+Taylor Carter Hells yeah man. After I upgraded my main guitar, I ended up EMG-ing all of my guitars (81+85 set). I don't want to play any other pickups now.
+snake Well, PU height is basically nothing difficult, it's more like a matter of taste. I know people ho have them 2-3 millimeters under the strings and there are people they screw it so deep that they touch the body on the ground. Itjust depends on your taste. There is no "right" or "false" pickup height.
yerushalaimnehereset lol, i basically freaked out with the pickup height, i measured the previous pickups that were in the guitar, then matched it to the emgs...
Well. I guess you forgot that there is a big difference between active PU's in case of magnetic fields. Where passives have a really big and strong magnetic field active's have almost no magnetic field or more like a really tiny one. So you can screw them nearer to your strings to become more loder, more articulated and more mids without losing sustain. That's the big advantage of active's.
I have been using the Alnico Tele set for 33 years. Although I really like a Duncan Broadcaster or a Fralin Vintage Hot, the EMG’s take ANYTHING you throw at it! They never get splatty with high gain and are the most responsive.
I’m currently installing these in my Classic vibe 50s and it needs some drilling for the wires to go through the body, as well as some drilling for the battery to fit.
That's only half the fun, once you get into the active tone controls, you'll never want to go back. EMG is the only company that has made my tone knob useful.
@@aneveningwithebola2727 same for me. I haven't tried EMGs yet but I can agree the tone knob just muddies up the tone. Ironically enough the volume knob does more for the tone. I kinda get why some people only have a volumes on passive guitars now.
its nice to see the neck doesn't have to be removed..i just watched a video of an older gentleman saying to replace the pickups; you had to remove the neck. he also used emgs.
I got once a Luke Music Man. Best Guitar I Ever Got. I Changed The Battery Just 2 Times in the Year. The Sound and Punch of The EMG Are One of a Kind. Just my Opinion.
Hi, I love EMG technology, it's simple, but I would like to know how to install a 5-position STRAT switch with active pickups, 2 Humbucker 1 Single coil. Thank you.
Any chance that EMG will make the Tele neck pickup just a touch smaller? It is Hell trying to get that pickup in a standard Tele pickguard. I've done several so it wasn't a one time problem.
Anyone else notice that the back of the body looked like it was routed for a 9-volt battery? It looked like she just dropped the battery into the control plate cavity. Anyone know if it fits that way, for sure?
davecoreproductions Are you fucking stupid? Single coil sized humbuckers... Humbuckers have TWO coils, and a single coil has one coil. I work on guitars and make money doing it, I have installed a handful of EMGs that are single coil sized, and guess what? They sound just like their humbucker sized counterparts because they're active pickups. Don't call someone a noob when you don't know shit.
Great. Now I want to make another Partscaster. These P/Us have a certain "candy" sound to them - not a bad thing, but different from salty sound of traditional Tele pickups. Very, very nice demo playing - the sonic equivalent of fresh waldorf salad.
45mutant they are probably assuming a viewer's telecaster doesn t have a battery compartment in the back. So this is a place to put the battery without having to making a big square hole in the back
for all those who own Affinity series Telecaster and are thinking about this type of set, the bridge pickup doesnt fit in the toploading bridge which affinities have...
I am in the process of installing in my Affinity. I didn’t have trouble with the bridge. The neck pup slot which was sized for a lipstick… requires some sanding to enlarge it.
Just in case anyone is thinking of getting these, the FT doesn’t fit standard Fender pickguards. It’s too big for the hole and the holes in the pickup are too large to mount on a pickguard so it will only direct-mount into the wood.
Would anyone know why there’s a cavity cut out of the back of the guitar. Because I noticed she simply sat the battery down at the bottom of the control cavity. Not that there’s anything wrong with that. I was just wondering. And yes, Monique is beautiful and a great instructor. But I’m happily married to a hottie myself.
I have a set in a 1991 Mexican Tele. I replaced the pick guard since I body mounted the neck pickup. I had to enlarge the pickup opening in the guard slightly to fit. The bridge fit fine.
Biggest pain in the ass for a squire Tele as in don't do it, does not fit the guitar without modification and notice how on hers that there was a battery location on the back of the guitar, yeah you have to have a spot for the nine volt battery
Oh Hell No That's just to freaking easy. I've ben looking at telecaster upgrades for two days now. No soldering, diagrams, flux, mess, no shit every were what gives? I want to get frustrated as hell and beat my guitar to death, this just ain't fair. OK how much $
Hey EMG, TRY FINDING A DEMO OF THESE PICKUPS. You have what looks like hundreds of videos, none of which come up in a simple search for these pickups but a video installing them, and not a single decent country player doing a demo comes up in search either. I can find metal demos of them, piercing awful rock demos, totally wet sounds played in slow motion, and not a single decent country style video of your country offering. That's entirely on you guys.
This is EMG's most underrated pickup set
Hearing final results would’ve been nice to promote EMG pickups..
If emg pickups are this easy to install in a guitar then I'm getting a set of them for my guitar can't wait to get them and install
+Taylor Carter Hells yeah man. After I upgraded my main guitar, I ended up EMG-ing all of my guitars (81+85 set).
I don't want to play any other pickups now.
+Taylor Carter it i quite easy, only diifcult thing is getting the pick up height correct. but installation was a breeze
+snake Well, PU height is basically nothing difficult, it's more like a matter of taste. French beauty. Monique my favorite guitar tech

Background music makes me feel like I'm walking through a club scene in a blade movie
Damn.
I'm switching to emg then
I already did it's badass
That's only half the fun, once you get into the active tone controls, you'll never want to go back. EMG is the only company that has made my tone knob useful.

I watched that too. He said some older style teles you cannot remover the scratch plate without taking the neck off. Most you can.
The music in the background sounds like it come from Blade 2
Thanks for the update.
Good to see y'all on top of future products and customers
Great idea! Everyone should offer this! (solderless) too bad the pickups need batteries.
I read on the musicians friend page they don’t need batteries… I’m confused
That battery thing is a deal breaker
I got once a Luke Music Man. Best Guitar I Ever Got. I Changed The Battery Just 2 Times in the Year. The Sound and Punch of The EMG Are One of a Kind. Just my Opinion.
I’m thinking of installing a set into a MIM tele. I have them in a MIM Strat. Love them.
Building a kit and putting these in it. Just did one with the Het Set and it sounds epic!
I still have an older set on my Modulus because I wore out the first set on it, and I won't put anyone else's pickups on it, the sound is awesome.
Humbuckers, hotrails, single coils or powered EMG'S , She's hotter than all those pickups together ! 😁 Thanks for the demo
Take a drink every time Monique mentions the arrows.
Hi, I love EMG technology, it's simple, but I would like to know how to install a 5-position STRAT switch with active pickups, 2 Humbucker 1 Single coil. Thank you.
What Tele is that? I've not seen a Tele or Tele copy with so much room for a battery in the cavity..
No demo at the end?
I love her rings
Acid house background music lol I love it but really why not have a track made from the guitar that was worked on with the new pick ups
I like it. It sound's good?
fuck yeah monique.
Any chance that EMG will make the Tele neck pickup just a touch smaller? It is Hell trying to get that pickup in a standard Tele pickguard. I've done several so it wasn't a one time problem.
I know you Jim Root fans searched it
Ya know
Lmfao yea
no need to expose us
😂
Ya know
Anyone else notice that the back of the body looked like it was routed for a 9-volt battery?
It looked like she just dropped the battery into the control plate cavity.
Anyone know if it fits that way, for sure?
hi emg, salutes and very nice video!
I have these pickups and have it installed in my tele...and its still humming with grounding noises...any suggestions?
Lol, I had no idea it was that easy. I knew I was on the right track with EMG.
Is there enough slack in the wiring to reverse the control plate, switch and knobs? (Vol, tone, switch)
Does EMG has humbuckers in singlecoil size? I always planned to build a telecaster myself and I'll definitely use EMGs then.
Lol these were single coil size...
Derp Derpson but these are no humbuckers, noob
davecoreproductions
Are you fucking stupid? Single coil sized humbuckers... Humbuckers have TWO coils, and a single coil has one coil. All Active EMGs are humbuckers. The ones here are Stacked. To get hubucker tone, add the SPC control. It adds midrange to fatten like a humbucker.
Is it compatible with Harley Benton TE-52 NA Vintage Series?
What about an HH Telecaster? I want a passive bridge and an active neck🤔😬
Brick-built-drummer then you would need two output jacks. Having both active and passive pickups isn't practical
Did the battery really fit in the control cavity that easily ? I noticed the body had a cutout on the rear !
Looks like someone routed out a battery cutout previously on that body but isn't needed/used.
Is there a Humbucker neck instalment ?
Great. Now I want to make another Partscaster. These P/Us have a certain "candy" sound to them - not a bad thing, but different from salty sound of traditional Tele pickups. Very, very nice demo playing - the sonic equivalent of fresh waldorf salad.
Since I installed the kit I hear the radio in my amp when I put the overdrive. Do you know why ?
forgot the ground wire to the bridge? either that or bad shielding and loooong cable runs
but it has a battery route in the back why install in electronics cavity?
45mutant they are probably assuming a viewer's telecaster doesn t have a battery compartment in the back. So this is a place to put the battery without having to making a big square hole in the back
Yep we can see that - but this is just a demo for a normal Tele set up - just put the battery under the control plate.
I have an EMG Steve Lukater on a stratocaster guitar and they sound much louder than EMG telecaster. What is the cause of that ?
for all those who own Affinity series Telecaster and are thinking about this type of set, the bridge pickup doesnt fit in the toploading bridge which affinities have...
I am in the process of installing in my Affinity. I didn’t have trouble with the bridge. The neck pup slot which was sized for a lipstick… requires some sanding to enlarge it.
Does this set come with a clip to keep the battery secure in the control cavity?
No, just get a piece of foam.
Easy enough I guess!!? I am really into this now!
can you swap the nobs around so the volume is at the front then tone the switch
Barry Perry I think if you buy everything separately then you should be able to do that.
If I by those pickups and in time when the battery dies what kind of battery do I replace it with
...a new one?
It's just a 9 volt
OK but how to install ring on that woman ?
Scrolling down, looking for that one idiot in the comment section.....found him!
@@user-lj3tg4nk3e Why are you gay?
Good job she kept those 'tone screws' for the cork sniffers..
I want to buy this set, but The Page says: "Sorry, no quotes are available for this order at this time".
i'm in Colombia, south America.
hey EMG, so is there a ground wire at the bridge?
I know this is late but active picjups do not use a bridge ground
I wish fender would go back to this body design, you have to screw in the pickup to the pickguard and it makes it a real hassle to change pickguard
will these pickups fit in a squier affinity tele ?
m.zen3 screw holes ?? or the cavity ?
m.zen3 ok thank you :)
Just in case anyone is thinking of getting these, the FT doesn’t fit standard Fender pickguards. It’s too big for the hole and the holes in the pickup are too large to mount on a pickguard so it will only direct-mount into the wood.
wouldn't that 9v battery slide around in that encloser? didn't seem to have it's own compartment to keep it secure.
cameronyears with how tight that cavity is, I doubt that battery's gonna slide much if at all.
cameronyears I usually take some of the foam the EMGs are packed in and wrap it around the battery to prevent that from happening.
same create a battery holder with the foam this protects stuff.
There's a guitar in this video?
Without music it would be asmr. I love her voice
How long does the battery last?
1 year average
Pair with a Roland jazz chorus amplifier to get James Hetfeild's clean tone
no ground wire to bridge??
No need for active PUs
Would anyone know why there’s a cavity cut out of the back of the guitar. Because I noticed she simply sat the battery down at the bottom of the control cavity. Not that there’s anything wrong with that. I was just wondering. And yes, Monique is beautiful and a great instructor. But I’m happily married to a hottie myself.
this made my pants feel tighter
didn't know I could do this to mine
I've read that to get these on a Mexican Tele you have to modify your pickguard and bridge screw holes. Anyone put these on a Mexican Tele?
I have a set in a 1991 Mexican Tele. I replaced the pick guard since I body mounted the neck pickup. I had to enlarge the pickup opening in the guard slightly to fit. The bridge fit fine.
Will this work with humbuckers and does it come in black?
Unreal why something like this is not already standard. Solder and soldering irons is such a waste of time and money.
It’s so easy, even a girl can do it.
Wish she was my guitar tech.
Well now that i know how to put wires through the hole i can do this!
I don't understand why i need a battery
What they don’t tell you is there is no room for the battery, the input jack is not coded either
got emgs badly installed , monique can you come to europe to help me install it :)
WHAM BAM THANK YOU MAAM :)
I hate EMG Tele active pickup for the battery has to be changed frequently🙄
Tengo unas EMG Steve Lukater en una stratocaster y suenan con mas volume q las EMG telecaster a que se debe eso?
Damn Monique
i thought active pickups required batteries, do they not?
Rewatch the video carefully
2:45
bro bro taking mighty Ls
What's with the 9 V battery?
They are active pick up's.
You shoud use a battery box.
Wow thats easy
Biggest pain in the ass for a squire Tele as in don't do it, does not fit the guitar without modification and notice how on hers that there was a battery location on the back of the guitar, yeah you have to have a spot for the nine volt battery

Robert W if I remember right, most emg kits are around $200- $300 depending on your application.
😱
Kit would not fit a BAJA wiring.
Time to put emgs on my accoustic guitar jk
Rip solder
jeny, nice pic
Monique ..
oh yes I'm sure my arrow is facing up

@Nickhead87 Yeah you know a guy that has to call himself that, aint packin nothing. I bet he drives a douchey ass Camaro too!
"EMG pickups. So easy to install, a woman could do it."
If you have a white Tele, the EMG white pickups look good on it.Sound is terrible, but it looks good.
I want Di marzio hire this beauty
Am I blind or did she just put a bass bridge on a guitar?
Hey EMG, TRY FINDING A DEMO OF THESE PICKUPS. Who else wants to be married to a woman that knows how to work on guitars
tttttttt tele
She put the battery in the control cavity when clearly there was a battery compartment routed in the back
Because not all of them do, so this is why she did it.. Use you're brain next time..
Woman changes pickups in a Tele while unfitting music plays
I'm in love.
