It would sound strange that high and powerful acoustically. He's also not a great singer. He's a vocalist who can scream and can get by on cleans. Bjorn should have adjusted the key so he didn't have to do the octave.

Felix Semper if he did, the guitars would have to be electric. It'd be hard to sing it note for note if he was trying to sing it accompanied by acoustic guitars. He'd have to raise his voice for it and the guitars wouldn't be heard well.
