With at least a temporary end to the Camaro production there will most likely be a high performance version of a Malibu. They’ll need a competitive body style to replace the Camaro for NASCAR and other forms of racing .
I’ve also seen an El Camino version on probably the same platform and design.
If this is true, I would definitely purchase one.

I bought a 2022 chevy Malibu with the 4 cylinder and after 2 days I returned it cuz it had no power and lag during take off. Car was to heavy for the engine. Bring back the V6
What's the range? My jaguar XJL has a range of 570 miles. A full size luxury automobile which not to many make anymore. Paid off at 41K. I'll take A look at this car when it comes out. We'll see. If it's electric, keep it.

Americans didn't stop buying your sedan because they didn't like sedan. They stopped buying them for multiple reasons, looks, pricing, and lack of horsepower. It's the same reason your SUV are having the problems they're having right now. PS. As for their sales being up, how many of them are fleet sales? The vehicle in this video doesn't look bad. But how much of it is going to make it to production?
@rickcarrasco6716 Two things, I used to be a Chevy guy. My first car was a 1975 Chevy Camaro second was a 1976 full-size pickup paid $500 a piece for them, yes, they were both used. And I've owned several in between then and now. Clean up to my 2020 Silverado trailboss Custom. That, I paid $34,000, which I trade on my 2023 BMW X4 M4OI. You know a man's car, not a chick's vehicle that Chevy wants man vehicle prices for.
@rickcarrasco6716 Yes, my car is twice the price of a Malibu, but it's 50 times better. A Malibu is a car you buy if you're just looking for transportation. Here's a couple of cars right that same price range. Toyota Camry TRD 301 horsepower and better looking, Dodge Charger GT 301 horsepower and AWD better looking, Subaru WRX 271 horsepower and AWD and again better looking. It's GM's job to build a vehicle the public wants to buy. It's not the public job to buy vehicle GM wants to build.
