When I got my 7 I wanted bronze wheels as well since it's white too. I'll never do black wheels but the bronze is 'chef's kiss'. The insert of the guy drunk down the steps made me laughhhhhh because of the disappointment with the weight of the wheels. In regard to your style of video; this is what makes the world go round. You have your way of delivery and people have theirs but your audience will appreciate the candidness. I thoroughly enjoyed the video of you speaking about the issue with tuners and I am certain MANY people can agree with you from their own experience or someone they know. I'm a straight, matter of fact talker myself and I resonate with it. Big ups from Barbados
My old gram light 57DR were heavy as hell and made the evos steering feel so heavy, to the point I didn’t really enjoy it. The mat finish that Ray uses on the gram light sucks. Granted mines weren’t ceramic coded, but the brake dust ended up eating away at the finish and turning them from gun blue to a bronzeish grey.
Oh yea those rays are sick. White with the bronze will look mint. My IX is red, so I was thinking that wheel color will mesh good too. Don’t want it to look too gaudy, and I think that color will blend nicely. Thanks for detailed clip as always. Stay safe homie 🙏🏼
Nice evo! +22 is not ideal for ct9a. Really +28 or 30 would be much better if the spoke design clears the caliper. Evos are actually pretty hard to spec wheels for especially when you don’t want to run spacers. Which most people are ok with but not me or you :). Spoke design is way too chunky and angular on these, don’t think they will age as well as the CE28. The weight is insane for a Japanese wheel. lol. At least the car won’t float away now.
Thanks.. I don’t disagree with what you’re saying. Me saying +22 was based on looks with concavity. The 57NRs aren’t a forever wheel. Something I can throw on and take off.
@@aznskrachmaztah for performance, maybe.. For an aggressive look, no.. The most popular JDM wheel is the TE37. Highest on demand spec for that wheel is +22..
Thanks for the feedback bro. I wouldn’t have known about the wheels early if you hadn’t told me about them. So thanks to you for all the assistance you provided. This is what being surrounded by passionate likeminded people is all about. 🫡
@@CJ2X Ive got a e9 wagon and haven’t bought mine yet as because I don’t want to be the same as everyone else ! I do like these gram lights though 🤣 …. Or some Advan rz or the wedsport tc. So many to choose from lol
I found you recently. We are similar. RUclips is mostly young kids Just make the vids for yourself, bro. Amazing Evo. I’m getting some Gram Lights soon, too. Some DRs in Grace Silver
Thanks for the feedback. Most of my videos are for me. The mods and things done to my car are 100% for me.. But with the headliner video, I went out of my way to try to help others out by doing something that hasn’t been done in that level of detail. Social media could be such a great tool but it’s a double edged sword. It’s just discouraging because the car community has changed so much due to social media.
No sir.. 18” only for now.. I wouldn’t hold my breath for that small of a size. That’s a very rare size for wheels, usually only forged wheels are made in that.

Noted! Thanks for the heads up. I should be fine since it’s a garage kept car and doesn’t see the elements.

18/17x9 +29 is the magic offset for ct9a

Definitely like the aggressive look those wheels give
Me too! Stay tuned!
These bronze and stick out spokes are HOT! I was looking for the bronze TE37 and ended up with the saga time attack edition🤣
Can’t go wrong with TEs, just over saturated..
Keep it up bro, Great video, and the wheels look amazing against the white car. I can't wait to see how they will look with tires on the evo 🤙🏽

Rays wheels are pretty heavy too.
ah you said that later lol
Lol, comparable to most other cast wheels..
Randomly stumbled upon this channel - M2C and Evo in Florida? No way - haha me too.
Great minds think alike. 🫡
Love the CEs but looking forward to seeing these on the car I think they will look good too
Thank you man. I agree. It’ll be nice to have both and switch back and forth.
Damn haha i was just talking about getting some ce28s. They look so good on the evo too im glad you are keeping them
Keeping them forever!
They look mint 👌🏻 wheels are such a pain to pick sometimes .
Thanks bro. It’s an even bigger pain when you can only do square setups and have to battle brake clearance and narrow fenders. 🤦🏽♂️

@@CJ2Xyou’re right, bro. If it helps, I will be using that video soon. I’m dropping my headliner and that search is how I found your channel
Coulda went with ze40 +22. Just swap to Evo 10 calipers and rotors. No spacer needed and better braking. Win win 🤙
Then you can’t run 17s.. My drag setup is a 17..
@@CJ2Xya, that’s why I haven’t don’t it YET😈 I say because I can’t run my bbs…. But I haven’t had my bbs on in 3 years🤣
Hey man, install a non-stretched set of tyres. like ad09 or ad08 265/35s
265 is too big of a tire. I would rub.
Fair enough man, have you got it installed yet? 😊

My two favourite wheels CE28 and ZE40
Then you gotta love these new wheels.
My favorite wheels..maybe one day
I remember being in your shoes. You’ll get them eventually. 💪
Where’d u get the wheels from? Looking for a set possibly
Nengun Japan. Link in description.. Just be mindful that they’re straight from Japan.
Curious what's the wheel size with backspacing on those ce28s and tire size?
255/35 18
Do they have these in 15”. These would be sick on a drag pak setup.

They are sexy as hell! They look sick. I like how these pop more but calmer. Idk how to explain it. My bad if I’m annoying in your dms😂 it’s kwezzys😂
Yea, it’s definitely a more mellow setup than most semi expensive Japanese wheels. Thanks for the feedback! 🫡
I’m ready to sell my X for a 9. They looks so damn good😭🥹😍
Do it.. 🫡
Tbh though, Evo 10s also look really good now that they’re way more rare.
I respect you trying something new, but i like your ce better
I don’t blame you.. CEs are still my favorite wheel.
@CJ2X I have the ce 28 on my x, and the bbs se wheels on my 9. I was looking at the tc105 also for the 9 when I change. They are very light weight.
@@zipone_1726 if they came in bronze, I probably would’ve gotten them.
Damn so no Te's🥲
Nope.
