@oopomopoo there's no difference lol. I use to do work comp/personal injury litigation. Every corporation hires PIs to gather evidence for their case. Private citizens hire PIs to follow other private citizens in order to boost a custody or divorce case, for example. Anything you do in PUBLIC is PUBLIC, and you should always assume (especially in 2024) that there's a camera in eyesight that could be subpoenaed if necessary, and act accordingly.
And before anyone tries to say it as an "own"- I'm a Christian. Roman Catholic, actually, so one of the more orthodox denominations, not one of these silly new-age "non-denominational" Christians.

I respect Candace's backbone, but I don't find her persuasive and do find her argumentation and demeanor petty. She can claim it wasn't directed at him, but where there's smoke there's usually fire. I've watched significant debates and shows of hers and think she's prone to pettiness.
Since I generally don't trust her ability to formalize an argument, it's VERY difficult to trust her distinct perspective on something so charged.

Since both of you said similar things, I think the thing that the left has shown me better than any other lesson could have is: trust your eyes. They really taught me that. Candace fails my eye test. I didn't like her as an add to the DW because of everything I'd watched before she joined but was happy for her and I didn't have to watch her if I didn't want to. I find (currently) and found (pre DW) her petty and dramatic before she joined. Her explanations, to me, are like when a child gets caught doing something contextually obviously charged but hides behind plausible deniability and semantic potential obfuscated by pretending it's isolated and unrelated, which I totally don't buy at all. None of this makes me right but I trust my judgment better than someone obviously not impartial, ie: Candace, better than I do the opinions of someone deeply involved (Candace). You don't have to be compelled by that, but it's clearly reasonable.

I used to love watching Andrew Klavan as he was the intellectual, funny old guy on the DW team. These actions caused me to cancel and unsubscribe from all DW channels including the ones I still liked (Michael and Matt).
I'm done with the DW and Candace. Neither of them are owed our following. I think the more comes out about the DW, the more unsavory it sounds. That being said, Candace seems way too ready to go to war with her previous employer and continue to be in the spotlight about it, almost comes off as a bruised ego. Move on. If she has anything worth listening to, then talk about that. This really is starting to seem like highschool drama on both parts.

I've found the behaviour of so many of DWs people over this absolutely incredible. I expected them to behave as adults, and I don't feel they have. Candace's relative silence about it all has in my eyes been much more grown up.
