As much as I love Avatar for their willingness to try new styles and instruments for a song or two, that does make it quiet difficult for live shows. I was disappointed in the lack of cello when I saw them live once, but getting a bunch of violins might be difficult if they had help. A piano would be badass to include, but I don't expect an organ for Sky Burial to appear on a stage for one song.
I discovered them last June when I stayed after the opening I came to see finished. Fucking INSTANTLY they went into my top 5 bands. Right beside Judas Priest, KSE, Rammstein & LoG
I was hesitant to pick up this album, because I loved the previous two so much. I heard Johannes say in an interview it was a 'concept album'... well fucking done. Concept solidified. Avatar does not disappoint
