Hi, Luke. We have had this table for about 2.5-3 years. This table has worked great. The only issue we had was the twisting locking mech has broken on all the poles. I contacted Nemo customer service so I could replace the legs as I have used this for over 75 trips. They sent 4x new poles for free, I sent pics of the issue. Great camping table.
Maybe you can use your influence with Nemo with an idea that would be really cool… Maybe, adding some telescoping legs built-in to these legs, similar to trekking poles, where you can adjust the level of your table when camping. Very rarely do I find perfectly flat spots to put a table so therefore I have not purchased a table yet because I can use logs or rocks. Just a thought and I think it would take this table to a whole different level.
Wow, I’ve learned so much watching your channel. I’m a single mom of one gal and one boy. I’ve been trying to teach them what I am learning from your channel and about the outdoors. I appreciate everything you do! Thank you and God Bless!!!!! P.S. can you make an episode of a good family tent for three or four people??
I am also a single mumma but I on;y 1 son left at home. He is 11 and I also try to teach him things from this channel and get him to watch some especially about how to tell a good product from a not so good 😊
@@hetheringtonfamily8798 hi, that’s great! It’s amazing how many things we do not think and get reminded or taught when we watch these videos. There’s so many things to learn and our children are our motivation to do so. Many Blessings!
I'd love to hear about a good family tent too for those not going backpacking. I run a AHG troop that camps a lot and most of our families will have at least a momma come out with their girls. When they are older, the girls camp together and the adults share a tent. But when younger, they seem to prefer to tent with their parents.
This is a perfect camping table. I purchased one in 2021 when it was first released and just picked up a second for the purpose of there’s never enough table space at the campsite. When I’m not camping, I use these as bed side tables. They’re the perfect size for my small studio apartment & am stoked to have found a dual purpose for them. Great review!
I’m a huge fan of Nemo products. They thought that goes into their product design is amazing. The warranty can’t be beat. I’ve been wanting to pick up one of these tables but I just can’t get myself to spend $150 on it. I think I’ll watch for a sale and get one. Thanks for the review.
Same, I try not to be a fanboy of nay brand or company but Nemo and Gregory have never let me down and it frustrates me to see bandwagoning hate for brands because they don't produce "the" ultralight tent or "the" ultralight pack or "the" ultralight pad. People cheer their failures or whatever reason. Competition is good! Options are great.
Having some experience in the injection molding industry I can tell you that the slight discoloration is an inherent problem in molding,it can be mitigated but it requires pre melting of the plastic then mixing then injecting it all while keeping it molten. This requires extra equipment and is more expensive to do. As it's pretty pricey already I'm betting that this is the reason it wasn't done. As far as the visible mold lines, at bit thicker and those would disappear but that adds weight which of course would totally knock it out of the backpacking realm.
Thank-you for chiming in about this. To me, seeing those "flaws" was a sort of confirmation to me that they made a point of minimizing cost and weight while still keeping it structurally sound. If people want it to look prettier, it would be even heavier and more expensive.
Those are also high-stress points in the molding process; if the plastic was clear you'd be able to see the stress lines under a polariscope. These are the weak points, although are they weak enough to cause actual issues over time? Only time will tell.
I bought this table and camped with it all winter this year. Weight was not an issue because I used a sled. I love this table! A friend and I used this for dining and it worked great. MY con is that I am tall and prefer taller chairs which when watching makes this a bit short. I have been looking for a better solution but I just cut some PVC and slid them over the existing legs to make it taller. It worked, but wish it extended another 6” taller. Overall though, I love it.
Agreed. I can use it for my smaller camping chair.. but on my Nemo stargazer table I just can’t eat off of it. I never used it.. it still had the label on it and I bought it in February from REI. Tried to return it today but they only offer a 1 yr on all products not to do with outdoors. Wtf?!!! Haha now I guess I gotta use it.
We kept finding we needed a folding table. This is so easy to store. ruclips.net/user/postUgkxStL0QRChBju4aQlnTrRgBZvafFog0KU3 Opening and closing is easy as well. It has a great handle for carrying around the house. Its pretty lightweight and slides around easy. We bought it for our daughter’s first sleepover. Breakfast was a blur - but 12 7-8 year olds fit at the table with room to spare. We used it at thanksgiving and 6 adults fit comfortably on each side plus 2 on either end for a total of 8. Super easy to clean up afterwards as well.
I have been using Nemo products for years, they are very good. I would really like one of these tables but I just can't justify the price. Great content and production as usual Luke. Best Regards Ivan
@Judiel Gonzalez exactly. I saw an all aluminum car camping table at Walmart today for $30. Does the same thing and probably would last longer than the plastic.
Excellent review! As you were navigating through your finer points, the most important observation I had right of the bat as far as negativity was the height. As an off-roader who works remotely, having a light-weight product like this to use as a desktop for my laptop is critical. Not being able to use this with a high chair poses a challenge, but not enough to rate this product below a 5/5 star. I really adore the fact that it can be used at a low enough height, functional enough to deploy as a tabletop in a 2-3 person tent. All-in-all, my assessment is aligned with yours. Excellent product! TY
I have two, one is sitting beside by recliner in the house and the other is in our RV. If I'm going car camping or bikepacking I use the one in the RV. These are the real deal and worth every penny you pay for it. I highly recommend them.
As you said, it all depends on what you're willing to spend and how it fits in to the type of camping you want to do. This does look like a really nice piece of kit for different settings.
I love this BUT: Why didn’t they design it so there’s a 3rd option? If the legs sections were separate and clicked together slightly differently then you could have low, medium and high options by just using the foot sections of the legs by themselves.
A great after market option would be a set of 4 9inch leg segments that can fit in the same carrying slots ….. that being said instead of spending $150 bucks for something like this I think I could make a table this size using two pieces of wood hinged together, and legs from dowels or threaded barstool, folded down size could be about the same, and while the weight will be a little more, gonna be a lot more sturdy and durable. And let’s be honest…. As he said this isn’t for backpacking , so shaving those ounces is not as important. This is great for what it is, but you can get the same functionality with a little creativity using more budget friendly products

I love folding camp tables and chairs as well but these are $220 up here in Canada! I bought a pair of Onetigris camp chairs based on your reviews and they've been awesome! I need a table now but the Onetigris is discontinued and paying $200+ for Nemo, Helinox etc just isn't in my budget. I decided to roll the dice on the Primus Campfire folding table.

Nemo has always been a great company in my experience. I think they first became popular in the backpacking/camping world when they introduced their Hornet tents. Currently, they are popular due to their sleeping pads. They have continued to grow and expand their product line at a very modest pace.
I enjoy Nemo gear and never have had any issues with any of their products. You mentioned how the top looks. Thanks for the review, looks awesome but out of my budget at this time. Maybe sometime. I do think the added med height option of having the legs click together would be a huge plus.
Just FYI on the mold marks, those are mostly sink marks and can be easily avoided by reducing the rib thickness on the underside, there is also splay because it's glass filled nylon. You get this particularly around the gate where the plastic enters the mold. This can be controlled with molding parameters (mold and barrel temperatures, injection speed, dwell time).
Who else gives you a lifetime warranty on a camp table with comparable features?, that has to be worth the extra bucks. Don't know about you but I'm rough on my camp gear, I use it hard and often, wish more of it had a lifetime warranty, I'd gladly pay more. For a take anywhere table, vehicle camps, hiking, packing in, I'd say it's a good deal. YMMV. The molding marks on the top are of little consequence to me, as long as they don't interfere with the flat surface. Nice review Luke👍👍, thanks.
Awesome Luke! I was just thinking that it would be great to have a chair height version of my Soto table for base camping. This table fits the bill perfectly, thanks for another great introduction and demo.
Nice table. I think it is a bit much, price wise, but i would consider one when my needs arise. I think a show down review between up to 8 or 10 tables would be a great vid!!
Fishermen have some of the very best tents, chairs, camp beds and tables. Getting one in an auction cheap is usually hard, as they are fanatics about their sport, and cagy in auction tactics (as they are hunters). For some reason there is such divide and world apart from ordinary camping, gear reviewers seldom cross over into the fishing scene, perhaps because fishing things are sometimes heavier as loaded in and out of cars. Ice fishing tents can be cool too, but thats even further out into the twilight zone.
I live in a van and have three table in my vehicle, two of them for long term camping (two weeks normally). My favorite table is a Walmart collapsible one which my Gas One stve rests on. It was less than 20 bucks and has served me well for seven months on the road. The Nemo table is cool but 150 vs 20 bucks...I'll stick with the Walmart brand. Great review though, Luke!
NEMO has some very impressive stuff. I really like their gear. The only problem is, they are EXTREMELY proud of their gear, and it is a little too expensive for my blood!! Great little table though, thanks for the review!!
I spent hundreds on a sleeping bad and pad from them but can't justify spending $150 on a table thats16.65 x 10.35. Like I get you get what you pay for but at the same time, no lol.
While not as tall, I have a couple of REI Outward Side Tables and REI Kingdom Low Tables (no longer available) and I use them both for specific purposes for my camp setup. Buying one of each of the aforementioned tables is still less than this Nemo table. It is a cool design but I can see the legs getting lost and then there's the price which is a bit high.
Nemo had top quality gear and it will cost ya which I'm hood with. I'd like to see telescoping legs for a higher stand if needed but I do really like it
I know this from a pal and it's a damn good table. But for 150 bugs I expect something way lighter and/or more modular, like a 3rd hight option. Nemo is great quality, no question, but again I prefer the Decathlon stuff: it has a similar size, but packed as a roll, so you can strap it to your rucksack way better,it has same weight but for only about 45 bugs. Even if it lasts only about 2-3 years it's much more affordable.
Great design from a great company. I have one of their tents and I love it. One thing I just don't get is why more companies to no put screw in pads at the bottom of their legs as it is guaranteed, you will not be on level ground. Give us an adjustment to make the table level so I don't have to hunt for the right size rocks or twigs to level my $150 table.
Just use a damn rock or stick as a shim... If that's too much work for you, maybe you don't belong outdoors and should stay inside, for your own safety.
I think the con of the 150 pricetag is the only thing i can find wrong with it. Maybe you could show a few budget options that you would not hesitate to reccomend for backpacking?

Would you check out the 5.11 rush Moab 6?
Welcome 👍
I live in a van and have three table in my vehicle, two of them for long term camping (two weeks normally). My favorite table is a Walmart collapsible one which my Gas One stve rests on. It was less than 20 bucks and has served me well for seven months on the road. The Nemo table is cool but 150 vs 20 bucks...I'll stick with the Walmart brand. Great review though, Luke!
I’ve been looking for a new table! Almost bought a decathlon table but they raised the price by $15! Have you reviewed any decathlon?
Still love my sub $40 Coleman. The only Coleman product I own :)
Excellent review, it's definitely on my radar! How about that chair you're using, which one is that?
Hay ,,,I like that table it is perfect for using in my Jeep Cherokee Sports. The price is not bad either 🙂🙂🙂.

Awesome looking product. The salty price for a table.
Can you please review the Nemo shower?
Great design from a great company. I have one of their tents and I love it. One thing I just don't get is why more companies to no put screw in pads at the bottom of their legs as it is guaranteed, you will not be on level ground. Give us an adjustment to make the table level so I don't have to hunt for the right size rocks or twigs to level my $150 table.
Just use a damn rock or stick as a shim... If that's too much work for you, maybe you don't belong outdoors and should stay inside, for your own safety.
@@clydefrog8711 Sorry, didn't mean to upset you. I will be more careful with comments in the future.
Hey Luke:
You gotta review the X-Mid
I think the con of the 150 pricetag is the only thing i can find wrong with it. Maybe you could show a few budget options that you would not hesitate to reccomend for backpacking?
