Fantastic! Thank you so much. I have avoided VW for quite awhile and just now learning it(Sketchup has been my only real design/drawing software). Your presentation is clear, concise and comforting. I will watch them all!

Amazing. I do all of my 3D modeling in SketchUp and I’m not a big fan of layout when I need to make any kind of plans. I’m buying the Vectorworks design suite license this week as it’s the last year they are offering it perpetually.

Love the videos! Please could you do one on traditional draughtsman drawing techniques, possibly for details? How you lay them out etc :)

Really good to know we've got international viewership! Yes, I'd love to get more Sketchup content up soon.

Hey Greg, where did you get that scale bar from? The scale bar in Vectorworks is only in Metres. Did you make a custom one? Thanks!

I think you have to switch to feet in the file>document settings>units window and then make a new scale bar.

Is there any particular reason you choose to model in SketchUp in stead of just doing the modelling in vectorworks?

The concept stage is usually quite fast-paced and requires a lot of changes to things like furniture. Sketchup's 3D warehouse has a huge library of models and is easy to navigate. That and also that I often get sent basic models made in Sketchup and am asked to work off that.
I will be making videos on modelling in vectorworks in future though!

I'm sorry, I can't quite work out which bit you're referring to. Can you let me know the time-code?

@@SetDesignChannel yes try it out it’s great ! And it provides nice 2D capabilities, used it a lot for architecture school, wanted to ask if set designer and production designer was the same thing ? Looking to jump into film which is something i’m passionate about. But don’t have that much info about it. Thx
