The most depressing stuff about this kind of music is that it reminds me of Chester. That being said, his wife said that before his final days it seemed like nothing was wrong at all. The only glimpse we saw into his mind was his music, and it was all deeply filled with negative emotions. I hope oli is ok

If y'all wondering, Oli wrote this song for his past, vising his pasts demons and his dark moments in life. HE made a whole album track by track thing and he explained it there, so you guys don't worry. He's better now, and i hope he keeps getting better

Well, he also posted something on Instagram about how writing this record brought him to a really dark place, and while it's plausible that he meant remembering his past, I know from experience that often just dipping into that pool of emotions can suck you back in. So I'm still worried.
Just because someone says they're fine doesn't mean it's true this song is a concern because anyone who knows the feelings he describes also knows the weight it leaves behind for many years even when you think you're fine
Mentioning some of those resurface due to lockdown, hence why it's so relevant to many people. At least for me, Im constantly batteling with demons from the past, present and future because I am stuck at home thinking what it the point of life when there's nothing left to live for? No fun, governments are trying to seize full control of the people. It's kinda pointless.

This new album is like fate for me. My mental health is deteriorating as we speak and it’s hard to find something to connect to. The lyrics describe what I’ve been struggling to put words on and the sound is *noice*. This kind of music is so helpful for so many people, inculding myself.

This song is the story of my life...
I once read an article describing that this band, Bring Me the Horizon, is all about addressing the dark aspects of reality through music. I just got into their music this month. I wish I had sooner. I've loved almost every song I've heard from them. But this one in particular feels like they've just poured the years of mentally fighting and battling myself all into a single song. I almost want to cry tears of joy right now because for once it feels like somebody finally fucking gets it.
Like someone finally understands what it's like to just fight oneself every single hour of the day, fighting one's own memories that try to hold them down with every turn. And it's so suffocating because the world just expects you to either wallow in that pain or push through it. But what I'd really want is a solution to deal with it...assuming one even exists.
I'm right there with you. BMTH has gotten me through every stage of my life and I hope you stick around long enough for them to do the same to you. Welcome to the fam!

Dark and depressive lyrics written and produced by several people, not just Chester. And nobody, even his wife, saw Chester's suicide coming. Which is why people are genuinely worried.

I love the "rose-theme" in the video, and how it's related to the lyrics. The flower itself represents the good side to the memories that you can't let go of, and the thorns represent the pain of holding on to those memories. "I don't know what hurts the most, holding on or letting go"...
This fits in "That's the spirit", because it reminds of Doomed and Avalanche ... the screams, the rifs, everything ... 1x1 is my favorite of the album so far!

This song just resonates with me, It's so deep and it makes me feel like I've never before. I'm worried for Oli, I hope he is okay and this is just a really passionate song about some darker times. Jordan said in an interview that while making the album, they were listening to Hybrid Theory constantly and using it as a reference point, so it makes sense the 2 will sound similar.
