +1

He is partially right but Actually there is more details to it which is missed.
When he is a kid, he leaves his school in the middle of the day because it’s his father’s bday and runs home to wish him and spend time with him only to be disheartened. He leaves a letter for his father when he knows he’s not going to spend any time.
The whole idea about the relationship is subtle because as his father has no time for him, there is a distance developed between them which eventually goes so bad that he leaves his home to move abroad.
That’s why the incident of his father being attacked is radical for the movie. Because the character develops a criminal mindset, he goes crazy over killing people. Everything just to earn his father’s long lost love. Everything is disclosed in the end when he knows his father is going to die.

Absolutely! Whatever he did was just to prove that ‘according to him’ he loves his father. Obsession/awareness/ grudge/revenge is never love, be it father, friends, your own kids or loved ones. This debate is very nicely depicted in one scene from Taare Zameen Par. Where Ishaan’s father comes to Nikumbh (Aamir Khan’s Character) to prove, that him and his wife (Ishaan’s mother) are reading about Dyslexia and they know everything about it, hence Nikumbh shouldn’t feel that they don’t care about Ishaan. That’s when Nikumbh says, that, to care is to actually be with the person, to make them feel comfortable, to make them feel okay about their failures, or their limitations, to assure them that they are with them no matter what. And he says in the end that “I am happy that ‘you think’ that you care about Ishaan”.
The character from Animal has been nothing but unkind to his father, to himself, his wife, to all other brothers, just to prove that he “loves” his father. That’s not how anyone loves their father, or rather anyone.
Now I am not saying that such movies shouldn’t be made. In fact, it’s so refreshing to see when people say that it’s just a movie no need to be so analytical about it. But it starts getting scary to see people actually debating in support of the character’s actions, and providing justifications about everything he did.
